Abigail was pinned on the wall by a strong man, and she felt a sharp pain in her arms. “Let go of me. You are hurting me.” Tears started accumulating in her eyes, but she still stubbornly looked at the man’s eyes in a challenging way.
The man leaned over her. Their faces were inches away, and his hot breathing was fanning on her cheeks. There were many emotions in his deep green eyes which Abigail couldn’t decipher. When Xander walked into the bedroom, he heard the sound of the running water in the bathroom. He knocked on the door and asked, “Abigail, is everything okay?” 


“Yes, yes… I am fine.” Abigail’s response came out after a while. 


Xander heaved a sigh and waited for her to come out. 


Abigail was nauseous, but nothing was coming out even after several attempts to puke. She splashed the water on her face quite a few times and stepped out. 


Xander was still standing beside the door. He held her arms on either side and observed her closely. 


“What took you so long? What happened to you?” The anxiety was prominently visible on his face. 


Abigail was a little dizzy too, but after seeing Xander’s worry, she didn’t disclose. 


She placed her palm on his face and smiled, “Don’t worry. I am fine.” 


Xander frowned at her, “No, you are not. Look, how pale you are.”
