Doesn't Suit Him

***

The plan is simple!

Lure the paid guards down their respected paths!

Get the royals absolutely plastered and kill them when they sleep!

Then finally~~

[Oh! I can guess the final step easily!]

Oh yea tough guy? Tell me then!

[You poison the big lord Eric, then fight him when he's weakened!]

{Wrong}

[Wh- what do you mean wrong?! That's a completely viable solution!]

Maybe it is in kindergarten but not in the big leagues!

[You poisoned people in Kindergarten?]

N- well of course not! (not on purpose)

Anyways! How are you supposed to poison someone strong enough to take on Yoru, Maki AND Zeph all at once?! Camellia couldn't even see that lighting squirrel move, yet Zeph was able to one shot it! You really think she could slip something into his drink or food without seeing it? In your dreams!

[W... well I guess that makes sense... Then how do you suppose this monster gets taken down?]

They can't! Impossible!

[wh- then how..?]

Lets say this is earth right now! There's a super villain who's selling drugs and using child labor! Yet, murder is illegal! How do you deal with this demon of a human?

{Kill}

Now now Beast-sama~ Murder is illegal!

{Kill}

I know~ I know~

[Hmm.. I can't quite remember...]

``Po!``

Oho! Transfer student! Hello, would you happen to know the answer?

``Prison! I've been there once! It was fun!``

R- right..?

Anyways, You lock em up and book it for the hills!

[How do you expect to imprison someone you can't even poison?]

HoW dO yOu- you trick em! Just because they're smart doesn't mean they can't be distracted! Though well... that is kinda what it means but... Anyways! {

-Lure them somewhere!

-Create a reason for them to stay!

-Slip out under their nose!}

Simple see?

``Po! Hard!``

[Yea, that probably wouldn't work]

{Haha}

Wh- man... What mood killers! See, it would have worked! but a few things got a little messed up is all...

Like how we were gonna use the sword Camellia made as the bait... And if that didn't work we were gonna use Maki as bait... but Eric seems to hate her... And Zeph's sword isn't gaining enough attention because of how good Camellia did...

[She really screwed everything over huh?]

Yes but no! Because she was able to switch out Zeph with Maki, she can now continue with the plans for the lure and separate part of the plan! She can also maybe help stage a surprise attack!

``Sounds useless!``

[What good is a surprise attack if it won't hurt him?]

{Hm}

L- Why is my class so chaotic today?! So what if that Eric guy is strong?! His name is Eric! How dull!

-Apologize to all Erics-

S- sorry Eric...s...***

*ACHOO!*

"B- bless your Highness Sensei Mr Lord Eric Sir"

"Too many honorifics."

"Yes, sorry Eric"

"ITS LORD!"

Sitting in a smaller chair with no arm rests, the young lady gleefully held her hands on her kneecaps while kicking her feet back and forth. All while the Lord who sat in a tiresome way simply watched the tournament continue with his back fully slumped in his seat.

"Why is it so boring now? Are you the only competent smiths in this entire village?"

In the arena, out of the 6 Elves who were competing, only 4 remained.... 1 of which was simply a young boy who was learning to be a chef, A woman who was actually a tailor, and two middle aged men, only one of which was an actual blacksmith!

After the first competition, the forging battle was completed, only 3 weapons were made! The blacksmith had make a wonky Qiang(Chinese spear), the other older man made a simple kitchen knife from bone, while the teen had made... well, it was a bone chipped into the form of a dagger... All while the woman made leather shoulder pads with a chunky layer of terribly crafted metal on top.

The second part of this competition was meant to be a weapons test, where they slash increasingly durable items... the Qiang made it to level 3... Where slicing a watermelon in half was lv2, the goal of Lv 3 was to simply create a gash in a wheat dummy, which his dull blade failed to do.

*Sigh*

Looking increasingly bored as he played with his royal head dressing, he twisted his neck and slouched his head to the girl. After looking at the glowingly nervous girl, he then peered back up at Zeph, who watched him cautiously since he began looking at Camellia.

"Hmm~?"

Raising his right hand, a human knight ran up to his side with his head bowed, ready to take orders.

"How much material do we have left?"

"E- ah Lord... umm... I believe we brought enough for about 8 or so contestants?"

Hearing the soldier's words, Camellia, Zeph and Yoru's attention were all grabbed completely as Eric turned his head back towards the stadium.

"Hmm~?"

'This... Isn't good...'

"Half breed savage child."

"Y- YES?!"

Jumping to attention, she quickly stiffened her back and sat up straight while almost giving herself whiplash to look at the man who's stern voice called to her.

"Strong arm sword. Do you know it?"

"St- strong arm..?"

Putting her hand to her chin, she closed her eyes while nervously sweating on only the side of her head Eric couldn't see.

<*Sigh* I don't know how you're sweating like that but stop it. A strong arm is a sword, much like our universe's greatsword. It's a long and thick blade that's too heavy for its own good, truly a unruly weapo->

'COOOOLL!! I wanna make it!'

"I'll make it! Big heavy sword right? Like reaches the ground while hilted at your shoulders big? I'll do it, sounds fun yea I can do that mhm."

Clearly shocking Zeph and Yoru, even Eric himself seemed he was slightly shocked by her sudden resolve! However, this man isn't that simple.

"Just so you know, this isn't for you to have more fun. This weapon isn't to be made for you, or any other savage. This weapon would be for me."

Putting her hand on her chin once more, a bead of sweat rolled down her temple once again as Zeph and Yoru were about to nearly jump half of the planned Coup just to keep this from happening. Camellia might not be strong, she's unlucky and seems quite stupid despite her snake's tongue... They are sure however, that her smithing is unmatched in their town. If someone who takes all 3 of the elves' strongest fighters to simply hold him back, with an uncertain win... If someone like that got a hold of a dungeon grade weapon designed specifically for him...

Weapons aren't exactly graded on a ladder-like scale where 1 is better than 2 and 3 better than 4 etc, instead they are graded on their unique qualities.

Dungeon grade equipment are blessed with their own magic properties, regardless of the user. A warrior who has an affinity for fire could use water magic if his weapon was dungeon grade.

However, the true kick to dungeon grade weapons, the reason why they are so searched for, is their possible 'growth' ability, which allows it to grow in strength along with the user. If the user is level 1, so is the weapon's strength, if the user is level 70... then the weapon's base stats at level 1 would also be that of a level 70 weapon.

"Though it would be cool to basically make my own Guts swords, They really don't suit you Eric."

"Excuse me?"

Beginning to stand to his feet, Eric peered down at the little lady who dared to question him, bloodlust in his eyes causing Zeph to reach for his hilt, despite being fully ignored by the Lord. Yet Camellia sat fully serious, eyebrows furrowed and eyes leering back into his.

"I mean it, the size does't suit you. Even if you had the power to swing it, which I don't doubt you have by the way, the thing that makes them worth using is giving big, slow, brawny people extra range. Giving someone like Zeph a sword like that is very worth it for example, he's giant, so you can make the sword much bigger, it could be like he's swinging a tree."

Crouching down in front of her, he laid his elbows on his bent knees, now looking her directly in the eyes, pushing his blonde hair out of his face, he extended his arms straight out to his sides, before asking in a flat tone.

"Well then little miss half breed expert, tell me. What weapon do you think WOULD suit me according to your expertise?"

Scanning down his elegant, yet obviously muscular arms, her eyes gazed across his chest which seemed to be muscular enough to push against his tunic. He seemed slim and elegant at first glace, but looking again, he was actually very well built. Maybe her senses were dulled from looking at those monster elves for so long.

"Can you turn around please? show me your back."

'Cami... You aren't actually considering making him a proper weapon... right?'

Zeph couldn't help but grow his worry as she very seriously began examining him. She even went as far to tell him accurate information about using a greatsword.

"Mm, you're practically built like Mike Tyson, I don't know why you're built like all you do is punch trees all day, but I think a one handed axe and shield or battle gloves suit you better."

Turning back around with his now exposed fully muscular torso, he peered down at her again with eyes of pure seriousness.

"That's your opinion?"

"I believe so, though I don't know how you fight, I think those two could suit you."
