Act Like It

As Joan sat in her office working, she tried not to get her mind off all that was going on in her life. Even though she didn't feel like it, she had to come to work. Someone needed to do all the work that was piling up at the office. She couldn't continue to stay back at home crying her eyes out all day and night. And neither could she leave the work for Steve to do them. He had enough on his shoulders already as it is. He has been doing a lot of running around trying to make sure that her father's burial ceremony holds that weekend. Steve was also a God sent to her and her mother. Joan didn't know what she would have been able to do without his help or how she and her mother would have been able to pass through such a difficult time without him and his family constantly being around to support them. Her father truly did know what he was doing when he insisted that they both got married before he died.
