The Proposal

Waden initiates a conversation with Kane, affectionately "Hey sunshine, good morning…you busy at work?," and Kane replied, "Yes as alwayssss, what's up? What you want to do today?....hmmmm by the way I'm on day off but just wanted to rest and rest." Kane responds, indicating she's busy with work as usual but is currently on a day off and looking forward to resting. Waden, however, sensing an opportunity to surprise Kane, decides to proceed with his plan to propose to her.

When he arrived, everyone was surprised and was overjoyed because it's been a long time since he flew to US. "Oh are you ready to catch a frog again? kokak kokak," Bruka said. Waden excitedly said, "oh I can't wait to have it for lunch." Everyone laughs. When Kane's parents he do the usual Filipino greeting by getting their hands and placed each to his forehead and said, "good day Tita" and he felt sorry that Chino was no longer with them since he passed away for sickness.

"Oh are you ready to catch a frog again? kokak kokak," Bruka said. Waden excitedly said, "oh I can't wait to have it for lunch." Bruka Kane's borther, teases Waden with a playful reference to catching frogs, evoking a shared memory or inside joke. Bruka called Kane, "Kane you should go home now," "why what happen?, Kane was so confused. As the line was dropped. So she called everyone home. She learned that her mom was having a heart attack. But she wonders why they didn't bring to the hospital. Since it's her day off, and she drive way home. It is a five hours drive and she arrived at 6 o 'clock in the evening. When she get out of the car, she hurriedly went inside. But everything was dark. Her heart even beat faster thinking that she might be in the hospital now or what could possibly happen to her. She searched all over the house but no one was really there. When she was about to go outside, she heard a sound of a guitar. It was Bruka her brother strumming the guitar. Then one by one of her siblings, gave her one rose each starting from their youngest then her mom and last was Waden holding a big bouquet of flowers. She cried and really wonder what's happening. Then Waden started singing, "I found the love for me,,,,darling just dive right in follow my lead...I found a girl beautiful and sweet....." and everybody sing. Then Waden lead her to the garden, there were letters standing with lights on each that says "will you marry me." Kane was really overwhelmed and cried so much. But everybody is waiting for her answer and they all shouted, "said yes now!" And finally she said "yes" and Waden shouted for joy. 

Kane received a call from Bruka, urging her to return home immediately, "Kane you should go home now," "why what happen?, Kane was so confused. Fearing the worst, Kane hastily makes her way back, her mind filled with worry about her mother's well-being. After a tense and lengthy drive, she arrives home to a scene of darkness and solitude, intensifying her anxiety. However, her apprehension quickly turns to surprise and relief as she hears music emanating from within.

Stepping into the house, Kane is greeted by the heartwarming sight of her family members, each holding a rose, a gesture of love and support. Amidst them stands Waden, holding a beautiful bouquet and serenading her with a love song. His presence fills her with a mix of emotions, but it's his next move that truly overwhelms her.

Waden leads Kane to the garden, where the darkness is illuminated by a display of lights spelling out a heartfelt question: "will you marry me." This romantic gesture leaves Kane speechless, her heart bursting with love and astonishment. Despite her tears of joy, she manages to utter a resounding "yes," eliciting cheers and celebrations from everyone around.
