CHAPTER 4: INFORMATION

KIM'S POV

It's been five days since we started to investigate Jazlyn. We found everything that she is hiding except one we tried to hack it but we can't succeed. While we trying to hack it a message appeared in the screen.

'Keep trying to hack our security system but you won't be able to obtain more information about her. We already gave you some of her data but not this one so you better give up now'

We could have done nothing but to stop. We got enough information about her but that one file makes me want to know what inside of it. It was Saturday and we called Allaine to say we had information on Jazlyn.

"Kim, I think I understand now how Jazlyn feels," Dominick said next to me. It turns out that he and Jazlyn had the same experience, the only difference was that Jazlyn's parents were both killed while he lost his Mom.

"I know. You're just the same. But her experience is worse than yours. Both of her parents died. It's good for you that your father is still alive but she lost both of them," I said.

"Tsk. Just call Allaine,"

"Alright," he answered in a few seconds.

"Hello?," - Allaine

"Hello, boss, we've got information about Jazlyn. We'll be waiting for you at XXX Cafe," - Me

"All right, I'm going there," - Allaine

"Boss, shall I tell Astin too?," - Me

"Yes even though he was still angry with us. We all know that his emotions always got to him," - Allaine

"Copy that, boss," I said before turning off the call.

"Boss is really cared about us," I told Dominick.

"And why don't you think so? Aren't he always concerned about us," Dominick asked.

"Because even though Astin was angry with him, he still wanted to let him know what we knew," I explained.

"He won't hate us for something like that. That's why we respected him. He never let anyone of us feel unwanted, he just keep trusting us. Alright this conversation is over, let me call him," Dominick said.

A few minutes passed Allaine and Justine arrived. When they both entered, they are not talking to each other. None of us speaking so Allaine broke it.

"What did you find out about her?," Allaine asked. Justine suddenly looked at him.

"What? You investigated her. Allaine, why did you do that ?" Justine said.

"Astin, you said you felt the urge to protect her, don't you? Not only you but all of us do. So to find out who she really is I asked them to run a background check on her," Allaine said so he just keep quiet.

"Upon investigation her parents died ten years ago. The killer is the leader of the Nexus Ghoul. In the past, she is a sweet and happy person that cherish every one. Until that incident happened. She tells herself that she will take revenge on them that's why she joined the Midnight Seraphs," I made clear.

"So you mean that she is the same as Dominick?" Justine asked. This guy is really interested in her, huh? If Boss only liked Jazlyn maybe these two would fight. But the boss is only interested in one person and that person is still missing.

"Yeah, she is the same as me. But we are different in things. She changed for revenge and her parents both died while me I only lost my mother but I didn't change a bit," Dominick said sadly.

"It looks like the womanizer Nico is gone huh," Justine joked.

"Yes, Nico, something has changed in you. You used to dislike women, you even shunned them, and now you have deceived too many women," Allaine added. It looks like Dominick is their target now.

"Hey, stop it now. We are here to talk about what happened to Jazlyn and not me being a womanizer," I stopped them.

"So what happened ?," Allaine asked.

"There are witnesses when the crime happened. They saw what really happened that day but they are not killed because the killer knows that those witnesses are traumatized and they can't give any information so he let them alive. The killer only wants Jazlyn and her family to disappear but he did not succeed. They just manage to kill her parents but she survived, "Dominick explained.

"So who are the witnesses ?" Justine asked.

"We don't know it was not mentioned. All I know is one of them was her most trusted best friend. Second is her sworn brother a tech geek even though she already has siblings. Third, she had a computer-addicted friend. Last is a person with a knowledge of medicine, " Dominick continued. Wait! He memorized it all right away. As expected of Cipher, the member with photographic memory.

"Wait, did you just say that she has siblings? Who are they ?," Allaine asked.

"That's what we don't know," I said.

"There is a piece of confidential information about her. We tried to hack it but someone is guarding that data. So we did not continue," I added.

"What do you think is in that file?" Dominick asked.

"I think it is an important information about her or something that connected to the Midnight Seraphs," Justine replied.

"Allaine should we continue the investigation?" I asked.

"Not anymore. Astin was right. It might be connected to the Seraphs. We can't go against them anymore. This information is enough," Allaine said and then turned to Justine. "Now you know what happened to her,"

"Thanks," That's all Justine said and Allaine left. This man is really great, he just leaves us when he got what he wanted.

Dominick and I also went home with him, he was also very quiet. "Nico look the skirt of that lady blown up? !!!," I said. Guess what his reaction is? He suddenly looks everywhere to find where it is. I suddenly burst into laughter at him. The truth is I make fun of him.

"MICHAEL DELA CRUZ YOU'RE COMPLETELY DEAD !!! IF I CATCH YOU !!!," he shouted when I ran away from him.

"Catch me if you can hahahha !!!," I said. After a while, we got tired of running. We stopped at a park. "Nico, what do you think is in that file?"

"That's also what I'm thinking. Even his siblings were sealed. Who do you think she really I?" he said.

"Why don't we investigate it secretly ?"

"Are you crazy? We can't investigate without Allaine's permission,"

"That's why it's secret. Because I believe that hacker can't protect the info all day,"

"What if the hacker changes shifts?"

"Then that's better if they change the hacker I probably can beat them,"

"It's up to you but don't get me involve on this," he said and left me. I don't care if don't help me because I will make a further investigation into this. Some of my questions are still unanswered. I better dug deeper to this.
