Luna heard everything that Graham told her and her heart was filled with happiness. So it meant that he didn't want to be engaged to Ciara Roberts right? It seems that there's still hope. She glanced at her and saw that her face was red from anger. She saw her walk to where Ciara was and whispered something in her ear to which she nodded before exiting the ballroom.
She wondered what they had talked about but she decided to look for where Graham had gone because it seems that the ball was soon ending. It was a half past ten already. Walking around, she caught sight of him standing at the extreme end staring outside and she decided to use this opportunity to approach him.
Graham was feeling irritated by his mother. The woman wasn't listening. He was still confused about many things already. And this forced engagement now. He wasn't even sure whether he loved Ciara in the past because he didn't feel anything for her right now. As he was still lost in thoughts, he felt a certain presence near him before he inhaled a faint similar scent. He turned to see and saw that it was the woman he had seen not so long ago. He looked at her, this time closer. His eyes taking in her appearance. She had a nice body. Ever since he woke up from comma, he had become an introvert but for some reason, he didn't hate it when she invaded his space. Her presence gave him a certain sense of comfort. Although she was wearing a mask, he could tell she was a beautiful woman. "Why are you covering your face?" he asked in his husky voice. Luna heart thumped in her chest when she heard his voice for the first time after two years ago. It still had the same effect on her. Before she could say anything he asked," What is your name Miss?" "L-Luna. My name is Luna," she stammered. "Luna, it's such a nice name," he said. The way he called her name hadn't changed at all. He called it in the same way that could make her forget how to breathe for a second. She decided to use this very opportunity and not to waste any time. "I-I would like to have an important discussion with you," she said as she began fidgeting nervously with her fingers. "Sure. Go ahead...Luna," he said. Did he say her name to distract her because he knew the effect he made whenever he called it? She thought. "I don't think this place is sui- "Graham, I finally found you," said Ciara who interrupted Luna before she could complete what she was saying. "What do you want?" he asked frustratedly. Before she could speak, she looked at Luna from top to bottom with her eyes seizing her before saying," Uhm the media personnels were requesting for a photograph for the both of us." "I don't want any photographs," he said as he glared at her. He very well knew that she had something to do with the sudden engagement. Luna excused herself leaving the both of them after sensing that the two needed some privacy. She stood leaning against the wall while keeping her eyes on them. She saw that it was Graham who left first with displeasure evident on his face. She didn't want to see him angry. She wanted him to be always happy. As her eyes followed Ciara, she saw her go towards the drinks section and fetched a glass before taking a look at everyone in the ballroom. After ensuring that no one was seeing, she immediately dropped something in the glass before shaking it as if to ensure that it dissolved in the drink, maybe Luna thought. Ciara looked around again ensuring that no one was watching before she gave the glass to Rebecca who took it to Graham who was discussing some matters with some business men. Luna couldn't believe what she had seen. Were they trying to poison him? They wanted to kill him?
Wasn't Rebecca his mother? Did she know that something was added in the glass? But according to the way she saw both women eyeing each other, it seemed that she knew. She had to make sure he didn't drink it. But how could she? Yes, she had to look for Mr Vikram or Miss Abigail. She rushed looking for any of them. But unfortunately, she couldn't find any of them. She decided to come back and think of something but her eyes widened in disbelief when she saw that he had gulped the drink in one go leaving the glass empty.
Luna didn't know what to do. She was late. She couldn't do anything for him. She couldn't even go to where he was standing. Was he going to die? She stared at him unmoving.
Graham was discussing some business related matters with some business men when his mother offered him a drink which he drank without thinking of anything. After a while later, he started feeling uncomfortable. He was suddenly feeling hot and he began to sweat. He unbuttoned his coat but it didn't work. He excused himself to go to the washroom. After seeing this, Luna and Ciara each in her place decided to go after him. But before Ciara could go anywhere further, his father grabbed her wrist and took her with him saying," I've been looking for you everywhere. Come someone really important wants to meet you." "Father, not now. I have to attend to something urgent," she pleaded. "No Ciara come he's soon leaving. It won't take long," he insisted as he dragged her to meet the person.
