Chapter 179 Epilogue 7 Vikram and Ciara

"Shut up!! Don't make any sound and stay right where you are! I told you to give us the passcode but you failed. Give it to me before I finish him off," he warned as he pointed his gun at Vikram. Ciara bit her bottom lip so as to prevent herself from making any sound with a blurry vision due to the the tears that were endlessly flowing from her eyes for seeing Vikram in danger. From the corner of her eyes, she saw that the other man she had stabbed had gotten up as he winced in pain. "You're going to pay for this, b*tch!!" he said as he made steps towards her. "I will give you the passcode but please don't hurt him. I beg you," she pleaded and the man said," Hurry up! We don't have forever." Ciara took quick steps to the safe and began pressing in the passcode when she heard gunshots and on looking, both the intruders were on the ground as they were groaning in pain. She became surprised and that's when she saw the head of security barge in the room and on seeing her, he asked," Are you fine Ma'am?"

"How did they enter?!! We have to take Vikram now at the hospital and pray that nothing happens to him because you will be a dead man!!" she lashed out before running to where he was laying. She found him unconscious probably because of excessive bleeding," Vikram! Please wake up! Vikram!" She shook him several times but he didn't open her eyes. "Uhm.. Ma'am we need to take him to the hospital," the head security reminded her and she snapped back to reality. "Yes, yes. To the hospital. The kids!!" she exclaimed as she stood up. "They are fine Ma'am. I checked them first and right now they are with the nanny," he assured as he lifted up his injured boss. "Okay okay. Let's go to the hospital," she said as she helped him and they took him to the car. Ciara sat at the back with him but she realized that he was bleeding so much. His face was so pale which made her panic even more. She couldn't imagine her life without him and now it wasn't just her but also their children. Tears flowed from her eyes as she told the guard to speed up the car.

A while later, they reached and he was rushed to the ICU. She started pacing back and forth tightly clutching her robe. She then remembered that she hadn't informed any of their family but she realized that she didn't carry her phone. Later, she borrowed a doctor's phone and called them.

A while later, Vikram's parents reached first and found her sitting in the waiting area. "Did you get hurt too?" his mother asked as soon as she saw the blood on her robe. "No. It's his blood. They are operating on him now," she told them. "I'm sorry for what happened. How did they even enter?" asked his father. "I don't know either but the butler told me that the police has taken them." "You shouldn't worry. I know Vikram is a strong man and he will surely survive this," Vikram's mother assured her and she nodded in understanding. Just then, her parents also arrived who were later followed by Graham and Luna. Her mother tightly embraced her.

"They hurt him in my presence Mom," she sobbed and she coaxed her by saying," It's okay. He will be fine, you shouldn't worry."

A while later, Luna came to her and said," Don't worry, Vikram will survive this I'm sure." She nodded and Luna continued," Let's go to the washroom and you clean up. I've gotten you some clothes to change into."

It was then she realized that she was still in a bathrobe and they went to the washroom.

A long while later, Vikram's operation was successful and he was transferred to a room.

He was half conscious by the time he reached the room. They all waited for him to wake up and when he did, his first question was how Ciara and the kids were. "They are all fine and Ciara is here," his mother told him and when he saw that she was fine, he fell asleep.

In the evening, both their parents left after seeing that he was stable and promised to come back the next day. When everyone left, Ciara sat on Vikram's bed next to him as she looked at him. He had really given her a scare.

She realized that she loved him more than she had thought when she saw him in danger. Tracing her fingers in his face, she saw him smile and she said," Sorry. I woke you up."

"I like it though. How are you?" he asked. "I'm fine how are you feeling? Does it hurt so much?" she asked. "Not when you're here. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. Tell me what happened." "You shouldn't feel bad about that. The intruders were your employees," she said. "How interesting.."
