Danger!!
"Chief, are you sure about this?" The elders from the villages looked worriedly at Rubia and the strange man who were about to head to the Wolf Tribe base. They felt uncomfortable with the new man but even more with the fact that their leader was going to the enemy territory with him.
"This young man here, errrr who is he?" An old fox lady asked as she closely observed the man from top to bottom. "Just think of him as our benefactor, we owe him a lot." Rubia smiled as she introduced the man. The only man with whom she felt comfortable.
"I swear on my life, I will take care of her." Max bowed down before the whole clan as he took off with Rubia. He meant every word he said. If any harm came her way he was ready to even abort the mission for her sake.
Sensing this the system got anxious.
Max knew that but he could not promise his system that he will fulfill the mission.
"I can't guarantee you that I will fulfill the mission at any cost" Max replied to his system. He further added,"But I will try not to let both of you down."
They were moving at a very fast speed especially with Rubia in her fox form. "You are a nine-tailed fox??" He was surprised as he looked at her elegant nine tails. "The chief of the fox tribe has more tails than the other beast man, the higher the number of tails the stringer they will be but there is a catch. They need to train hundred fold more than any normal fox beast man." Rubia explained as they moved forward.
"You know from where I came Nine-tailed foxes are supposed to be beings that can freely transform into a beautiful woman and seduces boys, so is it true?" Max looked at her as he asked her.
""well they are not wrong. Foxes are the master of trickery and pranks after all." Rubia laughed answering the man.
"Wait there is more. They say after seducing these boys the fos will eat their liver and heart. Don't tell me that is also true?"
"Ewww...NO way we will eat their liver. That is disgusting. Is your kind idiots?" Rubia was totally shocked with how monstrous and evil they were portrayed by some another tribe.
"Eating liver…..yukkk,,It's disgusting just thinking about it." Rubia shook her head, disappointed.
"Ok I got it, my kind is full of stupid and idiots."Max laughed seeing her reaction. He felt that was also cute.
His system. "...…"
"You are getting braver day by day huh!" Max spoke to his system inside his head.
The innocent system who thought he was being complimented but felt his tone was kind of little weird. It ignored the negative parts and embraced only the positive parts of his statement.
Max, "...."
'It is useless talking with airheads.' Max gave up on disciplining his system. He had more important things to focus on.
The atmosphere was filled with silence. Not that awkward and suffocating silence. They each had their own priorities and goals, It was only natural to be calm in this type of situation where if you do a small mistake there will be checkmate and the game will be over before you know it.
"It's the smell of wolves.." Rubia stopped on her way as she glanced at the camp which was a few meters away. "There are lots of them.." Rubia sensed there to be hundreds of wolves in the crowd.
" wait there is a strange new smell.." Rubia looked at Max. "That smells like you but only a little more fragrant."
"She is the friend I have told you about who was taking the job of convincing the wolves tribe." Max looked towards the direction of the camp, "I hope she succeed."
Rubia felt a little empty seeing Max talk about some other female. 'I think she is even prettier than me considering how sweet her smell is.'
Rubia suddenly smelled another strong scent. Even Max could feel the pressure od some superior being.
"Idiot, forget about success or not but that female.." Rubia pointed at the direction of camp," she is in danger right now."
"Ray, wake up..Get a grip over yourself you moron." Mina hissed in pain as another wind blade cut her shoulder. "Show me what you got you stinky female.." The wolf who stood before her snickered at her. "I would have already possessed your body and soul if only this stupid inside me hadn't fought back." The wolf who looked and talked like Ray but wasn't the real Ray stared at her with his golden eyes.
"Are you that desperate for a mate…" Mina looked at him in disgust but it only provoked the wild wolf.
"Ha ha ha..now you have done it." His eyes changed to another shade of golden hue which looked even darker and crazier than before.
Mina summoned the lightning in her hand to attack him but he simply dodged her attack as if they were flies just like before.
"Those petty magic tricks won't work on me." He flickered and within a fraction of second, he was right before her. She looked straight onto those dangerous eyes and felt weak as she saw how small and fragile she looked in the reflection.
[Host the enemy in front of you is considerably of higher level than you. Initiate retreat,] The monotonous and robotic voice of the system gave her a warning.

The usual emergency notifications popped out before her but she felt exhausted to even look at them.
[Warning ***** the mental strength of Host is weakening.]
[Preparing a barrier, barrier activated.] The sound seemed to be talking about something but she didn't hear it. She could care less what that was saying. For now she just wanted to sleep...…
'Wait sleep? But I am in a middle pf fight.' Mina fought back the drowsiness and finally light returned back to her eyes.
"Tchh.. and I was almost going to succeed." Ray looked at Mina as if it was a big loss that Mina broke his hypnosis.
[Host you are back!! Boo hoo] The system sounded happy and relieved.
"Thanks Fuzzy, I am back." Mina sincerely thanked Fuzzy for bringing back to her sense.
"Hey how did my charisma point increase?' Mina asked while she prepared to fight once again.
[Some of the beast man had taken a liking to you for your courageous and brave spirit.]
"I will be happy if they won't like me at all." Mina looked over the crowd of beast man who had evacuated the area turning it into a battle ring.
She summoned her bow and arrow and took her stance. She aimed an arrow at Ray who was watching her with his hand folded.
"Don't use hypnosis on me like a coward." Mina shouted at the wolf man. "Its war and I don't think I have to tell you that everything is fair in love and war now do I?" He replied her shamelessly.
Frustrated Mina aimed the arrow with a murderous intent, her eyes ready for kill.
"You think it will hurt me?" He asked yawning, with tears falling from the corner of his eyes. Mina spoke nothing.
She released it aiming straight at his heart but "Got it." Ray laughed as he caught the arrow. "Are we going to play catch my arrow game now?" Ray asked her curiously but he was just bullying her and she knew it.
Ray felt the familiar sensation of the electric current passing from his hand to his body and brain. "The same old trick?" He laughed at her while his body got stunned.
"But it worked again." Mina smirked quickly releasing another arrow at the stunned man. He managed to dodge it but it still scraped his cheek. A fine red line appeared and blood started to drip.
"Forget about taking you, I think Its better if I kill a nuisance like you already." Ray wiped the blood with his thumb.
"Congratulations on your first hit and of course the last one." Ray completely disappeared along with his presence.
"Where will he attack from next?" Mina sharpened her senses and tried to trace his aura but it had completely vanished.
"Rubia hurry it up." Max looked at Rubia who stopped again. "His presence has disappeared "
"Then we need to hurry up faster…I have a bad feeling about this." Max spoke when they were 50 meters away from the camp.
Upon arriving there they looked at the area where there was sign of struggles and fight. Mina stood alone in the huge filed ready to attack while the other wolf tribes were sitting around enjoying the show.
Max had a strong instinct even as an earthling which had enhanced now even more. 'Danger is approaching' His instinct cried out to him.
"Mina behind you." He shouted at the top of his lungs to warn Mina. Mina who sensed no danger whatsoever could not react as a heavy claw slammed down at her.
"Mina!!!!!!!" A cried echoed throughout the area.
