PHOEBE'S POV.
The whole night, I kept startling awake from my sleep. I was sweating and my heart was beating loudly. Percy's side of the bed was empty. He didn't come back from putting Xita to bed and I didn't bother checking up on them because I didn't want to scare the little princess with my ugly face.
Note the sarcasm.
Realizing that I wouldn't get any sleep, I tossed the duvet aside and walked into the kitchen angrily. I didn't even understand this restlessness. Except that the happenings of the previous day wouldn't leave me.
I made myself a cup of coffee and sat down with it. I'd wait till the sun was up then begin making breakfast. Vera said Xita loved oat porridge. I'd make one.

I was arranging the table when Percy emerged with Xita plastered against his chest.
"Good morning my love. "
He greeted and pressed a kiss against my cheek. The little girl made a grump then pushed him away from me.
"Someone is jealous..."
