"My lady, first my name doesn't have a 'Gay' in it, it's rather pronounced as 'Gei' and secondly I already had my coming of age ceremony, so I am a man, not a kid."
Charles said proudly as he rolled his tongue while teaching Rin to pronounce 'Gei' correctly.
Rin looked at Charles with an amusing look.
The 'man' in front of her had golden hair with a pretty boy face.
He looked tall for his age so it wasn't wrong for him to carry the title of the 'handsome prince'.
While Rin was checking Charles out, he suddenly held Rin's hand and brought his face closer to it.
'Is he going to kiss it?', before Charles could kiss her hand, Rin pulled her hand away from Charles.
No matter how handsome the boy was, she wouldn't fall for this pretty boy's tricks.
Even though it was just a way of greeting for Charles, Rin didn't allow it.
"Honey, where are you?"
"Rin...."
Two loud voices were shouting around the second and main entrance of the port.
Rin recognized the voices as they belonged to Ron and Evelin.
"There they are."
Rin mumbled as she finally got her chance to get away from Charles.
"My lady..."
Charles whispered with a saddened look as he saw the fading back of Rin as she mixed within the crowd.
"Mom, Dad."
Rin finally found Evelin and Ron who were looking for her.
She had suddenly disappeared before so this time Evelin held her daughter's hand.
"Let's go before they fly away."
Ron had his hand on Evelin and Rin's back as he gave them a delicate push towards the second entrance of the port building.
The crowd moved inside the building, Rin was also within the same crowd with Ron and Evelin.
After passing the door of the second entrance, an unbelievable scene welcomed her eyes.
"ROAR."
"ROAR."
"ROAR."
Three deep, prolonged cries were let out by the beasts in front of her.
"Dragons. Just like the one in dragon ball Z."
Rin mumbled as another memory of her childhood was triggered as she listened to the loud cries of the three long dragons that were curled next to each other as they laid on the ground in front of the second entrance.
The dragons had their bodies coiled up but even though they were taking less space they still looked extraordinarily long. So long that Rin stared at the dragons for quite some time.
"They are the direct descendants of Shen Long, the fastest dragon of the fifth sky."
Ron said to his daughter as he realized the shocked expression on Rin's face.
"Honey, this is your first time experiencing such unique sights. There are so many incredible things that you have yet to see."
Evelin added while ruffling Rin's hairs.
'Nod' Rin nodded as she wondered about the new things that she was seeing and hearing about.
'Shen Long?'
'Fifth heaven?'
'I am seeing a real dragon for the first time and there is still more....'
Rin was someone who had lived her whole life in Tokyo. A place where animation is brought to life every year. But seeing the dragon from one of those animations live in front of her was a mind-blowing feeling.
Rin had an excited look on her face as they were moving past the first dragon.
They were still moving with the crowd even though many people had already stopped at the first dragon whose body was slowly opening up from its coiled position.
"We will be on the third one."
Ron told Rin, while she was wondering about the people who had stopped.
"Will we be riding the dragon?"
Rin asked her father with blazing enthusiasm.
"Yes. They are the only efficient flying beasts that can take thousands of people at a time over a long distance."
Ron explained while looking ahead with a smile on his handsome face.
After a few more minutes they had passed the second dragon and arrived at the third one, the one they will be on.
Rin looked at the closed eyes of the third dragon. But while she was staring at the dragon, the dragon suddenly opened its large eyelids, and Rin could see the eyes of this descendant of Shen Long.
'a sharp sword pupil within a dreamy blue iris.'
For a second, their eyes met and Rin felt like she was being pulled by an invisible force.
'AHHH.'
Rin wanted to scream as she could see a shadow of the sword just like the iris of the dragon being swung at her and she couldn't dodge it because of the force that was pulling her.
Just before the sword could slash her.
Boom!
A man who was standing on the other side of the dragon jumped upwards and smacked its head which caused the dragon to close its eyes.
The invisible force disappeared along with the shadow of the sword.
The man-made his way over to Ron and Evelin.
While Rin was standing behind Evelin, she could still feel the glances of the man falling on her who had just walked up to them.
"You are the tamer?"
Ron asked the man with an intriguing look.
The Gei Kingdom was one of the outskirts of kingdoms on the Eden Continent. Most of the inhabitants were humans. But for a young human to be a beast tamer was a rare case.
All the beast tamers belonged to the Beast Tamers Guild while the guild was located in only four kingdoms. One of them being the Aztlan Kingdom.
For a high-class dragon like the one in front of them, the beast tamers would either be vampires or werewolves since it was hard for a human to keep it under control.
Yet here, they had a young human who was a dragon tamer in front of them.
"Yes. He is like my baby", the man said as he patted the dragon next to its nostril.
The dragon's nostril alone was big enough to cover them yet this man was patting it.
'What if he sneezes?'
Rin thought while looking at the man who was tapping his hand gently next to the dragon's oversized nostril.
