"So lemme get this straight, you intend to make up some crazy excuse to get divorced after a year?"

"Yeah man, what do you think?"

"I think it's stupid honestly but if you think it'll work then go for it"

I shook my head at Jackson's words "Thanks for the advice buddy" I answered sarcastically

"And you're going to talk to her about Kelly?"

"I'm getting to that, I still need to get her to open up so she can be in on the plan but dude she's like a freaking egg! Fragile and shit"

Jackson laughed "Shielded from the world, of course she's fragile you idiot. I bet today was the first time she went to a coffee shop"

I shook my head "She's just so submissive, like everything is a new step for her. If Evie was locked up like that, she'd probably commit suicide" I chuckled

"Oh yeah dude, about Evie"

I frowned "What about Evie?"

"Um well i-"

"Did you sleep with my sister Jackson?! I swear to God I'll ki-"

"Calm down Voldemort I didn't touch her"

I relaxed "So what?"

"Well I was wondering if I could take her out?"

I smirked "Are you asking for permission Jackson?"

"Yeah jackass I am! You made me promise to wait until she's 18 and now she's 18"

"She just turned 18 last two months Jackson, you're 23"

"I don't give a frick about age Scott, I love her and she loves me period"

I stopped "Did you just confess to loving my sister?"

He paused too "I guess I did"

"Wow, I knew you liked her but this is new. You really love her?"

"Who loves who?"

I jumped and turned back to see Evie standing right behind me.

How the heck did she come in without me noticing?

"Dude we'll talk later, I gotta go" I hung up and put my phone in my pocket.

"Who's in love with who Scott?" Evie asked again

"No one, I was only talking to Jackson about something"

Evie frowned "Jackson?"

Jackson probably isn't ready for Evie to know that piece of information yet, I mean they haven't even started dating "Yes Jackson. What are you doing in my room?"

"I wanted to call you down for lunch" the frown was still on her face.

"Will you stop overthinking things? I've had lunch thank you"

Evie nodded and walked out of the room and I grabbed a towel and walked into the bathroom

Ugh! This is like the hundredth text I've sent Jackson and he still won't reply me. I don't get it, I've been in love with him since I was 12 and since then I've been hitting on him but he just won't budge. Everyone knows about Jackson and I, well we're not official yet but still everyone knows he's mine. I grabbed my phone and dialed Kaela's number. She's Jackson twin sister and although she's older than I am, the fact that our brothers are best friends,we are too.

"Sup sister-in-law"

I rolled my eyes "Well I won't be your sister-in-law if your brother doesn't even respond to my texts!"

"Damn mama, what's got you worked up so much?"

" I'm sorry, I'm not in a good mood"

" It's ok, I understand my brother can be an idiot sometimes and I don't understand how that's possible since we're twins and I'm obviously a genius"

I sighed "I don't know what to do Kaela, he's just not responding at all. I thought things would be different once I turned 18"

She chuckled "Y'all relationship is so reversed. I thought the man is supposed to chase the woman"

"I don't care Kaela, I go for what I want and you know that."

"Oh yeah I know, I mean you've been chasing the guy you like for 6 years"

I sighed "I know, I'm pathetic"

" No you're not, Jackson's just being an idiot. He obviously is in love with you"

I scoffed " He's always treated me like a little sister, I've not even seen an ounce of desire in his eyes when he looks at me"

"Trust me girl, I know Jackson is great at hiding his feelings but I just know. It's a twin thing"

"Ok. Thanks Kaela."

"Aiit, you still coming over tomorrow?"

"Yeah sure" I hung up

I waited all these years to be 18 and now this? I'm not a minor anymore so what the heck is holding him back?

My stomach growled and I groaned, My period came yesterday and it's one of the reasons I'm pissed off, the other reason being Jackson.

I was one of the unlucky girls who had to suffer through 4 days of torture and unexplainable mood swings. I also ate like a pig because why not?

I walked into the kitchen and saw the maids grilling meat "What are you guys making?"

I popped a grape into my mouth and leaned against the counter.

"Madam required a fruit salad and some burgers"

I nodded "Sounds good, I'll get my brother"

I jog up the stairs to my brother's room and when I was in front of his door I heard his voice like he was having a conversation with someone. I pressed my ears to his door to listen in but obviously it was useless.

Stupid door.

I stealthily open his door and slip in, the conversation must be pretty serious because Scott didn't notice me.

"Wow I knew you liked her but this is new, you really love her?"

I frowned, Who loves who? Apparently my thoughts must have been out loud because my brother jumped and turned to face me

"Dude we'll talk later, I gotta go" Scott says to the person on the phone which I now know is Jackson.

"Who's in love with who Scott?" I asked again

"No one, I was only talking to Jackson about something"

My frown was still full on, obviously I knew who he was talking to but why? "Jackson?"

"Yes Jackson. What are you doing in my room?"

"I wanted to call you down for lunch" I answer him

He looked at my face "Will you stop overthinking things? I've had lunch thank you"

I nodded and walked out of his room. I knew they weren't talking about something, Scott definitely said 'you' and that means he was directly referring to Jackson. Was Jackson in love with someone?

I shook my head and walked to the dining room, mum was already seated at the table. I sat beside her and grabbed an apple.

Jackson is in love with someone? Could it be me? I mean he's never shown me that type of love but still.

"Penny for your thoughts sweetie?"

I look up from my apple to mum's face. "I'm fine mum, just thinking"

"Well must be something important, is everything alright?"

I sighed "Mum Jackson and I-"

"He finally reacted?!"

I shook my head "No, do you think it's ridiculous? I mean I've been chasing him for years and he's just- I dunno" I shrugged

Mum chuckled "You know the first day Jackson came visiting you were dressed up in your unicorn onesie, and immediately you saw him, you rushed upstairs to go put on your cat Halloween costume from last year thinking it would impress him"

I groaned in embarrassment "Mum I was 12"

She nodded and smiled "Yes, and your dad and I thought it was just a crush and it would probably go away as you got older" She shrugged " I didn't believe it was real until you were 16, you rejected everybody who asked you to the dance and pretended to mope around like no one had asked you just to get him to go with you"

I rolled my eyes "Yeah but he treated me like he chaperoned, he didn't even dance with me. He only kept an eye on me all night and drove me home"

Mum sighed "Point is sweetie, I could see the joy and love in your eyes when he came to pick you up for the dance that night." She patted my hand "He'll come around sweetie"

I shook my head "He might be in love with someone else mum"

"Oh really? That's highly unlikely, where did you get that information from?"

"I overheard Scott talking to him on the phone"

She nodded "Did you get her name?"

I shook my head "Only heard 'her' "

"Well then you don't know for sure sweetheart, everything will fall into place. Just don't overthink it"

I reached forward and hugged her "Thanks mum"

She kissed my temple before I got up and walked to my room with my apple. It's probably high time I confront Jackson, he's been running enough. it's now or never.
