[29] A Mathematician is Born

Jeremy aced every single one of the math equations, and Ashley and Mason weren't far behind. They stuck together, Jeremy babbling on about how he was doing Math, Physics, Biology and Chemistry in school back in the Western Plains, and Ashley was going on about how she had done all of them but loved Biology the most because she had so much love for animals and nature. Mason didn't do the sciences, he did Business subjects. All the logical wielders were acing Arithmetic, and all the creative wielders, including myself, seemed to be failing miserably.

“That's okay,” Berry comforted us, “Usually creative folks tend to fall back in other areas, like Spelling, Arithmetic, heck, even Language Arts. It just means you're all meant for something else. Not everyone is going to grow up to be a scientist, anyway.”

I guess he was right. Not being good in one subject didn't mean I wasn't good in anything at all. It just took a little more time for us to figure ourselves out.
