Chapter 178 Epilogue 6 Vikram and Ciara

Ciara was sitting at the couch in their bedroom looking at her wedding pictures in the photo album when she heard footsteps approaching her from the back and she turned her head to see Vikram who stood behind her. "You're checking them out again," he said as his hands were in her hair. "Yes, I can't have enough of them. You looked so handsome," she praised him. "And you looked so beautifu. The most beautiful bride I've ever seen," he said and she smiled. Over the years, Ciara had learned to love Vikram wholeheartedly and she now appreciated the decision made by her parents. She got to believe that no one would ever love her like he did. After two years, she unexpectedly got pregnant again and after giving birth to a girl, she suggested that they perform a big wedding so that the whole world would know that he is her husband and she his wife. After another period of two years, she got pregnant again and gave birth to another girl making them three kids.

He got the album from her and closed it before saying," Let's bathe and have some rest. It's getting late." Sighing, she stood up and the two strode to the bathroom to have a shower and after, they went to bed.

As soon as they cuddled, his hands started roaming around her body and she giggled at the ticklish feeling. He then leaned forward and whispered something in her hear that made her chuckle and she asked," Are you serious right now?" "Dead serious," he replied before kissing her lips and she wrapped her arms around his neck as she responded to his kiss. After making love, they slept in each other's embrace.

In the middle of the night, Vikram suddenly woke up and without opening his eyes, he pulled Ciara closer to him and went to sleep again.

Before he could catch sleep, he felt a certain presence in their room and he realized that they might have gotten intruders. He knew he had to think of something real quick. Carefully, he removed his hands from Ciara and turned on the other side pretending to be in sleep. He then half opened his eyes and saw that no one was on his side. Skillfully, his hand reached the bedside drawer and he got a gun then tucked in the duvet when he heard whispers," Do you think he's awake?" "I don't think so," said another manly voice. Vikram then realized that the intruder was not only one and he handled the gun carefully. A while later, he had footsteps coming his way and he prepared himself. The person then leaned forward to check if he was sleeping and when he turned to leave, Vikram opened his eyes and saw that he was masked then got out his gun. Pointing it at him, he said, "Stop right there."

The man froze and Vikram looked around the room only to see the other man who was now standing next to the home made safe in their room looking at him. Ciara who was sound asleep, her hands searched for Vikram in the bed and when she didn't get to him, she opened her eyes and gasped at seeing the masked people in their room. She looked at Vikram as she tightly clutched the duvet around her chest and whispered," What's happening?" "What do you want?" Vikram asked the one he was pointing the gun at. "The password for the safe that's all. We don't want to hurt anyone," he said. Ciara got the nearest robe and wrapped it around her body then securely tied it. She instantly became worried about their kids wondering if they were safe in their rooms.

She carefully pulled out the drawer on her side and her hands landed on something. The man standing next to the safe saw her and quickly came to her which distracted Vikram and the man he had aimed at caught the gun which they started struggling for. Ciara on the other hand cut the other man's wrist who screamed in pain. Using the opportunity, she got out of bed and stabbed him on his shoulder and he went on his knees wailing. He had underestimated her. Ciara on seeing Vikram fighting with the other one didn't know what to do. On one hand there was him and on the other, their children. She decided to first run to her kids' rooms to check if they were okay because they were young and couldn't defend themselves unlike him. She immediately ran outside but before she could get out, she heard a gunshot and on turning to see, it was Vikram who was shot in the stomach and she screamed," No!!"
