Blacksmithing Part 2 Chp 71

#TIMESKIP 4 DAYS LATER#

#AIDEN POV#

I am hammering away with the Adamantine tools Hephaestus left at his forge. Striking down on the Uru that I am currently using.

I managed to melt down Zenith and Zeus's spear which took a lot from me and I am now dropping the melted metal slowly into the melted Uru while infusing it with my essence in order for it to bind to me.

Since both the spear and Zenith to certain aspects of me as well as my form of adaptation which I am hoping that the limited control that I have over it also goes to the metal. I just need to make it to the initial shape and hopefully, it will keep its shapeshifting abilities.

After an hour hammering away at it and finished putting the molten Adamantine as I frown realizing that it might now look golden.

I found out the reason why Gungnir is golden.

Odin's grandfather Buri had the first dwarves of Nidavellir make it for him in order to bring the rest of the Asgardians together and he did this in a cruel way.

Gungnir suppresses the powers of the Asgardian race otherwise there would be a lot more 'gods' known as before they were more powerful than the current ones that is not even funny. Some of them on average were at least as powerful as Mark granted most of them couldn't fly or weren't as fast but strength-wise they could give him a run for his money and don't get me started on their former potential for magic. They either bowed down to Buri or died and many chose death and then they were made into the first draugr.

However, by the time Thor was born most of it was lifted as Gungir's power is not unlimited and I am sure Odin doesn't even know how powerful it is as from what I discovered at Kamar-Taj he only uses it for his Odinforce.

The Odinforce is essentially a pocket dimension filled with magic and passed from Buri to Bor and then Odin. However, it was Odin who truly made it his own when he drank from the well of Mimir. He uses the power of the Odinforce to power his runes in order to avoid drawing energy from other dimensions.

But this has one serious side effect, the Odinsleep. The Odinsleep is used as a way to fill up the reserves that were used and even then it takes a huge mental strain on him which requires him to sleep and the Odinforce doesn't even have to be empty in order for him to need to sleep as the strain can sometimes be a bit much. Also, as he gets older he needs it more often until he passes away.

I fold the metal once again while begin to sense the connection coming back again as I make it take the Uru into itself as bluish flames begin to appear but I make them go into the metal as I want this process to be done correctly. I begin hitting the metal once again as it is still in a rough shape of a longsword.

Something that I figured out is that it is going to weaken is the ability to turn itself into whatever I want as the Uru is just too rigid for the Adamantine. I hope I can at least change it into a dagger or a greatsword as the design I am going for is a longsword.

I continue hammering away at the metal as I fold it again even though the ability for it to change shape may make it seem redundant but doing something like this feels like it makes it stronger than ever as I continue again and again for another few hours.

I have already found the Progenitor the dead celestial on Earth which I have a lot of plans for it. I tried to get the fortress to connect to it. In all honesty, when I saw that it could connect to it I began making even more plans for the body of the dead celestial.

The fortress is still going over any amount of information it can and when it did I was disappointed turns out that when a Celestial dies any information it gained is also lost with its death. Although, the fortress is linking to it so I may have a celestial on my side but I just want access to hopefully its cosmic flames in order to replicate some of the enchantments on Excalibur primarily the one that lets me kill anything.

A few hours later as I finish hammering at the metal in while using my super speed I bring out some flames to keep it hot as I open a portal to the Progenitor to see if I can use its flames for the enchantments.
