"Shit…I missed it." Ray looked disappointed at his failed attempt. He looked at Mina who was still standing even after the heavy blow with blood shot eyes. Even if she was standing her condition was very far from good.

Barrage of notifications appeared and sounded inside her head but she was in no condition to look at them.
When Max has shouted the warning at her, without thinking anything she had moved to the side but was still late by a few centimeters.
A sharp and blinding pain tore through her body when the claw landed on her right shoulder dislocating the bones there. Blood dripped down on the dry ground from her deep wound that ran all the way from her hands to her neck and face.
The right side of her face was dampened by blood with two fine claw lines evident to the naked eyes. Her white bones was visible under the torn flesh that showed no signs of healing anytime soon. Her right hand was slowly losing the sense as if it didn't exist at all. Her whole right part of the body was getting numb.
'At least its not the left side. If my heart was injured then it would have been an instant death. But I wouldn't be feeling this pain if I had died an instant death.' Her thoughts were in chaos.
'Its for the better…it's for the better.'The same thought replayed in her mind over and more while she slowly lost the feel of her hand, her cheeks and her right eyes. Feeling numb was better than feeling that escalating pain.
She normally carried the bow with her right hand. Now it hanged from her right hand uselessly. Both her hand and bow were useless.
[The mental strength of Host is decreasing.] The system cried out frantically no longer in its neutral robotic and programmed voice.
It was afraid. The heart of the Host was beating very slowly almost half time slower than a normal heartbeat.
"This will end you for good." Ray dashed towards her reaching the almost-dead Mina in a blink of an eye.
"Guess I am dying huh??" This thought has already entered her mind.
" Hey Fuzzy….." Mina called out in her head getting the fastest response she ever had. " It has been fun..he he..thank you for everything." Mina felt peace in her heart honestly/ "And I am sorry to your boss for failing this mission….for being an unworthy chosen one." That was the only one regret she had.
She closed her eyes and smiled at Ray who was actually a nice beast man until he went Berserk. That was the most sincere smile she had given anyone.
Even with his speed and power Max could not face against a strong opponent such as the Wolf beast man right before them. Even Rubia herself was trembling slightly in the presence of that strong and powerful aura.
"Boom!!"
The whole arena where they were fighting was covered by swirling dust and air, its pressure dragging things towards its very center. It was a tornado and not just any tornado it was a big one of radius almost fifty meters.
"Hold on Rubia" Max shouted at the fox tribe leader who was looking at the whirlpool of air intently.
"The girl's presence has faded out." She spoke without any fluctuation of emotion. In other words she was dead.
Max felt nothing in his heart but his eyes were getting wet for no reason. He had experienced the feeling of losing a comrade in a battle more than anyone else far many times so he had thought he have been numb to that.
A few peaceful days, a few days of laughter and a few days of bitter sweet memories but she was still a partner he had got in the unknown adventure of his.
He regretted not taking the wolf tribe while making plans. He regretted not being strong enough to protect his people. He felt anguish for not rushing in to save her even if there was 0.0001% chance of success.
While Max was dying in his regrets Rubia spoke again apathetically as she focused intently at the tornado her eyes glowing in a bright red color.. "Her presence, its very weak but its still there."
"Ehhhh??" Max looked at her astonished, half believing and half not. "She is alive?? Even after all of those deadly injuries and attacks?"
"Yes its there but its weak, too weak and its fleeting away." Rubia abruptly stopped what she was saying.
"What is it?? What happened?" Anxious Max looked at her who in return turned to look at him. She herself could not believe what she just felt and saw.
"Her presence has completely disappeared from this world." She pointed to the battlefield without looking at it "The presence of Wolf Tribe leader has also disappeared." She was still pointing at the battlefield which was empty without any sign of a single soul. The only evidence that someone had been there a few seconds ago was the pool of blood which looked attractive in the dry brown ground.
Max searched for the aura of wolf tribe leader hoping he could sense him but without Luck. He and Mina both of their existence has disappeared in a flash.
The beast men belonging to wolf tribe were stupefied not being able to discern what had just happened, All they could see after that great storm which was brought forth by their leader was empty battle field with enticing smell of blood belonging to a rare female.
'A bloody flower blooms on the dry ground attracting swarm of bees.'
"What do you think of this poem?" Lord Kennedy asked his butler while he gracefully drank a red wine from his glass.
"It's wonderful. My Lord" The butler with a glass on bowed down respectfully complimenting his master.
"That wolf boy was such a good pawn….its a sad thing that he decided to kill himself for killing the female he loved." Lord Kennedy sighed and looked closely at Rubia.
"Looks like I found my new pawn." His evil laughed echoed throughout the hall.
"Since I don't sense her presence anymore, I am sure she is dead." Lord Kennedy was satisfied now that with the help of his pawn wiped out the sole being who could threaten him.
But he still felt uneasy and antsy for some reason as if the danger had not only not passed but was going to invite a danger even bigger.
"Whatever, I will see it when it comes." He took a gulp of his wine and said as he wiped his mouth .
'It's dark and scary. This darkness feels different from a normal blackout…It feels as if this darkness has no beginning no end…'
'I feel light weight not that I was fat to begin with but even in this scary stillness and silence I feel peace…. Even this tiredness feels justified.....I feel sleepy and drowsy…..guess I will just sleep then….'
