Just Another High School Story!

As they strolled around and came back, Ethan and Leah were rushed to dress up, now that they were finally done with high school, they still had one last thing to experience, and that was their high school prom, the "Grand Promenade" that Leah had helped helped plan was themed after Twilight, Eternal Love, she had originally wondered whom she'd go to prom with, she had helped plan every little detail, now it was time to enjoy the prom.

She was really unlucky though, as her theme was Twilight, some divine power had taken that literally, she was limping just like Bella, but she knew that her Ethan was somewhere near, and when she finally stepped out in her dress. She was dumbfounded, she had bought it but Neve really got to try it on, she and Linda had gone shopping together, and picked their prom dresses together as well; it was a sweet ritual. Linda's dress was white, but not like a wedding-white, it was more like a 'cream white', an elegant tone, that made Linda's skin pop, it was sleeveless, and backless, and it had this pretty, really pretty, poncho-like thing, with stars that could be worn over the dress, like a cape, almost, transparent with the stars showing, it was breathtaking, Leah was wearing a beautiful dark green off-shoulder dress, since she had a beautiful collarbone, the dress was more 'princess' themed, she did not know what it was but the moment she saw it, she knew that this dress would look really pretty on her, almost absurdly pretty, her instinct, had been correct; as they walked out, you could hear the boys gasp, the guys had gotten ready and were waiting for their dates, to put on the corsage, when Leah walked out, Ethan's heard did a flip. He couldn't believe that the beautiful girl standing in front of him was his girlfriend, his love, he was taken aback, and in that moment, it felt like the world stopped just for them, the moment lasted for eternity.

Leah was just as taken aback, she had never seen him in a tux and everything, the tux, he was wearing a silky shirt, it looked so hot on him, she was exploding on the inside, her heart was doing cartwheels, and her brain was trying to process, and record this beautiful image forever. She realised that he had never taken an 'actual' photo with her, she was nervous, and held her hand out, unlike other people, she was only walking with one heel, her prince stepped forward and hugged her tightly, "You look..." he began, and stopped, thinking for a while, "PULCHRITUDINOUS", and then he smiled to himself, shaking his head, "It took me forever to get that one." She laughed at the absurdly big word he had used, she could care less about what he had called her, she knew that she felt like the world was hers in that moment, he was everything, and she felt complete.

A story that had gone through many twists and turns was finally settling down, like a wave that wouldn't rise, but who knew, everyone has problems, we all go through things that seem our of our expectations, but it all calms down in the end, "You look dazzling too!" she complimented, and then they took pictures, her parents were crying, so were Matt's, it was time for Leah to officially meet Markea, E's mom wasn't scary, so to speak, she was just a little just a little intimidating, Leah had talked to her over the phone a couple of times, but it was her first time speaking to his mom as her 'girlfriend', she didn't know why but she was more nervous than when she was delivering the speech earlier, in front of hundreds of people, "Hello, ma'am, I'm Leah Sanders. Nice to officially meet you." Leah was cursing at herself, she sounded so cold and distant. To her unexpected surprise, she was immediately embraced, his mom hugged her, that meant she was approved, right?

Ms Market was in tears as she explained, "Thank you. You've taken care of him, I suppose, he must have been so lonely here." Leah wiped her tears, and said, "It was all mutual, you don't need to be thankful. At all." Then she gave Ethan a squeeze, saying with her eyes, "Thank you", because of Ethan, she had finally become whom she wanted, she didn't have hope initially, thinking she was a fallen solider, but like a medic, he had instilled hope into her heart, made her believe that a comeback was possible, it needed strength, sure, but it was possible, she could not put into words what she felt towards him, it was everything a person can feel-- everything good.

They walked into the dance hall, their school's auditorium, the hall where they used to have assemblies, as she stepped in, bad and good memories rushed to her, but she brushed them off, she was here to make new memories, not dwell on the past. She quickly made a beeline towards the dance floor, dragging Ethan with her, she had never danced with him before, and she was really good at dancing, she had always been curious as to what it would feel like to dance with someone she loved. He hesitated a little before putting his hand on her waist, she was kind-of-broken, had to be careful, but she pressed his hand firmly, and put her hands around his neck, they could do nothing grandiose, her foot wouldn't allow that but the display of true love, it is always simple, even swaying made her heart fill with inexpressible joy, his arms around her, seemed like armours, in a world of loneliness, she was finally happy to feel this warmth from someone, they danced and danced, and talked, like old times, as if they were in Britain, this felt like a beautiful 'Jane Austen' ball, and she felt like the main character, a handsome guy was holding her, not allowing her to fall, even for a second, what else could she wish for? As they danced, she smiled at him and said, "I am sorry for everything, really I am, Ethan and I'm thankful too. I could not be who I am without you." He helped her turn and pulling her close, whispered in her ear, "You'll always have me." With that he pressed his lips against hers, making a memory, she would never forget, for years to come, it would stay with her... forever. She returned the kiss, almost hiding a smile, she couldn't help but say, "I love you." He didn't need too say it, he hugged her tightly and the embrace, the security, the warmth, just him... it gave the answer.
