Chapter 19 : Learning From Generous People

Allen immediately appeared behind the trio. The three mercenaries stood in a triangle formation, with the Silver rank battleforce warriors taking the lead.

As soon as they spotted Allen's clone, they assumed their fighting stance and the leader attacked the phantom clone while the two Copper rank attempted to block his retreat route.

The real Allen from behind shot three bone daggers in an unpredictable angle towards the Copper rank swordsman on his right side. At the same time, Allen enhanced his sword with battleforce and chakra attacking the other Copper rank swordsman.

*Swish*

*Ptui!!!*

*Trrrr*

The three sharp dagger met it's target and swiftly pierced through Copper rank mercenary's right leg, heart and the head.

Allen thought of the possibility of his attack being deflected or dodge by a credible Copper rank battleforce warrior. That is why he aimed to at least cripple the enemy with his attacks, but fortunately for Allen the enemies were too engrossed by the clone technique and were slayed.

Immediately after the mercenary on the right died, Allen shoved his merciless sword through the heart of the other advisory who couldn't retaliate and was caught unguarded.

Allen couldn't celebrate his triumphant slaying. The Silver rank warrior sensed that something was wrong.

His attacks against the clone were ineffective. He observed the illusionary state of his target when the sword phased through, without any feeling of blood and flesh. He understood that something was wrong instinctively.

The Silver rank mercenary immediately looked back and his attention was drawn to Allen. It took him just a single glance to know that he was being ambushed.

The cold bodies of his comrades have just fallen on the ground.

Although still confused and bewildered about the overall situation, his battle instinct and honed fighting sense took over.

He turned his body towards Allen and didn't hesitate to change targets, attacking immediately.

A sword glow flashed as brightly as the stars in the darkness and approached at blinding speed.

From Allen's point of view, the hastily released blades from the Silver Rank Battleforce warrior seemed to form a large net that sealed off all his surroundings.

The figure that rushed towards Allen was the one of the three Silver Rank of the mercenary group.

So far, Allen has never fought someone at that level yet. Experiencing the Silver Rank sword strikes personally now, he knew that those sword glow were lethal and aimed to take Allen's life.

Allen let out a cold snort and intercepted with his sword without backing down. The moment Allen's sword struck out, the countless light blade attacks that flew towards Allen dissipated without a trace.

"Wha…!?" The opponent was caught off guard, startled by Allen's successful attempt at deflecting the light blades.

Not only that, Allen instantly took the initiative and lashed out at the assailant without sparing a single moment. In but an instant, the assailant took a defensive stance and he struggled to block Allen's flurry of attacks.

'This.. 'Allen noticed something as he fought against the Silver rank mercenary.

Allen was effectively parrying the enemy's attacks and constantly using soul force to increase his perception.

Just then, he figured out to his bewilderment and surprise that he can actually sense the path of Battleforce circulating inside the enemy's isle!

'This didn't happened when I fought with 'Clock Horse' mercenaries.'

'Is it because only Silver rank Battleforce is concentrated enough in the isle circulation for my soul force to encapsulate. If I can sense it a bit longer then I can probably figure out his isle path then... ' Allen thought and subsequently the desire to immediately kill the silver rank mercenary dwindled.

Allen could use this chance to formulate the opponent's Battleforce technique, of course it wouldn't be the complete version but Allen can compare this mercenary's isle with his own isle activation path and Battleforce circulation.

Through this he can grasp, comprehend and formulate his own Battleforce technique nature type. He don't need to spend tremendous amount of money to buy various manuals.

Allen's eyes shone with green light. If he can actually use soul force to simulate other Battleforce warrior's meditation techniques then he'll hit a home run. This is basically stealing other's fortune!

The Silver Rank mercenary tried to use brute force and take advantage of the disparity in their experience and Battleforce rank to break Allen's stance.

However, Allen's swordsmanship was too unpredictable and managed to suppress the enemy's move before it was even able to be unleashed. He followed up with a flurry of incessant attacks like a rush of floodwater which forces its way through any gap, however small.

The constant flow of strikes forced the Silver rank swordsman into a situation where he could only defend without being able to counterattack.

Allen's swings always unpredictability changed trajectory often before it landed and aimed for the attacker's openings, forcing the attacker to gradually move backwards.

The enemy was already sweating all over. Had it not been for Allen's constant pressuring that didn't allow him to catch any breath, he would've already called for help from others in the forest long ago.

Not even while dreaming could he ever imagine fighting against someone with swordsmanship as fearsome as this kid who rendered him this disabled.

At this moment, Allen's performance wasn't like that of an green horn at all. The assailant has only felt pressured like this when he sparred against a Gold Rank Battleforce warrior!

"Ahhh!" In a momentary lapse of judgement, the mercenary received a large cut and groaned away in agony.

'Done! Thank you for your generosity.' Allen mentally thanked his opponent.

He had recorded the opponent Battleforce movement and rechecked twice to make sure no variable are present.

After the enemy utility was fulfilled, Allen increased the ferocity of his attacks and didn't pay much heed to technique forcefully striking towards the opponent's chest.

The mercenary hastily took a few steps back while deflecting several waves of attacks with much fear in his eyes. Initially, he was happy that Allen took the offense against him and thought that he would be able to break Allen's sword with his higher ranked Battleforce.

Allen used Iron Rank Battleforce to fight so, the enemy thought he was just that.

Before, he found it hard to parry Allen's swift and careful strikes. Currently, Allen no longer cared much for finesse and technique or keeping him alive and attacked with brute force.

The mercenary brought his sword to meet Allen's only to discover that what he had expected to transpire didn't happen. Instead, he felt a strong wave of force passing through his own sword that caused him to loosen his grip on his weapon.

The longsword was knocked out of the assailant's hands and he instantly scrambled backwards in fear and somehow still managed to escape certain death.

Allen was incredibly content with the gains. He didn't attack to kill the opponent immediately, Allen let him run towards the fallen sword.

"Hey, What is the nature of your Battleforce technique'" Allen asked as the assailant flocked around the place after picking his sword up like a frightened little bird.

"My what?" The Silver Rank was breathing heavily and he looked confused.

"Nature, If you tell me I would consider letting you go!" Slowly advancing towards his enemy, Allen said in a bewitching voice and he swung his sword in an elegant manner like a peacock dancing under the lights of the moon around him to attract the opponent's attention.

Without any giveaway, he slowly raised his left arm. Twang! A soft sound of air being pierced could be heard as a thin projectile flew out from Allen's left sleeve without any obstruction towards its target.

Listening to Allen, the mercenary's head started to ache and cold sweat formed on his body. A loss of control over the body only increased his anxiety.

As he prepared to defend the attacks from the approaching Allen, he felt an urge to scream out loud in frustration.

Allen instantly leaped towards the assailant with his sword letting out a loud swishing sound and the light of the moon reflected off its cold metal edge.

The mercenary couldn't move, the assailant suddenly felt a blinding pain coming from his left foot.

He quickly lowered his head to look at his leg only to discover that a bony, long white dagger had buried itself into his foot and nailed him to the ground.

Remaining rooted he was unable to evade the flurry of attacks from Allen and had no ability of parrying whatsover.

Terrified beyond his wits and awoken from pain, he looked at Allen's approaching figure, the assailant quickly begged for mercy to no avail.

Allen's sword hit his target and broke through the Silver ranked Battleforce defense with little to no resistance and with the sound of flesh being cut, the sword dug itself deep into the assailant's body.

"Earth!" groaned the assailant with all the energy left within his body, as his unfocused eyes rolled back.

Allen smiled getting the answer from him after breaking his Battleforce defense and controlling him momentarily at his last breath, Allen said sincerely, "Much appreciated."

Allen pulled out his sword, the body of his dying opponent slumped down to the ground like a sandbag that was leaking sand.

Allen turned to his back and moved towards the forest and blood poured from his nose and he breath out with difficulty, "That last stunt took a lot out of me."

Allen sat down with a mild headache but smiled inwardly. Today is an amazing day for him, not only has he gotten the amazing mysterious book which increased his advancement rate and aided his powers, but he also got the chakra to work outside the body and use Ninjutsu. And now, he was also a step closer to decoding his Battleforce technique.

"I am so tired but there are still many more to take care off. The night is still young for a whole lot of killing." Allen rested his back on a tree and he wiped his blade removing the blood. He also proceeded to check everyone's possession and took his spoils of war.

....

"I definitely heard some sounds coming from there, you two go check that way and I would handle this way." A Silver rank mercenary commanded and he walked towards a suspicious part of the forest.

One by one they were losing contact with their teammates, even though one cannot rule out the possibility of magical beasts, they have to be extra careful.

"Tap*

The Silver Rank warrior marched ahead his sword ready in hand. Suddenly his ears perked up from a slight motion and walking sound.

He immediately release his Battleforce and a silverish aura enveloped his body and circulated inside his isle.

*Tap*

"Who's there? Come out!" The Silver Rank warrior readied his sword to attack the oncoming figure.

"It's me!" A rather hoarse voice echoed and a brooding face appeared, it was a limping man who came out of the forest.

"Grey! What the hell man! Where were you and what happened?" The Silver Rank warrior let his guard down when he saw a friend.

"Don't ask, got caught in a trap by the little shit and met a magical beast!" Grey pulled an angry face, his eyes seems to spit venom. The Silver Rank sympathized with him and came close to his friend and tried to help him.

"That fucking twat is a lot tricky than we thought." Grey came near as well. He kept his head down when he walked, a chilling light flash through his eyes as he looked at his friend," Let's go! we should attack him together."

As Grey slowly approached him, the Silver rank mercenary nodded and turned. With his head looking around, he complained, "What the hell is wrong with that bitch, Gosh! How can we be so troubled against a pesky ant! And this fucking forest is even more troubling. We sure are in a shit load of trouble, if he don't get him then– AHHH!!!!"
