101. Arrange the flight ASAP

''What are you doing?'' Lucas asked Li Zhilan as soon as she picked up the group video call.

''Planning to go on a date. Want to suggest an idea?'' Li Zhilan's voice was smug with a hint of showing off.

''Eww... Get lost.'' The four of them said through the screen with their face scrunched in a show of disgust.

''Haha... Talk about how you all are doing.''

''I'm planning to come back next week, that is, if everyone is coming back.'' Austin was the first to speak up.

''Yup me too. It's been a really long time since we last got together.''

''Yeah me too.''

''So, is next week it?''

''Zhizhi?'' when the group of monkeys didn't hear any response from their usually talkative member, they couldn't help but shout into their phone only to be hung up on giving birth to worries in their heart.

On the other side of the screen, the person who made the group of monkeys worry was struck dumb in her tracks. Infront of her stood the person she had loved throughout her life hugging a girl and patting her head while smiling softly.

She looked a few years younger. With brownish hair and fair skin, the perfect body shape and the perfect height when placed beside Qi Longwei, that girl from every angle, looked like a perfect match for Qi Longwei.

Her sweet innocent smile and those sparkling eyes, anyone would have wanted to protect and love her. And Qi Longwei didn't seem any different.

Love and adoration could clearly be seen in his eyes and the way he patted her head. Even the smile he showed her was much, much better compared to what he normally showed to others. It was like, the only person he could see right now was the girl infront.

Li Zhilan didn't want to beleive that such a thing was happening. She wanted everything to be a lie, a misunderstanding, a prank, anything but what she thought.

As she got closer and closer, to the point where their voices could be heard, she could no longer maintain the lies she kept telling herself in that few minutes.

Without a word, she turned her back towards them and walked away as quickly as possible.

Tears fell like the falling rain on a monsoon night. She felt it difficult to breathe much less run. But even with the shortage of breath and the blurriness of her eyes, she made her way out.

She swiped her phone, and sent out a single sentence message.

'Arrange the flight ASAP'
