Chapter 49 What's best for him

In the evening, Graham was sitting on his bed reading through a magazine when the door opened and on raising his head, he saw a young woman staring at him unblinkingly. She looked as though she couldn't believe it. Her eyes were glistening with tears as she came closer and said," So it's true? You're finally back to me my love." He stared at her and wondered who she was. His mother who had been sitting at the corner stood up and came to him saying," My baby boy. She is Ciara your fiancee. She's been devastated ever since you came here." Abigail who was also in the room widened her eyes in disbelief. What was their mother doing? She lied. One thing Rebecca gained from his amnesia was that his marriage with Ciara would not be so hard. Ciara hugged him tightly sobbing and telling him how she missed him.

"Don't worry Ciara. He is starting therapy tomorrow and as soon as he walks again, your wedding preparations will resume," she assured and Ciara nodded in agreement. Ciara has never been this lucky. She couldn't believe that soon she will be the young Mrs Cullen and sleep next to him everyday.

Graham on the other hand only wanted one thing and that was to get his memories back. The rest didn't matter to him. He will let them do whatever they wanted. He wanted to know how he was put in this condition. Ciara was forbidden from telling anyone that he had woken up yet. A while later, Rebecca called Abigail out of the room before saying," Don't even think about telling him anything. I am doing what's best for him." "But Mom, you're lying to him. Just tell him that you want him to marry her and let him do the decision. You're simply taking advantage of his situation," said Abigail. "Oh, so now you want to say that you care about him more than I do? Where were you when he received the accident? Listen, he is my son and from today, I'm deciding for him. Period," with that, she went back to his room.

Back in Sun City, Dylan had made a year and a half. Luna had taken both him and Leah to the

amusement park. They ate candies, ice cream, popcorns and did face painting. At the end of the day, they had had a lot of fun. Luna was driving them back home when Leah said," Aunt Luna, we want some ice cream at McDonald's." "You've not had enough? You won't be able to eat dinner," she said. "Please aunt Luna," she pleaded with puppy eyes and Dylan also copied what she was doing and she couldn't help but burst into laughter. She couldn't refuse them. They were too cute and adorable. "Okay let's go but you're not having much, okay?" And they giggled.

When they reached McDonald's, she bought for them ice cream before sitting with them at the table. They began eating and she became busy on her phone. "Luna, what a surprise," she heard a familiar voice coming towards them before raising her head to see Elijah. She had been meeting him on rare occasions these days. "Oh, it's you," she said.

"How are you these days?" "Am good. You maybe?" she asked. "I'm good now. " He looked at the little ones and asked," You're here with the kids? I guess he's your son?" She nodded and he continued," How cute." "I can see you've over stayed in Sun City this time round," said Luna. "I actually didn't tell you but I permanently moved here. I think staying here is better." "Okay Mr Elijah we will leave now," said Luna as she stood up. "Okay. But I would like to have dinner with you please. Do you mind?" "Unfortunately I can't. I'm ever busy with work." "How about weekends?" he asked. "I'm sorry I can't. On weekends I be with my son," she said apologetically. "O- okay. I understand," he said and they left.

When they reached home, Luna informed Ethan that they were back and instead of coming, he sent a chauffeur to pick her up. Bella was frustrated and she knew he was avoiding her.

The next day at work, Luna came and sat opposite Ethan and he knew she had something to talk about. He asked," Yes Luna?" Taking a deep breath, she said," We need to talk about something." "Sure." "Uhm... you and Bella?" asked Luna. "What about us?" he asked. "Okay to be specific what do you feel about her?" she asked and he seemed to be in deep thoughts. She again said," Okay. I understand if you find it uncomfortable to talk about such things with me but I think it's best if you two sit down and talk about it." "And her? What are her feelings for me?" he asked. "Like I said, you need to talk to her about it."
