"What are these 'battle gloves' you mentioned?"
"Cami."
Finally building up the courage to speak out, Zeph decided it was best to stop this from progressing any further. Causing Eric to look him in the eyes, attempting to subdue him with just his gaze, which almost works. Zeph however, does not falter.
"Hmm~? Alright halfbreed chibi-smith."
'Dammit, I hate that that name suits me here...'
"You said you needed to watch me fight first? What weapon should I use for you to get properly motivated?"
"uh- I guess..."
'No good... or maybe this is a chance?'
"I guess it depends on what Zeph is fighting with... If that's what you're planning on doing, I think I would put you up against him using his axe, that he's used to, with you using..."
'Shit.. what's a weapon that matches terribly against the axe..? I'll just ask haha"
"Zeph, what weapon is a bad match against your axe?"
Shocking every person in the room, Eric seemed to think she was joking as he laughed and shook his head facing the floor.
"Listen Savage, if you think this is your chance to take me down-"
"I would say another, smaller two handed axe. or two one handed. If you aren't at least twice as strong as the person who is using the large axe, that would be decently impossible."
Scoffing, Lord Eric seemed to almost fully dismiss everything Zeph said... Until the young girl spoke again.
"And Elves see better at night correct?"
"That is right."
Zeph nodded while answering the small girl.
"Alright, I'll make you a weapon now that I think suits you. Then you can test it against Zeph and Yoru tonight in the arena."
"..."
Laughing to himself, Eric placed one hand on his face while raising his other to call the guard over once again.
"Get the forge and materials ready for the girl out in the arena. Clear the stands of all the Savages, then send everyone else back to the hotel."
"Y- yes Lord Eric sir!"
With confusion on everyone but Camellia and Eric's face, the soldier ran out of the room, while the two simply looked at eachother.
"You're a sly one, Chibi half-breed."
"Must've gotten it from my human half."
Laughing to himself once again, he jumped from the window and landed into the arena, where 2 large orc-like beasts carried out the a forge from the hallway the contestants had once exited from.
"What are those?!"
"Those are Orc-slaves. They're a tamed semi sentient monster they use as labor slaves. Make sure you do not learn from them."
As Zeph answered her, he gave a pitiful gaze to the Orcs which set down the forge in the middle of the arena, watching as all the Elves left from the stands much with the same look on their faces.
"R- right."
'They give such pitiful looks to these orcs when they are treated much the same...'
Looking back down to the forge as materials are brought next to it, she nodded her head in resolution, promising once again to herself, as well as every other elf in this town- no world!
'I'll free you all... I'll get strong enough and rich enough to buy and free all the slaves.'
'Then when I finally get to meet god, I'll give him an extra punch to the face for you!'
Grabbing Camellia by the arms, Zeph jumped down to the arena and dropped her back on the ground, without taking his eyes off of the Lord the entire time.
"The other contestants can leave, you're all too terrible to even bother watching. As for those of my race, You can all go back to the hotel now, The savages and your head guards shall guide you."
After bowing their heads to him, the contestants began to leave the stadium along with the drunken human Royals and spectators who came to watch. In fact, since the forging even had finished, when Camellia and Zeph were brought out of the arena and brought to the Lord's side, they had become increasingly more bored, causing them to drink even more.
"Those useless alcoholics."
Looking over his shoulder, he fixed his gaze back onto the small pink haired girl who seemed lost in thought while staring at the forge.
'To be honest I'm not that great of a smith still... I only managed to make Urumi because it was made of simple parts just kinda sewn together, then the blueprint...'
"Half breed, Get to forging."
"R- right!"
Heeding his call, she waltzed over to the two forges that were placed adjacent to each other, with a table packed with materials behind her, creating a small corner, which strangely suited her size quite well.
"You seemed to have the idea to make 2 items regardless of what you decide to give me, that right?"
"Y- yea, most like-"
"Make both, at the same time."
*gulp*
'CURSE?!
....
CURSE!!! HAHA! Miss Mona~ you truly are the best! Truly the greatest ever! What an amazing mother!'
*Crack*
Cracking her fingers and neck, she unequipped the newly made Urumi and secretly put it into her Soul spa- inventory* Sorry, about that author-kun.
***What? That fourth wall break seemed so unnecessary, is he just trying to fill word count or something?
'I have confidence Cami has a plan... I hope'
'This pipsqueak has a plan right..?'
'Oi.. as the last two teammates in the arena could you at least have some confidence?'
Turning towards Camellia, he grabbed a large sword out from a soldiers hand before itting down in the chair he had brought out for him, stabbing the tip into the ground, keeping his hand limply resting on the top of the handle, while perching his head on his other hand that rested on his knee.
"If it isn't at least a outpost level, or dungeon type weapon, I'll blow up this entire city in an instant. I hope you keep this in mind."
"Haha... Of course... Eric Sir... Lord?"
"Lord."
"R- right!"
'What in the fuck is an outpost level..?'
'Whoa~? Is Miss Mona secretly a massive Nerd~?'
'Right'
Assembling some of the material on the table, she began tossing wood and metal into one of the forges, before beginning to group different sizes of bones and leather, separately from the pile.
'I see.'
Sticking her hand into the forge, she begins to melt and sew the metal into a chain, attaching it to her somewhat broken glove, fixing it in the process.
'So it'd work kinda like those rings that give +Magic defense or something? Maybe a sword that comes with a dash ability?'
'hmm..'
This is the first time even Miss Mona has been lacking in information... This isn't pretty concerning. Usually she would always have an answer and even tease me by not tellin- She never knew the answer when she teased me did she..?
*Sigh*
After finishing the sewing of the chain, the glove was back to it's original state, however, she wasn't done. She then began to meld metal to the side of the thumb, creating a small metal blade-like claw that went straight out, then suddenly bent slightly inwards.
'Good.'
~~
Bing!
Tool Created! (2/5)
Alert! ;
This too was neglected during its creation process! It holds a grudge against it's owner for ending its creation process multiple times and still not finishing it! It locks its special abilities for now until it acknowledges you as it's creator!
~~
'Great~ another troublesome companion. That's fine for now though I suppose. At least it doesn't have any negative side effects.'
Pulling her arm out of the fire, the glove was obviously repaired, glowing red in a few areas from the hot forge, and a newly formed claw extruding from the thumb.
"Half-breed, I thought I told you to make ME a weapon?!"
Standing from his seat he grasped the circle end of his sword, alerting Zeph and Yoru to ready themselves slightly. Yet Camellia simply glared back at him without an ounce of fear.
"You want it to be Outpost or Dungeon grade right? I needed to repair my equipment, it was made with rusted metal and was never properly finished, and it was missing a few parts, still is. If I were to try and make your weapon without doing this it would have probably broken in the process, ruining the weapon along with it."
"Now, can I go back to making the weapon? Or did you want to kill your only chance at getting a personally designed Dungeon grade weapon? Not to mention the talent you're killing. I can do this at my age, lets assume I'll grow a bit better in the future shall we?"
Relaxing his hand once again, he looked Camellia in the eyes once again before scoffing and taking his seat once again, plopping down and kicking his foot up, resting it on his knee.
"You're too confident for a half breed, I will kill you instantly whenever I feel the need. Not make the weapon."
"Gladly, anything for you Mr Eric"
