Will You Come With Me To The Library?

Yanmei and Lijun entered the office and everyone was shocked to see them together. Yanmei felt embarrassed but Lijun ignored everyone and went to his office. Yanmei followed him.

"You'll work inhere, your room isn't ready yet" he ordered.

She nodded.

Lijun sat on the chair and Yanmei sat on the couch. Someone knocked at the dorr Lijun didn't look but ordered "Come in".

Secretary J opened the door and placed some file on the desk and said "Boss wants the project files".

Lijun looked at the files and said "Nixxi is out of town for some time. You'll help Yanmei in that project till your new boss come".

Secretary Ji nodded. She knew better to question her previous boss. She looked at Yanmei and smile a little. Then she bowed to President and Yanmei and left the room.

Lijun didn't say anything. He read one of the file. Yanmei took another file from the desk and read.

After sometime Lijun asked "It's lunch time. I hope you like Chinese food". She went to Chinese restaurant with his sister. So, he thought she also like Chinese food. When he looked at her, she nodded.

He call secretary Ji and ordered "bring foods in my room". Then he cut the phone. He looked at Yanmei "My sister said you like books". She looked at him confusingly. Looking at her puzzle face he continued "She wanted to gift you a book. That's why she read all book bloggers recommendation. Btw what type of books you like?". A smile appeared on his face and he remembered Nixxi was so confused and thought which book she'll gift her new best friend and she came to him for suggestion. He was not a reader but he knew someone who love to read. Yanmei reminded him so much.

"I love all fictional books. Especially paranormal books but sometime I also love romantic books" Yanmei's voice brought him back in from his thought. She looked at him and hesitate "But Nixxi doesn't have to give me any gift. She already help me a lot, I can't take anything from her".

He rolled his eyes "No one can stop my sister. What she wants she get it" he looked at her and smirked " She is just like me. We both get what we desired".

Yanmei had a feeling that he doesn't talk about the gift anymore and red color appeared on her both cheek and she looked away.

Looking at her embarrassing face he chuckle and she narrowed her eyes. But before she can say anything to him some one knocked at the door, Lijun still looked at her and ordered "come in".

Secretary Ji entered in the room with a tray full of too much food. Lu Lijun quietly sat around the lunch table as Yanmei accompanied him.

Lu lijun first served the salad to her.

Yanmei frowned inside and let him do it. She looked at all the vegetables in the dish and felt like her appetite just died.

Seeing her expressions, Lu Lijun spoke, "I know you are not a cow to eat only veggies. We have meat and other things too."

Lu Lijun served her all the tasty food that she liked. She felt relieved and was ready to eat.

"Such a kid" he murmured.

She heard it and narrowed her eyes "Did you just call me a kid?"

He smirked "You look like a adult woman but you behave like a kid. I should call kid along side with Kitten and Little human".

She gritted her teeth, she hated his nick names "Then I should call you Kid too. After all you behave like a Kid too".

He smirked "We both know you don't see me as a kid"

She was annoyed from his sarcastic reply and snapped "I don't think about you at all".

He smiled and murmured "such a lier".

She snapped "I am not a lier".

He smirked "uh ha".

She narrowed her eyes "What?"

He smiled a genuine smile "Nothing, why? Did you heard something?"

She didn't want to argue with him that's why she shook her head and they eat silently.

After some time he asked thoughtfully "You said you like to read right?"

"I don't know how does it concern you but yes".

He ignored her sarcastic reply and said "There is a huge library. You can find every type of books in there. You can borrow book from there".

She blinked and thought 'Did he just tell me about the library? Nixxi always help me because we are friends but he hate me then why he tell me about this library?'

He looked at her questioningly "What do you thinking?"

"Nothing" she answered immediately.

He ignored her reply and said sarcastically "I never think that you would be a bookworm".

She narrowed her eyes "Then what did you think about me?"

He looked at her and amusement fill in his voice "I thought you like fashion magazine or you like social media".

She rolled her eyes "Why guys think that all girls like fashion magazine or they like social media?"

"I don't know, maybe because lots of the girls like fashion and social media. My sister is one of them so....." he shrugged.

She sighed "Then I am a minority. I don't like fashion very much and I am not a fan of social media either".

He nodded "I can tell that" he looked at her and said "Will you come with me to the library?"

She blinked "I didn't know that you are bookworm too".

He rolled his eyes "I am not".

She looked at him confusingly "Then why you want to go?"

"Because you like books and my little sister wanted to gift you a book but as you can see she is not here and she told me to take you to the library so that her absence doesn't bother you very much" he looked at her and continue "I will go with you because of my sister".

She didn't like when he was spend time with her only to please his sister "You don't have to go".

He narrowed his eyes "You would not tell me what to do. I'll do what I want".

She looked away from him and murmured "But you don't want to".

He ignored it and said "Beside you don't know anyone in here and Nixxi isn't here. So you are my responsibility".

She snapped "I am no one's responsibility".

He stared at her and thought 'This girl is so stubborn'. No one beside his family ever said no to him. Especially women. He knew how he looked. No one can resist his charm or he thought.

"You don't know anyone in here" he reasoned.

"I.." before she said something he cut her sentence "Nixxi isn't here so you can't count her".

" Actually I am talking about Yang Ji"

He knew that secretary Ji was her friend too. He knew all employees didn't like him but love his sister because of her kindness.

"Secretary Ji was busy because Nixxi isn't here. So you can't count her either".

"Then.." before she can say anything he cut her sentence and said with serious tone "You can't go there at night" looking at her puzzle face he continued "This area is different from the rest of the city. In here lots of accident happen. Lots of people died or hurt here. I can't let that happen to you".

This is vampire's territory. Lots of vampires hunt at night. He ordered that no one hurt humans. It's their no.1 rule but vampires can't control themselves when they are hungry. And Lijun prefer save than sorry. He can't imagine if anyone hurt her. He gritted his teeth, rage ran in his vain.

"Okay" she said hesitantly. They both stared at each other for some moment. Then He cleared his throat and she blinked several time.

"Okay then we'll go there after work. Now let's go back to work" he said without looking at her and she nodded.
