Episode 12

"Sooo wait, let me get this straight. You had an identical twin all along and we didn't know about him?" Jacob questioned with a puzzled look.

"Yeah, ask him" Kyle said pointing at Kelvin

"Your friends are suppose to know something this important" Brian added

"I'm sorry guys but can we go in and sit down so we could talk about it" Kelvin suggested as he moved past them to the sitting room.

They sat down in the sitting room with questions written all over their faces as they kept staring from Kelvin to Kyle and back again, trying to make sense of what they were seeing and marveling at the resemblance, they couldn't differentiate them at the moment. "So, if you guys are twins, why aren't you going to the same school?" Brian finally broke the silence that was beginning to linger

"Well we both wanted to, but Kelvin alone got the scholarship and our mum couldn't afford my fees, so we had to split. I'm currently attending a government school, Wendy wood" Kyle explained.

"Who else knows about you two?" Jacob asked.

"Erm...i think just Luke and anyone living around us" Kelvin answered

"I can't believe you didn't tell me. I'm here best friend, I should know about these things" Brian complained.

"Don't beat yourself about it man....besides I told you I had a plan" Kelvin smiled

"Wait...what plan?" Brian inquired

"The Angie plan I told you guys about" Kelvin replied.

"He knows about Angie?" Jacob asked.

"More than know" Kyle replied

"He's been the one doing some of the cleaning at Angie's house" Kelvin explained with a mischievous smile

"No way! And she doesn't know?" Brian asked looking thrilled.

"Not at all" Kyle said.

"What about if something slips?"

"Nothing will. Kelvin tells me everything that happens between them in school and I tell him everything that whenever I encounter her at her house, so we keep each other updated" Kyle explained.

"Whoa that's so cool and devious. I can't wait to see how it ends" Jacob added

"Have you ever actually been to the house Kelvin or is it just Kyle everytime?" Brian asked

"Yeah I have been there several times not just kyle" Kelvin replied.

"That's so sick" Brian laughed.

"But what happened yesterday at the party? You disappeared and so did Angie. Her friends were looking all over for her" Jacob asked.

"It's kind of a funny story....I took her home" He replied.

"What do you mean took her home?" Brian asked.

Kelvin explained the incident that transpired at the party, replaying the event in his head. He carried her on his back from the party to the bus stop, ignoring the stares of the passerbys until he got to the bus stop. He boarded a bus to her area and took a cab to her house. He was nervous all through the journey because of the looks he got from passengers in the bus and the Taxi driver too.

On getting to her house, she began opening her eyes when he reached into her pocket and grabbed the house keys. He unlocked the doors and carried her to her room. He figured Jessica was on nightshift hence the empty house. He tried calling her but his phone was dead and he concluded it was probably best not to call her and tell her, her sister was drugged at a party.

Kelvin laid her gently on her bed, covered her up with the bedcover. Turning to leave, Angie openeded her eyes halfway and muttered "Where am I?"

"At home" he replied

"Please don't go, I'm scared" She whispered, grabbing his hand before drifting off to sleep again. He adjusted her covers, stared at her a while as she slept peacefully. He smiled and proceeded downstairs to the living room to lay on the couch. On hitting the couch, the thought of Valerie and the kiss they shared hit his mind and he smiled before drifting off to sleep. He woke up very early, cleaned the house and left for home before she woke up to see him.

"Whoa, I knew Victor was shady" Jacob pointed out.

"So what happened when you took her home?" Brian asked.

"Yeah, what happened? And why didn't you come home last night" Kyle added "Mom was worried"

"Well nothing. I just took her home and then left but my phone died so I couldn't call you guys and I didn't have enough cash on me to come back home so I went to Luke's house and spent the night. I went back to the house to clean this morning before I came back home. Luke gave me a little cash" Kelvin lied, praying they didn't asked more questions.

"That's stressful I can't do that" Jacob said. "So you kissed Valerie at the party huh" Jacob continued.

"Really??!!" Kyle said smiling.

"Well yeah it did felt good" Kelvin replied. The boys laughed, discussing more about what happened at the party.

Back at home, Angie woke up feeling tired and lightheaded. She thought she just had the strangest dream. She stood up, stretched, put on her flip flops and made her way downstairs. She searched around and found her sister in her room getting dressed. "Wait, I thought you just got back" Angie questioned, rubbing her eyes.

"Yeah but I'm going to the mall to get some groceries or have you forgotten Dad is coming back today" Jessica replied, running the comb through her hair.

"Oh yeah, Dad" Angie said with a disappointed look

"Cheer up, everything is going to be good and you haven't seen him in a while, you should be happy"

"Yay!" Angie raised her hands above her head mockingly.

"Well anyway, it's a good thing your friend came early to clean the house today. At least that's out of the way" Jessica stated, sitting to put on her shoes.

"What do you mean came early?" Angie asked with a curious look on her face.

"You know, Kelvin, I saw him while leaving it was as though he slept here...hope he didn't Angie?" Jessica questioned staring Intently at Angie.

"Oh my God" Angie muttered, she stood up and ran to her room without saying another word to Jessica or even replying her question. She fell on her bed, facing the roof and trying to recall what happened the previous night. She thought hard for a while and when it started to come back in bits and pieces, she squinched in embarrassment "Please tell me it's not true...I'm going to hang myself" She complained, feeling irritated with herself. She fished for her phone and found fifteen missed calls and nine messages from her friends, so she decided to call Grace back.

"Hello!"

"Hey girl, where are you? Are you okay? We were worried sick about you" Grace questioned

"I'm at home and I'm good. I'm sorry for disappearing like that. I was not feeling good and I went home" Angie said hoping she wouldn't be caught in a lie.

"We called but you didn't pick up and we texted too" Grace stated.

"My phone was on silent. Don't worry it won't happen again. What about you guys are you okay?" She replied Changing the topic.

"We are fine. So is your dad still arriving today?"

"Yeah he is" Angie replied with a sigh

"Maybe I'll come visit you guys later or tomorrow" Said Grace.

"Okay that would be great" She replied before ending the call. "Well that went well" She said to herself. Angie sat up on her bed, trying to remember more about what happened at the party before she blacked out. Without remembering much, she decided to ask Kelvin whenever she sees him again.

"So aren't you worried that she might fall in love with your brother?" Brian pointed out, walking beside Kelvin and Jacob as they head for the bus stop.

"No, I'm not. My brother knows the plan" Kelvin replied nonchalantly

"But what if your brother falls in love with her" Jacob added.

"Like I said, he knows the plan, he won't allow himself to and besides I don't really care, I just want to break her" Kelvin said

"That's pure evil" Jacob stated

"Nope it's revenge for all the guys she has wronged" Kelvin said defending his statement.

"What about if she finds out? He's your elder brother right? You know, elder twin brother" Brian inquired.

"Yes he is and she won't find out. Not until I want her to"

"That would be one hell of a show to watch" Brian smiled

"Yes it sure will be" Kelvin said nodding in agreement.

Veronica opened the fridge, took out a can of milk and retreated to her room. She sat on the bed scrolling through Facebook when a message appeared on the screen. 'Hey! I'm outside your house, can you come out please'. She squinted her eyes, not knowing who the message came From. She took a quick sip from the milk and went out to find out who it was. "What the hell are you doing here?" She asked surprise on opening the front door. "How did you get my number and how do you know where I live?" She kept asking.

"Relax, I always had your number, have you forgotten? And I sometimes follow your friend Angie to visit before. I'm shocked you've forgotten so quick" Luke explained

"Well I don't have your number. What do you want?" She asked sternly

"Why are you acting mean. We were friends once.....anyway, the reason. I know you were probably the only one that supported my relationship with Angie and now I need that support. I want her back and I think with you by my side, I can. So I want you to help me" He explained

"And why would I help you do that? when I know the type of guy you are and that you're definitely not good for her" she replied, crossing her arms

"I have changed. I'm serious and it will benefit you too" Luke said smiling

"Benefit me how?" She inquired curiouy

"I know you have always had a crush on victor and you still do. So if you help me with Angie, I'll help you with Victor" He stated. She thought for a while, staring at him intently, wondering if she should trust him.

"Okay, but nobody can know about it" She agreed.

"Of course. It's in our best interest if nobody does. Deal?" He said extending his hand for a handshake.

"Deal!" She accepted his hand. "Now go before my dad sees you" She added, pushing him away

"Oh yeah, I forgot your dad is a pastor" He laughed as he walked away.
