The start of the end

After endless hours of silence, they decided to pack up camp and head to the place they were supposed to go originally. As they all grabbed their stuff and got back in the boat no one spoke, the silence was deafening. Even if someone spoke they didn't get an answer. No one knew if this would be the whole trip.

Camelia sat frustrated while also pulling the sulky face. She tried to whisper to Ophelia but all that came out was mumble. She felt the rage flow but decided to shake it off, once again.

'So, DO YOU want to play a game?' Camelia questioned in a livid manner.

"Ugh, nah" Ophelia sighed, "why me, why did I get chosen for this job? I do not even like the forest, there are a bunch of creepy crawlies, and just why?

"Why are you not up for it?" Corban said while trying to focus on something other than Ophelia.

"Maybe I shou-,"

"STOP!" Camelia screamed.

"Why?" They all said at the same time.

"Because we are her for work, not friendship! Just get the job done and we can go our separate paths asked to switch teams. We can all be 4290, 4209, 2490, 2409 and 1290, and 1230 any single one!" Camelia hid her frustration even though it was crawling out with every word.

"Agreed," Ophelia said looking down at the boat floor, "WE ARE SINKING!!"

Everyone looked down and saw the water flooding into their small boat. Their luggage had expensive products for science and if they got soaked then they would have no way to get back home. Grabbing all the oars, they pushed and pulled in the once gentle water. Each of them working at the same time together for the first time in a while.

"1.... 2…. 3…... 1…... 2… 3….!!" Camelia shouted. She was like a leader on every number they pulled or pushed keeping them in check. Their loud cries for help were not heard as no land was nearby. Each movement they did made the boat fill quicker. This was it. They had failed.

"WAIT!!" Xander shouted, stopping his oar, "PEOPLE!"

Everyone's heads turned to the people who happened to be hunting. Holding guns in their hands.

"We cannot ask for help from them. They are killing my home! They are hunters!" Soraia said, turning her head back to her oar, "Let's go!"

The boat fell awfully silent. Until you could hear the brain power of Camelia's mind. She had a plan. She rummaged in her handbag and pulled out some snorkel gear and said," One of us has to take the plunge!"

She reached around in her bag and pulled out a thick rope along with a towel, "Take this towel I will need it."

Before setting off they had played in the rivers, since Camelia had a "problem" and she had fallen out with her friends, she did not take her swimming suit off, just put her clothing over it.

After taking her jumpsuit and jacket off she was in her swim gear.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Zeal asked concernedly, "There are crocodiles you know!"

"I'm ready!" Camelia quoted. She took a deep breath and waved goodbye to her friends and climbed to the very thin ledge of the boat.

"1...…. 2... 3...…" she mumbled. SPLASH!!! She dived into the water.

Quickly, Camelia began to panic. Trying to remember which type of technique would be best, she rushed into the front crawl. Smacking the water extremely fast, she lost her breath and became weak and tired. Gasping for air she held the tiny hook and the front of the rope. Camelia gripped the rope in her hand. SPLASH!! She could not stay afloat. Camelia was not a strong swimmer. Everyone up on the boat hung over the edge. Reaching out their hands but she pushed them away. She pulled the rope over her shoulder and tied 1 knot. Starting to panic, she heaved the rope through the hook and tied it to her bag which was full of floats. She let go and her binder slipped out of the whole in the boat. Before thinking, she dived deep for it. Soraia's concerns went through the clouds as she knew what lurked in the river. The boat was becoming fuller and fuller and was sinking quicker and quicker. After minutes she never came up. The boat became flooded with tears. Suddenly, a hand pulled on the bag docking it onto the shore. It was Camelia. She was alive!

But at second glance...
