A cheerful mechanical voice sounded inside her head as she slowly opened her eyes.

Good morni….wait a minute…Good morning??!!?? She lived alone so who the heck in the world just greeted her. She opened her eyes difficulty since she felt she had been sleeping for a long time. She scanned her surrounding with her still blurry eyes for sign of another living being but she couldn't believe her eyes as she opened them.

"Where in the world am I?" She exclaimed in surprise with a little confusion mixed her eyes. She wasn't in her room. The place where she opened her eyes wasn't her neat and extremely dull room but it was extremely pinkish and bright room which was 100% different compared to her own room. She could put up with it but yes there is always but…what in the world were those floating creatures that looked like jellyfish yet they were not because they were shiny and sparkly like the room. She considered herself a pretty smart woman but she looked dumbstruck as she stared at them. She was curious so she moved her finger to touch one of them right before her.

"Ouch…" She pulled back her finger as she felt a sting. Was it like an ant or a bee or some kind of bug because she was startled when she received an electric sensation when she touched it.

[Host has been successful in picking a mission. Congratulations. The data has been loaded. Ready to leave as soon as host commands.]

The same voice sounded in her head as she came back to reality. "Who are you ? or maybe I should ask what are you?"

"Show yourself" Mina ordered whoever or whatever it was.

[ERROR]

[Request has been denied.]

[Contact before a contract is forbidden.]

A message was relayed to her in an instant in her head by the same voice. 'Contract?' 'Mission?' 'Data?' Mina traced her memory back to the night before when she was doing those weird questionnaire. She was trying to remember anything that mentioned these things but she could only find the fragments and couldn't connect them to figure out anything when she remembered the last scenes when she was asked if she was sure about her choices and like an idiot she had answered yes.

After that she lost her consciousness and heard something about binding host…then if she was the host did that mean there was a parasite inside her body. She froze up as imagined a tapeworm wriggling inside her body and felt sick.

[Problems has been noticed in the host] [Accessing the data in the cerebrum to verify the cause.]

The mechanical voice sounded inside her making her sicker as she imagined a tapeworm moving towards her brain.

[Unusual mental and emotional tension has been noticed.]

The sound stopped in middle leaving a awkward silence.

[I m not freaking tapeworm you stupid host.]

The voice which was emotionless just a minute ago now was full of rage and anger. [You called a cutie such as myself a disgusting tapeworm.]

[Fine let's sign the contract then you can see for yourself]

Suddenly a hologram appeared in front of her which looked like the contract. She was relieved knowing there was no tapeworm inside her body but was curious about the system inside her head that was boasting about its cuteness. She didn't feel much when she heard the mechanical voice but she was surprised upon hearing the angry retorts. 'That was kinda cute.'

As a woman who has worked her half-life meeting clients and signing contract she looked over every detail carefully.

After finishing the whole contract she was in a thought for a while before she said, "As a system and host we will go on mission now and then on different dimensions from one galaxy to next and our performance there will affect both of us?"

[Yes]

"On completing the mission we will receive awards and experiences to enter a new mission and difficulty will increase with each progress?"

[Yes but we will also grow with each progress.]

"Okay, so far so good. But we have a teeny tiny problem here." Mina said as she remembered something. "Just so you know I don't have a single type of skill in me."

[About that host, you don't have to worry once you sign this contract your skill, body and all physical mental attributes will be developed immediately. You will receive additional skill according to your answers to the questions.]

Mina was still unsure about this whole thimg as she asked her final questions, "What if I don't wanna sign this and go on these missions?"

[Simple. You DIE]

The cold mechanical voice of the system reached her mind and from its tone she knew it was not a joke. It was absolutely true.

"What about my life in Earth?" "My job and everything?"

[Your existence has been erased from the whole earth. No one will remember a single thing about you.]

"Ohh.." knowing that her existence was completely erased she didn't know if she was supposed to feel sad or relieved or happy. No one was there after all who was close to her or anyone who would miss her. She was a fading presence before and her disappearance won't mean a thing.

Mina made up her mind.

"I m ready to accept the contract. Might as well go in an adventure at this age." Mina laughed as she got ready to sign the contract.

[You are old lady but my boss is even older. He is **** old] The system said the age but all she could hear was beep beep. Maybe it was classified information. But this system had a boss. Was is a system ?? or was it a human ? a god? An alien? A monster???

A laugh echoed throughout the room as he once again found his master in flustered condition as he hurriedly classified the information about himself. "Why do you hide your age?" he asked as he wiped the corner of his eyes. He was always laughing now-a-days. He must thank the chosen one someday if fate willed it.

"Beth, why do you have so much free time that you are always sticking next to me all the time?" His laugh suddenly came to halt upon hearing the cold voice.

Damian turned around and Beth trembled as his figure loomed towards him. He was not afraid rather it was because he had a very strong demonic aura surrounding him that was fierce and paralyzing and it was increased with the presence of his horns. He was a weak existence in comparison to his master.

"I was wrong master. I have many works to do…you enjoy your time." Before running away he glanced at the screen his master was watching frequently now-a-days and winked to his master as he reached the door. "Don't worry I will keep it a secret." Then he disappeared in puff of air.

Damian massaged his temple. "This boy…well let him, have his fun now." He had made them suffer was too much for his sake so the least he could do was let them have their way. Although he was annoyed he smiled briefly. He thought, "But he is correct. Why am I giving attention to this woman? Its abnormal." 'I have finished my part of work now everything was up to her. He could no longer interfere with his chosen one or else it won't be fair.'

He was the master of the Earth. In other words, its guardian and creator.

Even though he said about not interfering he felt uneasy in heart. Although he was called Damian, a conqueror he had always been the one subdued and defeated not because he was weak but he was made the target of conspiracy of other. He felt his heart ache as he thought about the past. Those dark and sad histories were engraved deep in his heart. "I won't make the same mistake this time. I promise I will protect my chosen one at any cost even if I have to go against the entire universe."

In the bright room, surrounded by jelly fishes, I mean mission data Mina no longer hesitated to accept the condition of the system. She was now filled with excitement at the adventures that awaited her after she signed her name in the contract.

Mina used the holographic pen to sign her name there followed by a stamp which she believed belonged to the system. As soon as Mina signed the contract it disappeared completely. She immediately heard the system respond.

[The contract has been successful. The soul of the host and system has been bound together. Preparing to make a contact with the host.]

Mina was a little excited to meet this system after all it now they were bound to each other, they have become responsible for each other throughout the time they would be going on the quest and mission.

Although she felt a little bit disappointed she sighed, "Can't help it then. Take your time."
