Chapter seventy-five 

The day of the attack

Ying Zetian awakes from feeling the tense tension in the air. Ying Zetian had already given orders two days ago to shutter the city and had sandbags piled up against the city wall in preparation for the day. Ying Zetian had already calculated the day that the Qitan army will reach Anping and luckily, she was right in her calculations. Ying Zetian had already given orders in the event if she was asleep when the Qitan army reached on when to give orders for the reservoir to be bombed.

Ying Zetian methodically picked off the Qitan soldiers who was desperately fighting as if they are not humans and will not die. It was the first time, Ying Zetian had first view of the destruction that her ideas caused. When the three cities of Yingan were destroyed, Ying Zetian is already a safe distance away and the impact is not as great as what she is feeling now.

Ying Zetian in her logical mind knew that if she wanted to carry out her plans, her hands will definitely be soaked in blood. Zhang Qubing had also come up beside her to report to her that Anping soldiers are still fighting and have successfully ensured that the water did not make its way into the city.
