V.3-C.59│Empyrean Victorious IV│

Byss was a planet in the Deep Core, near the center of the galaxy, discovered no earlier than around 25 years ago. A local day lasted 31 standard hours, and a local year lasted 207 local days. It was the endpoint of the Byss Run.

Byss itself was somewhat of a myth, seeming to be the perfect place to live. Its eerie blue-green glow, caused by its sun, also added to the strangeness of the world. Despite this outward appearance, however, Emperor Palpatine's dark-side energies were everywhere, corrupting not only the inhabitants, but the planet itself.

Byss was the secret throne world of Palpatine and the location of his towering Imperial Citadel. He also kept his secret supply of clone bodies there.

The Emperor's Citadel, also known as Imperial Citadel, located on the planet Byss, was a great black and red-tinted tower in the center of the throne city.

Within the Emperor's Citadel, no longer was that of Sheev Palpatine's, a.k.a., Darth Sidious' influence and instead, the Citadel had been rebuilt out of the material of the Yuuzhan Vong.

This planet was remolded within the matter of a few months, now taking on a more biological and diverse place to settle in their people. Growth for the Yuuzhan Vong is very important as of know, with their number's dwindling.

They may be able to try and take back their planets, that is if the Empyrean hadn't destroyed everything they had tried to spread themselves. Then there was also the corruption spreading at an alarming rate into the territories of the Yuuzhan Vong, following after the droid army of the Empyrean after very conquest.

It was like the corruption feed itself on the disorder created from such a conflict, and the Yuuzhan Vong were to be devoured.

This great black and red-tinted tower contained the personal quarters and offices of Palpatine and his officials. The Emperor's throne room, Clone Labs which kept his collection of clone bodies, dark side Sith alchemical laboratories, the Great Hall, a war room, and libraries filled with dark side tomes were also located within the Emperor's Citadel.

It was in this citadel on his throne world that Palpatine experimented on a wide range of life with his dark side powers, even sentient beings. There were also sublevel breeding facilities which birthed the deadly Chrysalide rancors.

The Yuuzhan Vong made amble use of these beasts to make their own.

Elite Imperial Sovereign Protectors, the best of the Imperial Royal Guard, were also stationed at the Imperial Citadel, but were no more. He kept his cloning facilities within the palace to make it easier and faster to resurrect himself when needed.

There were also a series of training rooms in the Palace compound where Palpatine trained his Dark Side Adepts and a few chosen Inquisitors.

He also kept several Jedi and Sith holocrons which he had acquired. The Emperor's throne room was also capable of serving as a military command center which he used to supervise the World Devastator assault on Mon Calamari.

Overall everything had been acquired by the Yuuzhan Vong.

The droid army of Anakin's landed on this planet and a great battle began like all the others. However, it was the Yuuzhan Vong facing off against a form of their most hated enemies. Technology that was metallic in nature, and lifeless.

While the war was raging, the droids had more than one purpose here and that was to set up a special teleportation device.

They have all of the necessary equipment needed to do so. Anakin hadn't sent these droids in just because they were able to resist the corruption that stopped everyone else from coming.

No, he sent them in because they can resist the corruption and would be able to set up a teleportation device that would enable him to skip through that corruption, even if he has some resistance himself.

It was better to take care of the Yuuzhan Vong before the corruption got their hands on them.

"Hurry up! The Emperor wishes to get this up immediately!" One of the droids called as they quickly assembled this rather basic and not too complicated device. Well, it was very complicated given the technology gone into it, but this is meant for Anakin to get himself through.

After all, an emperor challenging an emperor is the only way to truly show that he is meant to rule amongst his people. Even if he didn't need to prove it or show it, he would still do this because he knows of the grand scheme or plot behind what is happening with the Yuuzhan Vong.

Even if his memories from his previous life failed him, Anakin would still be able to foresee at least some of this and be able to piece the dots together using the Force.

"Roger, roger!" Droids were hard at work, and before long the portal was completed.

Turning it on, the power usage was significant, but with advancements in technology, the efficiency and effectiveness of the device only became better.

There was a recent breakthrough that even enabled the Empyrean to create makeshift portals like this, allowing them to not only transport people, but to basically have a walking army come out at anytime, anywhere they would like.

'Of course, that would still mean taking the time and having the necessary knowledge to construct this device.' Were the thoughts of the being coming out of the portal and onto the planet of Byss.

"Emperor! It's the God-Emperor! All salute!" A droid commander called as Anakin walked out and showed his rather appealing form to all of the droids. Well, the form that those are made out of machine enjoy him to be, his armored form, cybernetically connected to his very core.

Integrated into his very soul, Anakin was more than man, and more than machine both.

"All hail the Emperor!" The present droid commanders shouted as they were calling out, the other droids also called out.

"Long live the Emperor!"

"Long live the Emperor!"

"All hail the Emperor!"

"The God-Emperor shall liberate us all!"

Anakin stood before them all, even if they are not living for the specific purpose of just resisting the corruption spreading from Coruscant and to act as canon fodder, as they were non-living and expendable.

'Time to confront someone...' Anakin looked towards the great tower that used to be Palpatine's, now it was the same in basically everything except the way it was made. No more were there metallic and technological things from this known universe and instead it was replaced by, no doubt, the designs of the current overlord of the Yuuzhan Vong.

Modified by Yuuzhan Vong shapers, Shimrra grew to an extremely large size. The Supreme Overlord was the largest Yuuzhan Vong that any would ever have the chance to see, where the Supreme Overlord towered over the Elite of the Yuuzhan Vong in meetings.

The hau polyp creatures that made up his throne would occasionally burst due to the strain placed on them from supporting the Supreme Overlord's massive frame.

Shimrra had thin limbs and a large head, and his torso and head were covered in brands and tattoos honoring the gods. He wore gray robes made from the flesh of Steng, a rebellious Yuuzhan Vong Warmaster from millennia ago.

Shimrra had mqaaq'it-implant eyes that constantly shifted colors, although they were most often red.

His eyes glittered when he was angry, and had the effect of causing anyone under his gaze to feel intimidated and as though the victim's mind was being read. Most if not all of the Yuuzhan Vong feared the Supreme Overlord's eyes, finding the frequent color-changes to be unnerving.

"Hello there." Anakin's voice awoke Shimrra, his facial feature twitching at the arrival of the being before him.

"You... Who are you, and what are you doing here...? You abomination!" Shimrra responded within the remade throne room at the top of what was once Sidious' throne.

"I am here to confront you. I am here... to put an end to your life once and for all, allowing me to finally put you behind me and allow myself to return to my home. I am sure you don't mind, right?" Anakin stated, making Shimrra laugh.

"You? A puny human hiding beneath that armor of yours? What makes you truly strong, as strong as I? You who are shorter than myself, less in muscles, less in intelligence." Shimrra was a bit arrogant, but he had his rights to be.

Even without the Force, Shimrra is above and beyond the rest of his kind and absolutely anyone and everyone else. Except, Anakin may be able to confront him with just his physical strength alone as well.

After all, Shimrra and his modifications down to himself is similar in nature to what Anakin did to himself not too long ago as well.

"I understand your language, so that must go a long way, doesn't it?" Anakin replied calmly, knowing the the behind before him is nothing. "I am a god to my people, to the galaxy at this point and within the Force, not that you would care or that matters to you. However... I just wanted to let you know to whom you are to die to."

"I will educate you about the gods. The question is not whether they exist, but if we have any further need of them. Their fall began during our long journey, when they failed to come to our aid."

"As you have undoubtedly learned, one cannot keep loyal servants if one neglects them. So the fault lies with them. Absent our bloody support, absent our solicitations and praises, what would they be left with?"

"The gods may have created us, but it is we who sustain them through worship. Now they are bereft because the roles are reversed. They are angry because they have been forced to recognize that their hour has arrived; that the time has come to surrender power to Shimrra and the new order."

"You too, shall surrender to me, and maybe I will think about sparing you from my wrath." Shimrra finished his long speech.

"You talk no longer." Anakin responded before deciding to respect the warrior that Shimrra was, for he decided to just use his bear strength to combat against the beast.

However, Anakin made sure to also look out for the jester that was the actually person in charge of everything. 'I am looking at you, Onimi.' Anakin glanced at the corner of his eye, the lone and beaten down looking Onimi as he was watching Anakin and Shimrra start to go at it.

"You wish to combat me like a warrior! I admit, I admire your courage for being such a weak willed species." Shimrra may, or may not have had the pleasure of abusing some humans upon capturing and controlling territories for himself to rule over.

Exchanging blow for blow, Anakin was actually physically on par with Shimrra, or was it the other way around? For Anakin was holding himself back.

Holding the Force back from assisting him and absolutely blowing the alien away with all his might, possible being able to put a hole easily within this place.

Laughing the whole way, Shimrra was amused and absolutely satisfied with this.

Shimrra had gone completely insane. Despite his ability to intimidate and manipulate others, many Yuuzhan Vong had lost confidence in Shimrra. His declarations that the gods were the Yuuzhan Vong's true enemy, not the Empyrean, were met with skepticism from the Elite, a group that normally was greatly fearful of him.

Shimrra however had managed to make contact with the planet known as Zonama Sekot, and it was through Shimrra, or Onimi, that they were able to control this planet for themselves.

Whatever was empowering the two, allowed them to do so.

"Die! Die you little ant!" Shimrra was not unfamiliar with the small species that acted in a similar way to his own, or others really. He was the Ruler of his people and would continue to be so, forevermore the last Supreme Overlord.

'I am to be immortal, am I not!?' Shimrra redoubled his efforts, but it was still all for naught, as Anakin has had his fun and immediately brought Shimrra to the ground. "Unhand me!"

"It was fun while it lasted, however, you were always meant to be the last. Your fate is now in my hands. What are you to do now?" Anakin asked the beast.

"No! I will be above the gods! I shall be above you! And above anyone and everyone else! I am observant. I heard the whispers; I sensed the hidden eyes upon me. I knew when I was being betrayed!" Shimrra called out in insanity, his mind too far gone by this point.

"Die now." Anakin pierced Shimrra's chest, extracting his heart and absorbing the life force from his body, slowly decaying and turning him into nothing.

The Jester off to the side watched the show with interest. His mind made up, Onimi got up and escaped, heading to the one place that he would have total control over.

"Wait right there!" Anakin called after him, starting to chase Onimi before he boarded a ship and headed off somewhere else.

'I guess this means I will be commandeering a vehicle then...'
