Book 5: Sweet Nectar

I didn't quite understand at first what made me volunteer to be her apprentice. It wasn't that I wanted to fool her about who I really was.

It was also true that I have admired her works from afar and have held her in high reverence. But that wasn't enough reason to stay by her side.

I tried to convince myself it will be just a temporary setup. I would tell her the truth in time, and then she would despise me and curse the ground I walk in.

I frowned when I thought how vulnerable she is in this position, how some perverted man can just be staring at her like this in her nightgown, harboring evil thoughts as she lay there defenseless.

When I felt the tremors on my skin and the heat that rushed to my loins, I realized... I am that evil man.
