The Sycophantic Gigolo

The madam was smiling so widely just thinking about it, her eyes could hardly be seen.

Su Ye sniffed at the pungent rouge besieging her nose, and looked past the madam into Winter Jasmine as she said, "I'm just here to sit around today—"

Su Ye had hardly finished speaking when the madam dragged her into the brothel by the sleeve, smiling charmingly. "I get it, I get it… You and Cheng Huan are made for each other, so naturally I have to withhold my own sentiments if you are going to buy him."

The madam had already dragged Su Ye through the doors of Winter Jasmine, and she called out to one of the servants, "Go tell Cheng Huan to come here and keep our junior governor company."

Many of the other ladies in Winter Jasmine seemed envious once Su Ye entered, some even tearing their little handkerchiefs to pieces. Their voices, filled with jealousy, could be heard even from outside the door.

"The junior governor came to visit Cheng Huan again?"

"He really is something, keeping her so hooked so that she spends so much on him every day…"

Some of the other ladies were quite bitter.

"What a shame that our junior governor isn't a man… with my technique, I would have been able to charm her to death!" The lady puffed her chest and placed her hands on her ample hips proudly.

Meanwhile, Xiao Xing was tagging along behind Su Ye loyally. Xiao Xing listened as they complained, keeping her head low, completely speechless. This was the first time she had come here with the junior governor—at other times, the junior governor would usually be accompanied by an armed escort. Xiao Xing only now realized that the ladies here were extremely fierce, and not even the junior governor was shown mercy.

Meanwhile, the madam kept pulling Su Ye along to the very heart of Winter Jasmine. She had just made the arrangements for Su Ye when her sharp eyes noticed more rich and powerful people arriving, and she promptly ran off to greet them. As such, Su Ye was left standing there, taking in all that was happening in the brothel.

A red canopy dangled up in the air, with many men and women having fun in the pool below. There was a winding staircase in the center, and a couple was already going at it buck naked on the middle of the steps. The coquettish laughter of ladies occasionally rang out, and men chased after them completely naked from the waist down, their eyes gleaming.

Su Ye took a seat. Her interest was certainly piqued after looking around. Winter Jasmine was the most popular brothel in Mystic Moon City, as described in her novel, but she hadn't written about it much, and had only mentioned it once as the place where Su Ye and Su Ruoruo had fought. Sipping a cup of hot tea, she looked around intently for familiar scenes she had written in her novel.

Hmmm…

Scenes of the ladies having fun—check.

Pools of liquor and flower petals—check.

The sheer luxury and indulgence… truly, as expected of her own work! It was such a marvelous sight. As she looked on, she suddenly smelled the scent of rouge thicker than the madam's.

Right after, a pretentious voice cooed, "Milady, why are you so late?"

Su Ye shuddered in disgust at the voice. She looked up to find a scrawny man with thick rouge powder applied to his face, pouting and trying to act cute. Su Ye stared at him for a few seconds, trying to keep herself from vomiting in disgust. It took her some time, but she finally managed to say, "Cheng Huan?"

It made sense that he had not put on rouge the last time she saw him, but she almost could not recognize him now that he had put on make-up. He sashayed to her side, tugging at her sleeve while tapping her shoulder with a fist. "Hmph, I thought you forgot your way here!"

Su Ye was left dumbfounded by that love tap for quite a while.

Talk about loving your job…

When they were at the governor's manor last time, Su Ye hadn't been able to control her strength and had sent Cheng Huan flying with a kick, knocking him unconscious. Now, they were meeting again, and he was flirting with her as if nothing had happened.

It was unbelievable!
