By the time everything ended, Dylan was sleeping. Taking him to bed, Luna laid him to rest. After taking a shower, she joined him in the bed and as if sensing her arrival, he snuggled closer to her. Getting her diary, she began noting today's events and how she was feeling. She had always done that. After everything, she also laid down to rest closer to her son. She pulled him so close and hugged him before drifting off to sleep. They had prepared him a room but he refused to sleep without her.
That same night, Ethan was in his bed remembering what Bella had told him. 'She likes me? Does she really? Isn't it lust? But what do I feel about her? It's so confusing.
He had thought that Bella got feelings for him after that night totally oblivious that she had long fallen for him. He decided to let things be the way they are.
Six months later, at Cullen hospital, the nurse was making sure that everything is clean. Wiping each and every corner of the room and on turning, what she saw shocked her making her gasp at the pair of grey eyes looking at her. She immediately ran to call the doctor. Most of them had lost hope thinking that he would never wake up. "D-doctor, he's a-wake. Mr Cullen," she stammered and on hearing it, three of them left rushing to his room. And to their surprise, he was there gazing at the ceiling. They approached him and began checking up on him, all his vitals to ensure that he was fine. It took a while for them to finish. "Mr Cullen? Can you hear me?" asked the doctor. After a moment, he nodded lightly. "You can clearly see me?" he asked and he nodded. "That's good. Do you know why you are here?" he asked and he didn't reply. "Do you perhaps know your name?" After a while, he shook his head indicating a no. The doctors had expected it. He tried sitting and they helped him. He leaned his back against the pillows before giving him some water to drink. After, he began scrutinizing the room and just then, the door was banged open before Rebecca ran and hugged him tightly while shedding tears. Abigail, Mr Raphael and Vikram entered the room also and the doctors excused themselves leaving one to explain to them the condition he's in. "Oh my son. Thank you for fighting. How are you feeling? Does it hurt anywhere? I promise not to leave you again, ever," she sobbed as she looked at him, examining his face with her fingers as he stared at her expressionlessly. "Are you okay my baby boy?" she asked again and didn't receive any response. She looked at the doctor and asked," What is wrong with my son? Why is he not replying?" "Uhm...Mrs Cullen he's fine. That commonly happens to patients from commas and it is a result of him taking long without using his vocal cords. But it's temporary he will talk again. But the most important thing you should know is that he acquired amnesia as we had expected. He doesn't remember anything starting with himself." Everyone's eyes in the room widened. They didn't expect it. "Mother let us also see him," complained Abigail and that's when Rebecca remembered that she wasn't the only one who was dying to see him. She gave them space as she came to talk to the doctor.
The fact was that Graham's voice was fine but he didn't want to talk. He was confused, he didn't remember anything, not anyone and he wanted to be alone. And now this woman was sobbing calling him his son, everything was frustrating him. When she left, he felt relieved and a younger one came to him.
"You may not remember me but I need to tell you that I missed you so much. Thank you for coming back to us. We were so devastated and Dad has never been the same ever since you were brought here. It's been a year and a half and it's the longest we've ever waited," said Abigail as she was crying. With that, she hugged him. Mr Raphael also talked to him then Vikram.
"He will need to stay at the hospital. He needs to undergo therapy which will help him walk again. His legs became numb." "How long will it take? And gaining his memory?" asked Rebecca. "For walking it won't take long. We have a specialist and I guarantee that the most he will take is four months. But about his memory, we can't tell. It may take days, months or even years." Vikram this time spoke and said," I think we should keep this a secret until he walks again. After that, we shall tell the world." After thinking about it, they all agreed.
