Chapter 13

"No, you didn't talk on your sleep." Seeing her so anxious, Lello decided not to tell her the truth. It seems like Ziah doesn't want anybody to know her past, just like him, and he decided to respect that. He saw her sighed with relief.

"Thank you for taking care of me, last night.", Ziah said politely.

"No need to mention that, you saved Nally, that's the least I can do." Lello got up and gathered the dishes she used. "I'll clean up at the kitchen, you better take a good rest today."

Ziah laid back in bed after seeing Lello closed the door. She was so relieve that she did not say anything during sleep, she hates it when people is getting to know her past. She prefer it hidden to everyone.

After cleaning up, Lello decided to go back to the hospital. He walk into Ziah's room and saw her sleeping peacefully. He stared at her beautiful face. She looked like a goddess sleeping peacefully on her bed. The light coming from the window makes her white skin glow. As he stared at her she can't help but try to touch her face, but he restrained himself even before he can touch her. He must not cross his boundaries. He is only here to take care of her because of Nally, he should stop admiring her or else, it would surely open a more deeper feelings that he cannot afford to have at this time. He straightened his back and decided to just leave a note for Ziah before leaving for the hospital.

"Ziah! What are you doing here?!", Selena shouted when she saw her niece inside their study room.

"What? Am I not allowed to enter the study room in my own house?"

"This is not your house anymore, this is our house.", Selena said smugly.

"This! Is my house! That you stole from me!", Ziah said full of anger.

"Say everything you want, but this house is legally under our name now." Selena said confidently. "If you can't accept it, then move out."

"As if I'll do that! This is my parents house, and I won't move out.", she said trying to compose herself.

"Then you have to follow my rules, you cannot just go in any room aside from your room, because this is not your house anymore."

"Come to think of it. If I want to get all my properties back, I think I have the power to do that anytime." Ziah said sarcastically.

"Oh yeah?"

"Yes. I just have to make Lucio divorce you. If I would agree on his request to sleep with him, I can take all the properties back and make you a homeless person."

"What did you say? Are you that shameless? My husband is your uncle!" Selena was furious.

"He is not my uncle, he was just an adopted child of my father's family."

"And you think my husband will leave me for you?You're dreaming."

"Why not? You can't even give him a child...You are useless.", she smiled smugly at her aunt and purposely bump into her before she walked out of the room.

"Agh! That bitch!" Selena was very mad and wanted to slap her but she knows that she can't win over Ziah as she is an expert in martial arts. "You just wait and see! I'll make sure to kick you out of this house!", she screamed at the top of her lungs wishing that Ziah was in front of her.

'Damn that ugly witch! I almost found the secret safe if only that witch is not here.'

Ziah secretly went into the study room to find the secret safe. She actually wanted to find some money and move out of the house. Her aunt wanted her to leave the house but she doesn't want to give her a single cent, while her uncle doesn't want her to move out because of his sexual desires on her. She wanted to hold on to this house but she knew that her parents would prefer it if she would leave the house than to keep herself here and suffer.

When Ziah woke up, it was already dark. She felt exhausted from the dream that she had. From the day that her parents died she did not have even a single night of peaceful sleep. She was always haunted of her past. She looked at the bedside table and found a tray of food and a note beside it.

'I went back to the hospital this morning and check on you this afternoon, but you were still sleeping. Eat your food when you wake up. Get well soon.

Ziah smiled at the thought of Lello. He looks cold and mysterious, sometimes he's arrogant and rude, but there are also times that he is caring and polite. Ziah caught her reflection in the mirror and saw herself smiling. It was long ago since she smiled sincerely. She got up and brought the food in the kitchen and heat it up. Lello's cooking is superb, the porridge this morning was very tasty and the food this time looks elegant and smells delicious. She doesn't want to ruin the nice food presentation in the plate so she just threw the dish in the microwave and started to eat. She ate heartily and enjoyed the time she was eating the food. When she felt full, she remove her clothes and went inside the bathroom to take a shower.

While she was in the shower, she heard someone opened the door. She frowned at the thought of someone being inside her apartment without permission. She clearly remembered that she locked the door before she took a shower. She reach out for the towel and cover herself with it and slowly opened the door. The intruder kept the lights off and is walking carefully towards her bedroom. She saw a silhouette of a man. From his built she is sure that the man is taller than her and have a nice figure. She just recovered from her fever last night so she was not in the best condition to fight, but she's alone and needs to protect herself. She readied herself to fight and tookr a deep breath. She moved swiftly without noise and attacked the intruder with all her might. The intruder was startled seeing her attacking him so he was not able to move and felt a kick on his stomach. He groaned in pain and murmured something but Ziah was in adrenaline and cannot hear what the intruder was saying. But whatever it is, she doesn't care. He went inside her house without permission even though her apartment was locked so he clearly wanted to do something which is not right so she continously attacked the intruder.
