When Brianna was ten years old, her younger sister was diagnosed with an illness, her mum lost her job because of the time she took off work to take care of her sick daughter, and her dad was at the brink of losing his own job.
The only way Brianna could think of helping her parents was by begging  the daughter of her dad's boss, 'Cara' to talk her father into letting her keep his job.
Cara agreed to help but on the condition that Brianna be her best friend , of course Brianna agreed how hard could being someone's best friend be.
What she didn't know was that Cara wasn't just someone, being Cara's best friend  meant obeying Cara's orders no matter how selfish, unreasonable and stupid they were.
Now in high school, Brianna crosses paths with Samuel Russo, a handsome basketball player , sparks start to fly between them but Cara has to ruin it all by saying she likes Samuel .

“Cara wake up” I yelled as I shook her 


“But it’s Sunday we don’t have to go to school” 


“It’s Wednesday, why didn’t you say so” 


I ignored her remark and threw a towel at her. 


“Quickly shower or we’ll be late” 


As we approached our lockers a guy walked towards us, I recognized him as the quarterback, his name was Shane. He and Cara dated for a while last year and he still tried all he could to get back together with her. Cara on the other hand had moved on but it didn’t stop her from letting him think he had a chance with her. 


He shoved his wavy hair back away from his face and smiled. 


She looked away from her locker and glanced at him for a hot second.
