A Week of Sleep

One week after Alexander helped Tryeni form her life force whirlpool, he can still be found sleeping under the shade of Tryeni' s branches. It was noon when his finger twitched, the first movement he made since he laid there.

"Are you awake?" A gentle voice asked softly.

When Alexander looked upwards towards the source of the voice, he found Tryeni looking down on him with a gentle smile.

"…I could've sworn I put my head down on one of the roots sticking out of the ground, but this works too." Alexander said as he realized his head was on Tryeni' s lap.

Tryeni just giggled a bit before he raised his head off her lap and stretched his arms out.

"How long have I been asleep?"

"A week."

"Huh… I usually sleep more than that. Oh well."

"…Why?"

"Why do I sleep a lot?"

"Why did you teach me…this?" Tryeni clarified as she held her hand to her chest, right where her heart and her whirlpool were located.

"No reason. If I have knowledge that could make the people I like live better, then why not give it to them? It's not like I need you girls to do anything for me. And it's not like this is valuable information to me." Alexander answered with a shrug.

"You are very strange. I've been at this camp for 4oo years and I've never met someone, god or demigod, quite like you before."

"…The older you get, the more willful you become. That is true for most intelligent life." He replied after a moment of silence.

"Anyway, make sure to strengthen your whirlpool as often as you can. Don't push your limit too much unless you wanna blow up everything within a few kilometer radius. I don't want to come back to a forest instead of camp. Keep doing that until the whirlpool condenses into a pear|-like structure. Before the life core condenses, try not to go too for from your tree." Alexander said as he began walking away while having his hand.

He wasn't worried about the other dryads because he was confident that Tryeni will be able to watch over them and guide them correctly…because he may or may not have implanted some knowledge into her when she wasn't focused.

Tryeni just stared at his departing figure as she hoped they would meet again soon. She turned towards her tree and placed her hands an it as she sat cross legged. She figured condensing her life core will hasten their reunion, so she decided to start as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, as Alexander walked out of the forest, he spotted Percy and the satyr he was trying to drag up the hill walking around the Big House towards Chiron and an old pudgy man- a god now that he takes a closer look. He figured he might as well join them because…he wanted to.

"Hey Percy! When did you wake up?" Alexander asked in a relaxed tone as he approached the due.

"Alexander?! What are you doing here?!" Percy asked in surprised about seeing the tag-along in a camp full of self-proclaimed demi-gods.

Grover, who Alexander found out about from Chiron, just watched from the side, confused as to how this white-haired man he's never seen before knew Percy and got into camp. As far as he could tell, Alexander was a normal human.

"Don't sweat the small stuff. You guys are going to see Chiron, right? Let's go!" Alexander said cheerfully as he walked past them while tapping each of their shoulders with his hands.

As Alexander walked, he felt the two boys follow him and soon after, they reached the Big House where the duo were playing a card game he had never been before.

"Chiron, Mr. D, I brought Percy." Grover spoke in a small voice as to not irritate the pudgy man.

"Ah. Percy. It's good to see you finally awake. I trust Annabeth took good care of you?" Chiron greeted him first as Dionysus was still focused on the cards.

"Mr. Bruner?! What are you doing here?" Percy looked quite surprised when he saw his old teacher in this place.

I mean, who wouldn't? Your middle school teacher is at a camp where everyone is apparently a god's child. Not exactly something that you'd pick up from casual conversation or his lectures.

"Yes, well, we'd talk about that later. This here is Mr. D. He is the camp director here, so be very respectful."

"Eh? Oh, the brat's awake. Well, I guess I'll have to welcome you eventually…sigh. Welcome to Camp Half-blood, where you'd learn how to survive blah blah blah." Mr. D said unenthusiastically as he stared at his cards with a frown.

"HEY, Percy! Did you know Mr. D stands for Dionysus?" Grover quickly intervened when he saw his friend about to antagonize the scary guy?

"Dionysus? The wine dude? Son of Zeus and god of drunks and all that in the myths?" Percy asked in a confused voice.

PFFT!

A stifled laugh can be heard as the people in the room look at Alex as he somehow managed to sit on a spare chair without anyone noticing and was now sitting next to Chiron.

At the same time, Mr. D looked up at Percy as the sky thundered and small purple flames in his eyes.

"You want me to turn you into a dolphin, Peter Johnson?" He threatened in a low voice.

"Are the gods here all that childish?" Alex whispered in a voice everyone could hear to Chiron.

Almost instantly, Mr. D redirected his glare at him as the room became a bit colder.

The air tensed a bit as Dionysus gathered the smallest bit of his power and produced a small purple flame on his index finger and a small pressure greeted everyone but Chiron.

However, this didn't last long as Alex sucked in some air and blew. A small breeze snuffed out the god's divine power, shocking everyone in the room except Percy, who still looked a bit dazed from the strange pressure he just felt.

"Huh?" Mr. D just had a stupefied look on his face.

How could he not? Some random person literally blew out his flame fueled by his divine energy.

"Don't flaunt your power, little god. It won't work on me." Alex said casually as he rested his chin in the palm of his hand.

"…Anyway, since Percy isn't claimed, let's put him in the Hermes cabin. Grover, take him to watch the orientation film please. And take Annabeth with you." Chiron was as subtle as a horse as he tried to changed the subject.

"Yes!" Grover grabbed Percy's arm and ran like his enchiladas were about to burn.

"Who are you?" Mr. D asked Alex as the door conveniently slammed shut.

"No one you need to worry about." Alex muttered as he was looking through the deck of cards he somehow spread across the table in the few seconds it took for Grover to flee.

"As if someone who can hide himself from the eyes of a god, even as he snuffed out a small amount of my divine energy is someone who isn't a threat." Mr. D scoffed at his response.

"Careful there Mr. D. You wouldn't want to become a second Zeus, now do you? A single paranoid god is enough for any single pantheon, don't you think?"

Mr. D scoffed again, but didn't take his eyes off the strange 'human'.

Poor Chiron was just sitting there. He only wanted to play a small game with Mr. D and was happy when Percy surprisingly walked in. It was supposed to develop into a simple meet and greet with a small bit informing Percy about what is happening. He even expected Percy to antagonize the wine god a bit, but he was sure he could put out the flames of irritation relatively easily.

But NOOOOO~

There just had to be a strong, playful alien Immortal that liked to cause chaos, as he just found out.

"Well, since I'm here, might as well get it out of the way." Alex placed the cards down as his demeaner changed and a serious look can be seen on his face.

"Percy Jackson, and anyone related to him, is under my protection. In other words, tell your council that I would pay them a visit if anything fishy, pun intended, is going on." He said in a serious voice. For some reason, he added a small joke into such a serious declaration.

Chiron just about had a heart attack from what Alex just said. He literally just borderline threatened a whole ass pantheon. Hell, Mr. D wasn't doing any better. He knocked down the can of coke he was drinking. Even the sky felt as if it was staring at the Big House in disbelief while all the campers were wondering why they feel as if the atmosphere is different from the morning.

"Do you know what you just did?" Mr. D got out of his dilemma and asked in the most serious voice he made in years since he came down here.

"Mhm. I said I'd punish any god who thinks it's ok to mess with Percy Jackson. Is my translation rune on the fritz again?" Alex said as he lifted his black sleeve to see a certain black rune tattooed into his skin.

"It looks good." He hummed as he nodded slightly and fixed his sleeve, his attention now redirected towards the deck of cards.

Mr. D just about had a vein pop in his head as his face turned purple. Chiron wasn't any better. He was sitting in a room with a temperamental god and a god-like being who were discussing something that sounded like a potential war declaration. He was Immortal, but he felt as if he would die of a second heart attack right this second.

Suddenly, Alex wave his hand and, unknown to the two sitting with him, a barrier appeared around the Big House and Chiron. Immortal or not, he can still die if he is killed.

Mr. D exploded as his divine energy run rampant. If it weren't for the pitch-black barrier covering the Big House, the aura alone would've made a few campers collapse and the unlucky ones that don't would've looked at the gods divine form and had their eye balls melted off. Oh, and they would die. With potential soul collapse. Not pretty.

"Calm yourself. You have kids in this camp too, you know." Alex said something that made the god freeze and slowly power down.

Chiron himself closed his eyes in time, although he didn't need too because of the barrier.

Just as fast as the barrier came, it disappeared without a trace. The campers who were frozen suddenly ran one by one towards the Big House to see what was going on.

As a few reached the door, they hurriedly knocked. Chiron thanked the gods, fates, demons and all that he knew for this excuse to leave. He's just a trainer. He has no place in this divine level confrontation…although one of them was looking at the card game which miraculously didn't disintegrate…along with the furniture in the room…and the room itself…

"I think I'll go calm the children down…" He slowly wheeled his way towards the door and took the children away from the big house… or so he wanted.

"No, we are done here. I'm leaving. A tourist doesn't stay in one place too long right? Here." Alex announced as he tossed a coin at Chiron.

"Just focus on the coin and say my name. It's like the Iris message thing you told me about. Toodles~" Alex said as he Thanos snapped himself out of the room, leaving behind a dumbstruck centaur and a furious and sober wine god.
