Encounter with Charles Gei

After Rin and Evelin got in the carriage, Ron also followed them in. The carriage looked quite extraordinary, contrary to the beast who was hitched to the carriage.

Thwack!

Thud!

The coachman didn't take long to whip the girkie. The moment the whipping sound echoed in Rin's ears, the carriage was lifted in the air for a moment.

"Woah."

Rin exclaimed as she almost fell off her seat.

"Croak."

The Girkie made a different noise than the ones it was made which caused Rin to recall the small and cute toads that she used to watch.

Images of the toads in the garden next to her workplace in Tokyo started popping up in her head.

This also caused the image of an animated orange toad, that is, 'Gamabunta' from 'Naruto' to flash in front of Rin's eyes.

'Ah, the old days.'

Rin also remembered those moments of her life when she was a teenager and used to watch Naruto.

Rin looked out of the window of the carriage and realized that the scenery around them continued changing as the Girkie, contrary to its beauty, its speed was stunning.

The infrastructure of Gei Kingdom proved to be a big surprise for Rin.

'This is indeed a different World.'

Rin thought as she was finally accepting the truth by heart.

There were tall buildings everywhere, big malls, stores, and Rin had also seen many pharmacies on the side of the road that the girkie was galloping on.

'The Gei Kingdom is quite similar to Tokyo.'

Rin could see the similarities except for the means of transportation.

'No subway system', Rin realized while closing her lustrous red eyes.

After half an hour of sightseeing from the carriage window.

"We are here."

The coachmen shouted from on top of the beast.

"Let's go, we need to get a good ride."

Ron told Evelin and Rin.

As they left the carriage, Ron went to pay the man for the ride.

Rin looked around and found the entrance of the port very crowded.

She could clearly remember her father saying port but the glass building in front of her showed something else.

"It's even bigger than the airport in Tokyo."

Rin mumbled as she was stunned looking at the humongous building in front of her.

She could even see her and Evelin's reflection in the glass walls of the port building.

Soon Ron joined them.

"Let's go inside."

Ron told them as he entered the building with Evelin and Rin following behind him.

Inside the building, the area was even more crowded.

'If the crowd outside was a lake then the crowd inside was a sea.'

Rin looked around while standing at the entrance.

While Rin was looking around the port building, Ron and Evelin had moved ahead towards the second entrance of the building.

"Woah."

Rin was surprised as she noticed that the building was an open one.

There was another entrance a little further away and the people were gathering around it as they were entering through the entrance one by one.

'Tap.'

Someone clasped Rin's shoulder gently as she was lost in her amazement and down realize that she was still blocking the path for the people behind her.

"Hey, if you don't wanna get pushed by others, I would suggest you stay close with your family."

A sweet voice entered Rin's ears as the person who was behind her whispered.

"Ah, I am sorry."

Rin hurriedly turned around abruptly as she was apologetic for blocking the path of those who were behind her.

Her eyes fell on the person who had just advised her and he ended up doing the same thing.

'A beauty.'

The boy thought.

He looked older than Rin but they both shared the same age.

"Hey, move out of the way, twerps."

People behind them started shouting.

"Hey what are you doing?"

Rin grabbed the boy who was dazzled by her extraordinary beauty and brought him away.

After moving away from the entrance, Rin stopped and turned around.

"I need to find my parents."

Rin finally realized that she had been separated from Ron and Evelin.

"You can let go of my hand."

Rin told the boy who was still holding her hand tightly and gaping at her with shiny eyes.

The boy shook his head as he realized that he was being rude to the young lady in front of him.

"My lady, I am sorry."

The boy stepped back and gave a perfect 90-degree bow.

'Why is he talking in such a strange manner?'

Rin wondered while thinking about how she will find her parents.

"Ah, it's okay. Well, I need to go."

Rin said as she turned around while looking around for Ron and Evelin.

'Tap.'

Rin felt her hand being grabbed again as she gazed at the boy.

"What?", She asked him, hastily.

"C-can I know your name?", while hesitating, the boy asked her with his eyes looking away from Rin.

"Boy, shouldn't you tell your name first?"

Rin, who had forgotten her current age for a second, lashed out.

She was talking like the 29 years old, office employee, which she was.

'Oops.'

Rin realized her mistake, "I mean.."

"Indeed. My Lady, you are right.", The boy interrupted her.

He stepped back his left leg and gave another bow while holding his arm in front of his chest.

"I am the heir to the throne of Gei Kingdom, Charles Gei.", Charles took another step to get close to Rin, "Also known as the Handsome Prince."

He whispered in Rin's ear causing her to almost choke on her saliva.

The boy formally introduced himself as royalty but for some reason, his title was so bizarre that Rin couldn't care about his status at all.

"Okay, Charles 'Gay', I am Rin. Unfortunately, I need to go right now. So take care, Charles Gay.", Rin gave her name while looking around as she kept on pronouncing Charles's name wrongly.

She stepped back to create some distance between Charles and herself.

'Where are they?'

Rin wondered as she couldn't find her parents.

"I would love to meet you again."

Charles said as he grabbed Rin's hand again.

'Why is this kid hitting on me?', Rin who was feeling annoyed smiled awkwardly.

"I don't."

She tried to take her hand back but Charles was holding on to her tightly.

'"Why is a kid so strong? and why can't I find them?", Rin unconsciously said it out loud.

Not giving any face to royalty, Rin felt like crying as Charles opened his mouth.
