Immediately after exiting the portal, the white-haired man found himself next to a bonfire surrounded by beautiful women. Now, normally, any man would find this a great situation to be in, and it would be if they weren't drawing their bows at him.
"Who are thee?!" The tanned girl in front of aggressively asked.
'Is she their leader…? No, she doesn't feel like it from her and her companions body language. Then who? Ah! Maybe it is the goddess next to her? A moon divinity huh?' He thought to himself as he turned his head around and stopped facing a 12 year old looking girl.
The girl had shoulder length black hair and smooth white skin. She held her bow to her side, unlike the others. Her silver eyes can make anyone who stares at them feel as if she can pierce through and view their souls.
"Are thy deaf? Answer mine question!" The tanned girl growled as she realized tall snow-headed man ignored her.
"Ah! Sorry about that. I get lost in thought often you see. But don't you think you are being quite rude? You should introduce yourself before asking other in turn." He replied calmly. His voice was like a soft river for their ears. It flowed so smoothly that it made them feel at ease unconsciously before they regained their vigilance.
"Thy dare infiltrate our camp and speak of manners?!" The tanned girl retorted as she let loose her arrow.
The arrow flew in a straight line faster than any normal person can see, but to an Immortal? It might as well have stayed still. He raised has hand and caught the silver arrow in a single swift motion. All the hunters who saw this were dumbfounded. Not many can catch their vice-leader's arrow with their bare hands unless they are gods or ancient monsters, and even they would have at least received a small burn from an arrow infused with the power of the moon. This man didn't seem fazed at all and just threw the arrow back gently towards the hunter before turning his head towards the goddess.
"Since it is my fault for intruding, I won't blame your team for this attack, but if something like this were to happen in the future, I will punish them." He said calmly. He was lying of course. It would be too much work to punish someone for something that is barely an inconvenience to him and the girl herself wasn't evil just to uptight.
"…" All the hunters held their breaths. Most of them were a few decades old, so they immediately deducted that by how easily he caught the arrow that he should be a god like their leader.
The goddess herself squinted her eyes. She didn't take kindly to threats directed at her hunters, especially not by a man. Just as she was about to retort, a laugh was heard. The hunters and the goddess looked around confused at who would laugh in such a tense situation before looking back at the man.
"Pfft! Sorry! Just kidding, but man you should have seen your faces! Hahaha!" He held his stomach as he laughed as his shoulders trembled with laughter. The hunters faces were so tense it looked like they were constipated. He couldn't help but laugh.
The hunters were dumbfounded. The calm and collected god that they saw a few moments ago was nowhere to be seen as he struggled to catch his breath. A few moments later, he collected himself before he coughed and straightened his back.
"Ahem. Sorry again for this little prank. Anyway, my name is Alexander. And what might the little goddess's name be?" Alexander asked.
The goddess herself was still confused so she didn't react to him calling her a little goddess right away and answered him.
"My name is Artemis… who do you think you are calling little?!" She started before retorting. The rest of the hunters were just staring at the man who called their goddess little as if he was a strange creature they couldn't understand.
"Yes yes, anyway could you tell you hunters to lower their bows? I don't have a hobby of having beautiful girls try to shoot me before our first date." He replied easily, as if the outburst of a goddess didn't happen.
"Thy dare…?!"
"Drop your bows."
The tanned girl was getting agitated again before Artemis interrupted. The tanned girl didn't take kindly to the nonchalance this… Alexander was exhibiting towards her goddess and neither were the other hunters, but they all lowered their bows.
"What are you doing here, Alexander?" Although the goddess told them to drop their bows, Artemis herself was ready for a fight anytime. Alexander had appeared out of a portal that even she couldn't sense forming. That meant he was able to get passed her defenses and he looked as if he didn't even try.
"I'm just a traveler, don't mind me. How about having a seat so we can hold a proper conversation? I brought wine~." Alexander offered cheerfully before taking out a box filled with bottles of wine.
The hunters weren't surprised by the appearance of the box, but by what Alexander had said.
'He wants to drink wine… with a virgin goddess… that is known to hate men… in her camp filled with her hunters?' They all thought confusedly.
"…Why are you all looking at me like that?" He asked confused after no one said anything for a full minute.
"…Zoe, lead him to my tent." Artemis said before walking away and entering the big tent at the center of the camp.
Zoe herself was frozen in place. Her goddess, who hates men way more than her, asked her to bring a suspicious man into her tent.
"Great! Hey little miss, here take this wine as my apology for coming to your camp unannounced. Although it is wine, it is not that alcoholic, so you should be fine. Well then, miss Zoe, shall we go? Wouldn't want to keep lady Artemis waiting!" Alexander said, excited. It's not everyday you see a deity of the moon. The ones he had met liked to keep to themselves and not interact with others gods or Immortals.
He grabbed a bottle and walked towards Zoe, who came back to reality from his voice. She didn't look happy at all, but she had to listen to her goddess's orders. She led him to the big tent and entered before him to stand by her goddess's side.
Artemis herself deduced that this man wasn't here to cause trouble and she would rather not have a fight when she couldn't even tell his level of strength. A huntress does not hunt what she does not know.
As Zoe stood beside Artemis as she sat on her small throne with a deer on her legs, Alexander walked into the tent and lightly tapped his foot on the floor. His shadow extended forward before anyone could react. From the depth of his shadow a table and throne of his own rose. the table was a rectangular top with a single leg in the center. It looked as if it was made of black wood and was decorated with white dragons. His chair was made from the same material, but it had red cushions built into it.
Zoe and Artemis tensed a bit after his shadow first extended, eased up a bit when the table appeared.
Alexander sat on his chair and pulled out three glasses out of thin air. The bottle of wine he was holding floated on its own, uncorked itself and filled the three cups. Two cups floated towards the goddess and her attendant and the last one was plucked out of the air by Alexander.
"Well then, ask me about anything you would like to know." Alexander said with a smirk.
