With that, Ethan bent and captured her lips with his kissing her hungrily. She moaned urging him to give her more. Both had missed each other so much. Before he knew it, his coat was discarded and his shirt buttons were already opened as Bella's hands began roaming around his chest. He carried her and headed to his office lounge without breaking the kiss before he could lose control and take her there and then. Not that he couldn't, it was just because he didn't want her to stay in the cold for so long.
Back in Blue City, after much persuasion and trickery, Luna managed to convince the maid who accepted to give her the uniform. She came to the car and got her dress and decided to head to the hotel. She had tied her hair in a high ponytail just like how the maid's hair was. On reaching the gate, the guards looked at her questioningly and she said," You allowed me to get ice cream for Miss Abigail Cullen." "What is that bag for?" asked one of them. "On my way she asked me to rush to the mansion and get her another dress to change into," she said. They asked for the bag which she gave and they confirmed that it was a dress and shoes. They finally allowed her to enter. But as she was soon disappearing from them, one guard called her but she refused to turn making two of them come after her. She ran inside the hotel and hid in the first door she could open and heard their footsteps stop right at the door. "Are you sure about what you're saying?" she heard one ask
"I'm positive. It's that same woman who came with a man earlier. I identified her from her blonde hair. That maid had black hair," said the other. Luna's heart was pounding in her chest. If they caught her, it meant that she would miss the chance of ever talking to him. Luckily for her, she heard a woman calling them asking what they were doing there instead of supervising with the others at the gate. After hearing the sound of their footsteps fade away, she opened the room and peeked to see if the corridor was safe. She slowly walked as she kept on glancing left and right to make sure that she didn't bump into them.
After making sure that she has lost them, she headed to the washroom to change out of the maids' outfit so as to fit in the ballroom.
A while later, Luna came out of the
washroom dressed. She was in a long spaghetti strap peach dress. It was backless which exposed the porcelain skin of her back. The dress had a long slit which ended at her mid thigh and with every step she took, her long legs came into view. She matched the dress with a pair of silver stilettos and a silver clutch.
Her hair was tied into a messy bun leaving two strands falling on either sides of her small face.
Her lips were painted with a deep shade of maroon lipstick giving her a nude look. Finally, her face was covered with a small silver shinny mask. She was a sight to drool.
She slowly walked with confidence around the vast ballroom. She could tell how luxurious the ball was, not that she expected anything less from the Cullens. As she walked, her eyes were searching for only one particular person. She could see how she had started attracting unnecessary attention from both men and women. Men were clearly drooling while women were glaring at her jealously but she didn't care. She had a mission here. As she was still moving, her eyes caught sight of the person she has been looking for and she got rooted to the spot.
He was leaning against a large pillar with both hands in his pockets looking down as if thinking about something and as if sensing a certain presence, he raised his head and saw a beautiful woman looking at him.
When their eyes met, Luna's heart palpitated in her chest and she felt as if it had skipped several beats. She couldn't believe that she was seeing him in flesh and blood. He was there standing looking straight at her. He looked even more handsome than the last time she was with him two years ago. She looked into those grey eyes that had captivated her and left her senseless. That sharp nose and those soft thin lips that she remembers how they felt on hers even though it was two years ago. To her, everyone else had disappeared and all she could see were him and her. After what seemed like forever, she started making slow steps towards the one man she has ever loved without breaking eye contact. But before she could reach him, his mother approached him and he tore his gaze away from her. Halting in her steps, Luna's heart thumped in her chest at the sight of Rebecca Cullen and Immediately turned away.
"Graham! Thank God I found you. Why are you standing here? Everyone is looking for you. Come my dear son," she said.
Graham glared at her before asking," What did I tell you mother? I'm not ready for marriage or any sort of engagement. But you insisted and did what you wanted. Let me tell you, this engagement means nothing. I'm not marrying her mother," he said and left her there.
