Chapter Seventy-six 

On the way back to Changan

Ying Zetian was on her journey back to Changan and it will be the start of the greatest gamble of her life. Ying Zetian had already gone through the cleanup of any bodies if there is outside of the city of Anping to ensure that the city will not be subjected to the chance of a plague. Ying Zetian also had ensured that all general matters of Anping is up and in running order. So, today Ying Zetian with seven thousand troops of Chnagping is on their way back to Changan.

The idea of it was so that these seven thousand troops could take the reward from Tang Zhong on behalf of all the other troops. Ying Zetian knew that Qitan will not be up to an attack any soon and there is why she took the risk of bringing so many troops back to Changan. The leaders of these seven thousand troops are the men of Ying Zetian and they have been training the men for her for the past ten years.

Ying Zetian when on her horse outside of the city of Anping was saying her goodbyes to the army that was still warmly talking to her and reluctant to let her go. The soldiers were still warmly praising Ying Zetian on the great strategy that she had thought of that wiped out a two hundred thousand Qitan army. Ying Zetian on the other hand was still swearing to herself that she will not every come back to Changping. Why? Because of the sandstorms, Ying Zetian is sick of the weeks of eating food that have sand in them. Ying Zetian was shivering at the thought of her time travelling to ancient Egypt and forced to eat sand loaded food.

Zhang Qubing was on the horse beside her and affectionately rubbing her head as he understood the look she saw in her eyes. Ying Zetian was thinking of the fact that being in the ancient world without access to good dental care is not beneficial to her if she keeps on eating food with sand. Ying Zetian's teeth will suffer, and she could not eat the sweet food that she loves.

Of course, Ying Zetian do not know that some of the soldiers of Changping was talking behind her back on how evil she was and that she is a great contrast. The soldiers of Anping just could not link the warm Ying Zetian and especially how affectionate she will behave when she is around Zhang Qubing with the term of evil. This talk will ensure that in the future, history will write Ying Zetian as an evil but capable ruler. But, even if Ying Zetian knew of this, she could not be bothered as she knew that due to the evilness of what she had done, nobody will dare to come up to her when she was alive to scold her for it. Being a person who lived two lifetimes in the ancient and modern world, Ying Zetian knew the importance of living in the present.

Arrival at Changan

Tang Wudi was anxiously waiting on his horse outside Changan for the view of his girl that he had been missing her for months.
