Incentive

Time left until failure: 20 hours

<<>>

Four hours had passed since the 'devastating' news of the new mission had been given to Camellia. What has she done so far?

The top of Camellia's head could be seen poking out the top of the water barrel. She had been sitting in the water simply staring at the curse that was the house, procrastinating as much as possible while trying to figure out how she could possibly revamp this 'shit-shack'.

'I want tea...'

'Wha~ But I needed more time~'

'I don't even know where to start though~ There's too much~'

Sinking even deeper into the barrel, she lights a piece of fruit thread to heat the water slightly

"Ahh~ so nice~"

After receiving a counseling session from Miss Mona about how being cold blooded would make her pass out in warm water, getting kicked out of the barrel, having it forcefully brought back into her inventory and being forced into a new outfit that was more 'work based.' She begrudgingly Stared at the house with dimly lit eyes, semi hoping it would crumble before she could start working.

'It's ugly.'

<*sigh* Yes, it is. That's why you have to fix it right~?>

***

Oh you fool~

It seems as though you have underestimated just how lazy I- *ahem* Camellia is!

She has only been as active as she has been, testing things and practicing because she was excited about being isekai'd!

If you give her an actual project, or work to do that she sees as too difficult or too large a task, she will completely shut down!

"I have to fix this whole house? I'll start later~"

"I have to write a 3000 word essay?! Later~"

"I have to walk all the way to work today? Nah~"

Hehe, it's simple!

Make her task seem smaller than it actually is!

"Why don't you just fix the outside then for today?"

"How about you just write the intro then?"

"Why don't we just go get a coffee then instead?"

Then she will already be immersed and more likely to continue her task!

"This part could use some work too"

"I already did research for the first paragraph, might as well continue"

"I'm halfway there, and have a drink, whatever I'll go"

Yup! It really is that simple, however, if she lazes around for too long, she might just not even bother starting!

"Even if I only do the front, I won't be able to finish it on time"

"I'll still have to work on it for an hour or so"

"The coffee is expensive and I'd still have to get dressed"

Right! So you have to give her a type of incentive along with it! A reward! It can be small like some tea, or something that will shock her into overdrive making the work quality exquisite!

Sure is! but that's simply a base reward! Of course she would get paid for going into work, but if she works on a holiday, she gets a bonus!

Who knows, it just be like that sometimes~

[You would know pretty well I feel]

{Dumb}

-How are you guys talking like this? Is it a mental disorder?-

**

'But then I would have to work on it from the inside and it's a total mess~ I'll just wait and do your stupid dance~'

So lazy...

'Reward?'

She shot her head up like a dog hearing the word 'treat'

'You said a reward for starting right? What kind of reward? It's only for starting right? Not for finishing x or y?! Right Right?!?'

'Of course! As long as the reward is good enough, I will gladly-'

"..."

Without saying a word, the pink loli slowly stood up from where she was laying, putting the mask she was using as a fan back in her inventory. She then slowly walked towards the house and immediately started fixing the collapsed wall.

"MEAT!!!"

~The rubble was cleared in less than 2 minutes.~

"UUUOOOOOOAAAHHH!!"

~The collapsed wall was replaced in 1hour and 20 minutes~

~The small-sized wall was finished.~

Total time taken to replace it: 1hour and 20minutes.

Structure strength: Impeccable

Looks: Good

~~

'Where's my meat?! Can I eat it now?!'

***It's finally Miss Mona's turn to manipulate! Wake up dammit!

'REWARD?!'

'...'

~Calculating Inspiration stat...~

~Inspiration stat: Max~

"POOOOORK!!!

Running around like a crazed person, she kicked down the side of the wall that hadn't collapsed and started to repair it as well from the ground up

~Small-sized Wall was repaired in 1hour~

She then knocked down an outer wall by burning the lining that held the dilapidated pieces of wood, bone and vines that held it together.

Letting out a puff of steam from her nose, she quickly cleared the rubble and started working on the wall, throwing pieces into her inventory, only to take out bundles of bone and wood placed neatly, sewing them with wood in mere minutes.

~Medium-sized wall repaired in 40 minutes~

***Meh, I'd say steak is better, but ribs are top notch!

"..."

"RIBS?!"

***WERE YOU STARVED YOUR WHOLE LIFE OR SOMETHING?!

[She looks so scary...]

{Demon...}

***Even the beast lord is scared of how she looks?!

After knocking down the other medium sized wall, she ran in a circle around the center of the inside of the house, laying down a long thread made of the weaker bones. She then threw it over her head, tying it around the mess of a roof. She then lit the thread, causing the overgrown grass and bushes to start burning, along with catching the roof on fire.

"Bone burns at an extremely high temperature before becoming ash. Ash can put out fires by suffocating it. The ash from the bone-only roof will fall onto the grass putting it out before it gets out of hand. The wood has a higher burning temperature therefore the bones burning won't be enough to take out the rest of the building. The two walls I created had wood lining to make sure they wouldn't burn down, and they're sturdy enough to hold up the building. The back wall should fall down though."

***I mean, of course I knew that already but... To say it aloud so monotonously…

[Wh... What is she...]

{Scary...}

As the roof and shrubs burned, Camellia quickly built up the wall she had recently trampled, replicating her technique used on the other side... but somehow more efficiently...

~Medium-sized wall repaired in 35 Minutes~

~Roof destroyed in 20 minutes~

~Large-sized wall destroyed in 28 minutes~

"Feast... Pork Feast..."

"HAH?!"

***Did a little girl just scare Mother Nature herself with just a sound and a glare?

[Did you see that demon?! Of course she was scared! She's just doing what she must to survive!]

{MM! MM!}

***But... She can't kill Miss Mona?!

As she repaired the back wall, she had done it in a way where she could use it as a staircase to gain access to where she would build the roof.

~Large-sized wall repaired in 40 minutes~

Camellia then quickly pulled out wood from her inventory and made long lines of thread across from the back wall to each side of the door frame. She then threw wood and bone on top of the thread, which was used as a hammock for the materials that she then used to create support beams.

***I took a construction class in high school

~Support beams finished in 18 minutes~

She then quickly made an outline for the roof. She had made large curved bones by combining a bunch of smaller ones, then leaned them against each other with a wooden beam between them. She quickly did this on both sides of the house, she then connected them together with another long beam of bone, which she made using the same technique.

~Roof frame finished in 50 minutes~

~New weaving technique added to list; 'Artificial bone shape'~

Filling the roof with bone shingles lined with wood, she quickly sealed off the top, resulting in an olden Japanese style roof.

~Roof finished in 50 minutes~

'better reward'

"Snow and water easily drain off this roof, causing easier upkeep, less repairs and an overall more sturdy structure."

***Your true intentions are leaking through...

Sliding off the roof, she kicked the door down and almost instantly replaced it with seemingly a wave of her hand.

~Door replaced in 3 minutes~

Stepping on ash and slightly burnt dirt, Camellia instantly started forging a shovel out of wood, completely reinforcing it with bone as she went using the same 'shapes' technique for the end and handle as she did for the mask, resulting in a strong tool even capable of digging the tough dirt of this forest.

~Tool made in 40 minutes~

Quality: Great

Looks: Like a shovel

~~

After digging up a thin layer of dirt, she quickly started laying down a layer of bone, completely sealing to the four corners and walls of the building, then covered it in wooden tiles.

"Seals off mold and possible water damage as well as helping it stay leveled. Stops the building from possibly sinking and turning into the tower of Pisa"

<... Construction class?>

***Mhm, It was a pretty good class I'd say.

~Floor completed in 1hour~

~House was completely rebuilt in 7hours, 32 minutes and 28 seconds.~

Remaining time: ~12hours and 30 minutes
