Abigail was pinned on the wall by a strong man, and she felt a sharp pain in her arms. “Let go of me. You are hurting me.” Tears started accumulating in her eyes, but she still stubbornly looked at the man’s eyes in a challenging way.
The man leaned over her. Their faces were inches away, and his hot breathing was fanning on her cheeks. There were many emotions in his deep green eyes which Abigail couldn’t decipher. After a span of silence, Charles opened his mouth and said, “You are not going anywhere. You are now mine; mine to love, and mine to torture.”

That afternoon, Abigail went to meet Lilian at Rose's cafe. Lillian had already reached and taken a corner table. 


Abigail walked up to her and asked, “Hey, how long have you been waiting? 


"It's been almost fifteen minutes and I've already finished a glass of juice." Lilian sulked, glaring at her, “Why did you take so long?” 


“I was looking for something.” Abigail sat upon the opposite chair and sighed with despair. 


Lilian squinted and observed her carefully, “Why are you so pissed off?” 


Abigail puffed and replied, “I suspect that Xander is Charles. No… I am sure that he is Charles. But I can’t find any clue why he is hiding his actual identity.” She was holding her head with her elbow on the table. 


“What?” Lilian’s pupils expanded in shock. Her jaw automatically dropped. “You mean… He… Xander… the successor of Reids… is your friend… Aidan’s assistant… Charles! Are you serious now?”
