Chapter 1

I woke up to the alarm clock and saw that one of Drake's other wives was there. She sat on one of the rocking chairs staring at me with extreme loathing. She declared that she wasn't very happy to see me. She started to explain the nightmare Drake went through trying to please me. There were death threats. Actual attempt on his life. This was before and after he switched sides. I had better be worth it or she will do whatever possible to make me history. I reminded her that he will never allow it. Since he is my Guardian Vampire. She smirked, "Is that all he is?" I blurted out that I was in love with him and was going to discuss having children with him although I have no idea how we will be able to do it. She stared at me with intense hatred. She abruptly turned to look at something that was behind me and her expression changed. I turned to see that Drake was behind me. He was giving the infamous death stare to his other wife and she politely walked out of the room. The moment she left he happily hugged me and left to fix this mess. I let him set his affairs in order. I heard no screams so I assumed this was done smoothly. Since I am neutral that is extended to him as well.

When I came down for breakfast the women had calmed down and I saw Drake was hurt. His hand was blistered and was slowly healing so I exposed my shoulder and made him drink from me. He didn't want to but I refused to let go till he did. When he healed I kissed his cheek and sat down to eat. I looked up to see that there was someone worse condition than Drake. I looked at my husband and he gave me a look that says this guy was bad news. He moaned, "Help me" I flit into his mind and found out that this is a guy that is trying to expose us to humans. Had it not been for the fact that Drake had switched sides he would be dead. He asked again but I didn't offer him anything. He had red eyes like Drake's used to. He had skin peeling off here and there and he also was coughing up blood between gasps. He stared at me with confusion. I waved my hand and the servants moved him away. I looked at Drake and made it clear that whatever protection I have being neutral party is extended to him so whatever pain he has gone through has paid off. So now he can relax. He smiled and I finally gazed into his hazel eyes and saw that they stopped turning red. His skin has started to soften. It looked less papery and bat like. I stared at him with delight. I was ok being a groupie of this version of Drake till I was told breakfast was ready. I had the blood of a sniper. I spend a few minutes going through his memories and duplicating his moves to perfection. I looked up to see Drake looking amused, "Not bad" he winked at me and left to talk to the house of Phoenix about the goblins trying to extend their territory.

Then I got up and walked out to the office where the newly appointed Goblin prince, the wood nymph queen, and the gnome king were waiting to sign in. They were looking for a neutral ground to discuss matters that would either bring peace or all out war. I took them to the conference room and dictated the rules. When both parties agreed to the terms I asked them to sit down in their respective seats. I got to understand the maturity of some while I understood the intelligence of others.

The goblins wanted more than one bite of the apple so they demanded that wood nymphs comply with all their requests. The first being the eviction of the elves. Allowing certain giant spiders to make themselves at home in select parts of the woods and for the nymphs to vacate their homes from time to time. If they don't comply they will be held captive and forced into servitude.

The nymphs made it clear that the house size spiders belong in the ebony woodlands. They are the guardians of the dungeon. So don't bother trying to break the rules or Angharad will rip him to pieces. As far as the elves are concerned the woods have been their home since the beginning of time itself. So they have the right to call it their home. They remain there till judgment day. Regarding the nymphs hopping in and out of the woods to be the beck and call of the goblins they flat out refused. They said that they had no other place to call home so their request is denied. The goblins asked who the hell this Angharad was. Drake casually replied, "The witch queen" The goblins sank into their seats. It looked like they wanted to disappear. I can only guess that they have incurred her wrath many times.

The gnome king foolishly recited the words that summoned HER of all people. Her hair was pinned to shape them into curls. She had an Avocado green colored face mask pasted on with a slice of cucumber on each eye. One cucumber fell off and she asked what was going on. Who had dared to interrupt her beauty sleep? She asked who owns the place. Since I am the property owner I explained what happened. She stared at me warily as our encounters almost always ended sourly. But when she realized that I was neutral she smiled since this means her problem is solved.

She turned to the Gnome king and asked them why he interrupted her beauty regiment. She was curious what could possibly be so urgent that it could not wait. He blurted out that the goblins were the one of the people who had set the ebony woodlands on fire using cursed fire. The result was devastating. It either killed or injured many to the creatures that live there. It is done by mixing dragons fire breath and dark magic. It is forbidden. The punishment if caught using it means death penalty without a trail. They wanted to take some of her guardian spiders and let them loose in the woods to expose us all to humans. This infuriated her and she demanded to know if they had asked for sanctuary. I blurted out that they didn't which prompted her to flick her fingers. But I managed to stop her. I explained the rules of my house. I offered her the death pool as a means of punishment. She agreed with my idea and so she levitated the goblins to the pool of death. I asked them to apologize since this was a first time offense. But they were adamant that they did no wrong. I gave my consent and Angharad dropped her hand. They were calm and proud as they fell into the pool but the moment the liquid began engulfing and dissolving them to the bone their screams grew louder. In mere moments they were completely a bunch of bones cleaned of flesh. It was eerie as they stayed floating for a moment after which they sank to the bottom to join the other skeletons. Angharad wished me well and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
