"Briana baby wake up," Alex cooed as she stroked her daughter Briana's hair. "Come on babe we have to get dressed," Alex cooed once more, this time receiving an slow eye opening from Briana. "There are those beautiful brown eyes I've been waiting to see," Alex smiled as she gave Briana a kiss on the forehead.

"Do I have to go to school mom? I don't want to," Briana sighed, rubbing the sleep from her eyes and sitting up. "Yes hun, and you wanna know why?" Alex asked, getting up and plopping down on the bed. "Why?" Briana whined, her eyes closed and her bottom lip poked out into a pout. "Because, you are going to need an education to support your spending habits babe. Between all the arts and crafts stuff and multimillion dollar ideas you constantly come up with. You're going to have to have the funds to support it," Alex said playfully poking Briana a little with her finger.

"And let's not forget your shoe habit, you have a serious problem. I wonder where you get that from," Alex said smiling, knowing that Briana got her shoe habit from her. "I got it from youu," Briana smiled, making her and her mother laugh. "I'll get dressed now," Briana sighed, playfully rolled her eyes. Getting up out of the bed Briana made her way to the bathroom to take a shower while Alex picked out her outfit.

Alex choose a pretty yellow shirt and Briana's favorite jean skirt with the suspenders attached. She also choose a pair of brown cowgirl boots that Briana picked out herself last week when they went to the beach. Alex thought that it wouldn't match the first time they bought it but when Briana put it on it looked really cute on her. Alex laid out the outfit on Briana's bed after she had made it up and got her things together.

After packing Briana's lunch and making breakfast. Alex walked back upstairs to check on Briana. "Briana, you ready babe?" Alex called into the room. Briana was standing in the middle of the floor fully dressed and her beautiful 4c hair pulled up into two big puffballs.  "Yes ma'am," Briana sang sweetly. "Cut your light off hun, I have sausage and eggs downstairs and if your still hungry after that I could cut you some fruit," Alex said as they walked downstairs together. "Aweee no pancakes this time?" Briana whined.

"No because you have no idea where your mouth is located," Alex smiled. Briana poked her lip out in a pour but she knew what her mom was talking about. Sunday morning Briana begged her mom for French toasts and Alex broke down and made it for her. Within 5 minutes of eating Briana had syrup everywhere. On her shirt, pants, the counter, and the floor.

"Hurry, hurry, you only have 5 minutes before the bus shows up," Alex said patting Briana on the back to signal her to move faster. Briana rushed and ate her food and finished just as the bus honked its horn outside. "Bye mom, I love you," Briana exclaimed, kissing her mom on the forehead, grabbing her book bag and lunch off the coffee table, and running out to meet the bus. "I love you too baby. Have a great dayyy!" Alex shouted from the front door.

As much as she hated to see her baby girl go, she loved the time alone to take her morning jogs. It gives her a good head start for the tiering day she knows she's going to have at the hospital. Especially for today, everyone at the hospital is expecting a new doctor. They haven't said who the person is yet but they do know that their some type of Surgeon. For some reason Alex and Surgeons don't get along so well so she wasn't looking forward to it.

Alex cleaned up the kitchen and ran upstairs to take her shower. After her shower, she put on her running clothes and folded up her work clothes neatly and placed them in a tote bag that she would take to work right after her run. Alex grabbed a banana and a tall bottoms of water out of the kitchen and left the house for her run. Every morning at around 6, Alex runs for 2 hours. She likes to keep fit and running is a stress reliever for her as well.

As Alex was finishing up her run, her favorite song, Pick up Your Feelings by Jasmine Sullivan plays in her AirPods and she looses herself in the run. Trapped in her thought she dodges nearby older couples that are walking and other runners. Running around a old man who had kneeled to tie his shoe, Alex wasn't paying attention and bumped into the back someone so hard that it knocked her off her feet.

"I'm so sorry," Alex apologized while scrambling to find her AirPod. "Oh no problem I do that about twice a day to someone," the person she knocked into joked. "No, I should've been looking where I was going," Alex said looked up at the gorgeous man she had just ran into. He had beautiful brown eyes that you could get lost in, his cocoa chocolate skin paired with the sun made her knees weak, and his body could make a nun look twice.

"It's fine, I promise," the beautiful man smiled, showing off his beautiful pearly white smile with his dimples that paired so perfectly with it. "My names Josh," he said holding out his hand to shake. "Alex," Alex said tucking a piece of her long curly hair behind her ear. "Nice to meet you Alex," Josh smiled. Every time he smiled it made Alex's legs visibly weak, she had never embarrassed herself like this before in front of an attractive man. "Are you okay?" Josh asked seeing that she was drooling down every five seconds. "Yes, I'm fine," Alex playfully laughed, trying to play off her tripping over her foot as she made her way over to a near by bench.

"I feel bad for knocking you off your feet. Would you let me buy you a coffee?" Josh asked, sitting down next of Alex on the bench. "I ran into you, so if anyone should but anyone anything it probably should be me," Alex smiled nervously. "We both played a huge part in that. But I was the only one still standing and I insist. Let me grab you a coffee, I was just heading to work anyway," Josh smiled getting up excitedly and grabbing Alex's hand. "Oookay," Alex giggled as she let Josh drag her off to a nearby coffee shop.
