Tournament

A couple months had passed since that dream. It was now June 27th. Tomorrow was the day of the class tournament. I Had also learned that I could speed up time with my power - of course limited to a small sphere. I also found out that the sphere of time that I could control was limited to a 5ft radius.

I was in the cafeteria, eating my usual cheeseburger, with my group of friends that I had made. It consisted of Kenal, Ram, Star, and of course, me. Also, to not get me mixed up with Star, people started calling me 'Tel', my last name. It was the same thing that they did with Tenak and Senol. "Soooo." Kenal said. "You prepared for tomorrow?" I took another bite of my food. "Yeah, I think I'm about as ready as I can be right now." "You sure?" asked Ram. "You haven't really been able to get your ability more powerful than you first started - minus the discovery of being able to speed up time in that bubble thing." "Yeah, I'm sure. Or, pretty sure, at least." I was excited for tomorrow, as I hadn't really met anyone from any other class. But there was one person that everyone looked out for. His name was Titro Kite, and his power was Gyrokinesis - basically the complete opposite of Kenal's Crydrokinesis. The reason people were afraid of him was because he had already won the tournament, and therefore Stage two. He could originally just control earth, and fire, like Kenal, but now he could control very large amounts of earth, and create fire seemingly out of thin air, though only temporary.

I finished my burger, and continued chatting with my friends. The day soon passed, and it was finally time for the tournament. The morning started like any other, I got up, got dressed, ate breakfast, brushed my teeth, etc. But when It was time for class, instead of going to the classroom, we were led to a place that almost none of us had seen before. We went through a corridor, passed through a door at the end, and we found ourselves in a giant stadium.

The stadium wasn't like a normal stadium - there were no seats for spectators, just a big enclosed field. "This is the Stadium. This is where the Tournament will commence." Said the teacher. "The walls are made out of 25 ft of Titanium, so no need to worry about breaking through them." As the teacher finished his sentence, other classes started funneling out of different doors located around the stadium. "Those are the other classes, also participating. Remember - if the opponent is knocked out, or surrenders, you must immediately stop attacking, or you will face a penalty. Now - in a couple minutes, the tournament will commence. The first round is a simple duel between two people. The first few match ups are not from our class, so there is still time to prepare. I will tell you once it is your turn, and I will tell you who you are going up against."

The first couple matches, as the teacher said, didn't have any of us in it. But the 5th match had Kenal vs. someone named Xavar. Their ability was called Blink, and they could teleport about 5ft away from themself. The match was close, but Kenal won. A couple more matches. Ram vs. Zer. Ability: Memory. Could create one small memory, or block one small memory in themself, or another person. Sadly, Zer won. Then, Finally, the teacher said "Next: Tel vs. Ben.". The teacher then explained Ben's ability. It was called 'Illusion'. He could create a small non-complex illusion that at maximum can only be 5ft by 5ft. "We're rootin' for ya!" Ram said. "You ready?" asked Kenal. "Well, as ready as I'll ever be." "Good luck." Star said. I nodded, and headed to the center of the field. "Ready - Set - Fight!" and with that, the battle started.
