Faye stayed up in her room for the rest of the day, not talking to anyone, not eating or drinking anything. She'd just made a mess of her relationship with Ethan and now with Leith. On top of that, she was now stuck here thanks to a poem she knew he'd compromised the last line of so that he could make her stay. Such a fool, she thought him to be. She replayed the one thing she couldn't forget him say -simply because there was no way she'd ever picture him saying it. He was falling in love with her? How? And why?
She ran their entire conversation through her head over and over again until she was fed up, and she plugged her headphones in and wasted the night away, drowning herself in music.
She didn't leave her suite until the next day, though she did so reluctantly. She needed something to eat, and she was sure that there would be a meeting call for all the Guardians assigned to the mission.
