"You sure it will work?"

Mina woke up in the middle of night because she could not fall asleep.

"Fuzzy, you awake?" Mina asked unsure if system ever took rest or not.

[Yes, host.] The system replied within her head.

"Come out for a bit. Do you want to go sight-seeing for a bit?" Mina asked a little hopeful. In case she was denied she was ready with another excuse, "It might help us make some plans you know."

[Host, be honest you just can't sleep right?] Before Mina could say anything it continued, [ And you are afraid to go alone because its dark. Am I right or am I right?]

'Busted...' But Mina was not giving up.

"Yes, it just feels weird plus I already took enough rest for this body." Mina knocked her chest. "See, I am already as good as new."

The system transformed into its physical form. Honestly it looked much cuter than before making Mina want to cuddle with it but she restrained herself.

'Being warrior is all about restraining thoughts.' She repeated in her head.

Seeing the host who was in her whole world after calling him out the system rolled its eye.

[Back to the Earth Host.] Fuzzy whacked her head with its small paw.

"Oh right, let's go." She rubbed her head where she was hit and chose one of the paths. Under the moonlit night she walked silently while she had many thoughts inside her head. She completely forgot about Max who was sleeping.

[Host, the skill that you used toady.] The system broke the silence with its questions.

"Hmmm….Ohhh..about that. What about it?" Mina asked.

[Where and when did you learn such a high level attack? It took me some time to calculate the stat.]

"Like I said earlier, it's nothing special as nature bending. I just utilized the nature resources available." Mina laughed lightly as she continued. "You know, when I was still on Earth I watched a movie about supernatural powers. One of them is a cultivator and there was a part about heavenly tribulation where lightning fell from the heaven."

"I actually got idea from that. I used my Mana and fused it with the arrows that attracted the lightning. It was a simple attack."

The system looked at her noting down everything that seemed important.

[Host, your knowledge as an earthling will come in handy in the upcoming quests.]

Mina suddenly gasped as she remembered a very important information.

"Fuzzy, show me the notification from today's fight"

[About the use of unknown ability?]

"No, not that. The one before that. Something about my main mission." Mina explained in hurry. How could she forget something so important?

The familiar window popped in front of her and she widened her eyes in surprise. She was not mistaken. She had really seen the right thing.

"It was not my delusion in midst of battle." Mina looked wearily at the window.

[I was informed that the main mission will arrive when the right conditions are fulfilled. Didn't I tell you?]

"No, you didn't…..you newbie system." Now it was turn of Mina to whack the head of system.

"Tell me more about what this stupid mission means cause it looks more troublesome." While walking they had reached another plain ground. She sat on the ground ready for an explanation.

[Host, there is nothing to explain. It is what it is.] The system nonchalantly replied as it wiped its face with the paw looking totally carefree.

"Master, can I enter?" Beth was outside the door waiting anxiously.

"Enter." Damian who had isolated himself in the room as soon as he arrived finally spoke. In blink of an eye Beth was inside the room only to notice a poor, ragged and injured fox girl. Seeing few drops of blood and trembling beast woman Beth was stupefied.

"Dark room, male and female alone in one room for hours, blood and ragged dress….." Beth looked at his master covering his mouth in shock and surprise. "Master you...." Beth gasped as if trying to show his deep surprise.

"Stop whatever nonsense you are thinking." Damian threw his blood drenched dress at Beth. "Throw this out and…" He pointed at the Daphne. "She is Daphne, take good care of her. First heal her injuries and I don't think I have to mention other things?"

Beth who was still acting surprise finally put his head down. "This blood…Master what have you been doing?" Beth changed his attitude to a serious one.

"Nothing important. You don't have to worry about it." Damian closed off the topic indicating he didn't want Beth to pry further.

"And I will be gone for some time. I need to cultivate my skills." Damian realized he was still too weak and he had no time to sit around and play whole day.

"What about your chosen one?" Beth who was carrying Daphne asked. If he was going to seclude himself other will get plenty of chance to attack her and take advantage of her.

"She is strong and I have seen it for myself. She will be okay. At least until I come back." Damian sounded a little unsure at the end. "There will be far greater and stronger opponents and missions for her. She has to get stronger and that is the only way for it."

He had gone there because he was worried about the development of the mission which was getting abnormal. He had his doubt since in the recent meetings of the Lords and rulers; the Lord of that dimension was acting a little strange.

"Master, her main mission has arrived." Beth informed Damian. When Damian didn't react Beth thought he already knew so he walked out carrying Daphne.

Damian was actually kind of curious about the main mission. It was his second time choosing a 'Chosen One' and the last time was not a good memory. The main mission was something really messed up. He really hopped it was something really decent this time.

Damian as the employer had the direct telepathic connection with the system so he could directly access the data anytime. It was night time when he opened the screen to check up on Mina but she was not sleeping and seemed to be talking about something.

He looked at the mission data in his hand. It was totally unexpected.

"Holy Moly" Damian almost lost his cool.

"What kind of main mission is this?" Damian himself was dumb struck. "Love is possible??? Of course love is possible but what is this?"

He didn't know what to think of this. "Is it hard? Is it easy?"

"Finding soul mate as she completes the mission and if she dies in any of these the main mission directly fails but even if she completes all the sub mission doesn't necessarily means she will find the right one." Damian ruled out every possibility as he sighed. That woman was single even at the age of thirty so he was unsure if she even had interest in finding love.

Damian actually forgot that he himself was a single dog who had not been with woman for more than a century.

"I have no interest in finding this so called love or soul mate." Mina looked serious.

[You serious host?] The system stared at Mina.

"Yes..there is no doubt." Mina confirmed as she looked at the system.

System "...."

Mina "...."

After staring at each other for around a minute the system finally spoke.

[That sucks for you Host. I can do nothing about it.]

Mina, 'I wasn't expecting anything anyway.'

[Host, let's head back. It's almost daybreak and we have someone who has been following us for quite some time.] The system pointed at a bush some meter away.

Mina looked at where the system was pointing to find Max looking at them leisurely.

"Holy god. Since when have you been eavesdropping on us?" Mina asked cautiously.

'Well I didn't hear anything I shouldn't have heard. Let's go back. You had me worried when you suddenly disappeared." Max walked beside her in a protective stance which was a little too close. Maybe because she had been thinking about love and soul mate that action seemed a little romantic to her.

"Let's go back, he he…" Mina increased their distance slightly and walked forward.

"What's wrong with her?" He noticed her action and asked Fuzzy who was about to follow her.

[Well you know, personal problems and..] The system interrupted whatever it was saying midway.

[Wait, you can see me??] The system asked totally shocked its eyes almost popping out. Max was amused by its reaction. "You have been in this form for a quite a long time…it's no big deal. Come on let's follow her." Max patted its head as he walked behind Mina.

Beth looked at the wounds on the delicate body of the fox girl dejected. "I wonder where Master picked her up from?" After cleaning her wounds, applying medicines and bandages he made her lie down on a soft bed. As he was about to go change the water a hand stretched out to catch his clothes. The hands were still trembling.

"Big sister, it hurts…"She sobbed silently. She seemed to be in a lot of pain, both physical and mental.

"I am not you big sister but I promise to take care of you till you meet her, okay?" He patted her head and she finally calmed down. "Poor girl.." Beth sighed lightly at her misfortune. He had heard those Fox tribes were sensitive to physical injuries and pain. She was really brave to have endured all of those brutal attacks.

Back at their base, well it was not base but for time being it was their hideout to make plans, they formed a new strategy. They discussed every possible ways and every possible outcomes and decided to go with the on having highest probability of winning.

"You think it will work??" Mina was still a little unsure.

"If it doesn't then nothing will…It's either now or never." Max assured her.
