Chapter 34- White Saint

I thought of something cheesy for Simon.

he is gonna be called the 'White Saint'

cuz he has white hair and can heal.

Simon looked at the blonde prince in front of him. He was currently slumped comfortably on a very fancy couch.

In this very luxurious room, three handsome people were sitting and all of them had very different expressions.

Alberu carried a dark expression, signifying he was very annoyed. He didn't seem like he was enjoying this.

Cale seemed very calm. While Simon had an easy-going smile.

If anybody was curious about what was happening, then it was pretty simple. Currently, negotiations were taking places

For what?

Alberu had come to visit Cale and Simon who were resting after being "injured". No need to sugar coat words. He had come here to make a deal.

Alberu was well aware of what type of person Cale was. As for Simon, he also seemed to be similar to Cale. He had done a little bit of research.

Alberu couldn't find any information on Simon as he had no clues but knew well enough about Cale.

≈A trash belonging to the wealthy Count Family≈

≈Does nothing but drink and fool around. Causes problems and gets away with using money≈

These were the reports from his investigations. Cale Henituse was renowned for being a trashy young master. Except for this, Alberu had no other information.

This was very bad for him as the one he was facing was definitely not a trash. No trash could have relations with a royal.

Plus, Cale's behavior made it clear that he wasn't a fool. Simon also was very smart from Alberu's observations.

Simon always talked in a very irritating way that made sure nobody got any information about him. Plus, Simon had a smug face whenever Alberu tried to get more information.

Not just Alberu but even Cale was dumbfounded at Simon. Simon was really not holding back at mocking Alberu.

Of course, Simon would disagree but that wasn't going to change the facts. Fortunately, Simon's strategy worked and Alberu gave up on digging information.

Simon smiled after Alberu finally gave up.

'Man He was so persistent.'

Alberu kept asking Simon about his identity. Every chance he would get, he asked enough times to actually annoy Simon.

Simon didn't want to tell anything since Alberu will find it out later anyway. So He decided to annoy Alberu to the fullest while he could.

And, Not lying it felt good to annoy Alberu when he was being so persistent.

Simon either said his name only or introduced himself as Cale's friend to Alberu. After doing this enough times to make Alberu give up, Simon had a smug face.

Further irritating Alberu. Leaving Simon, Cale was dumbfounded at Simon. He had also been surprised when Simon used that mysterious power.

It seemed similar to Telekineses. He decided to not probe further for now. Choi Han had come here a few minutes earlier and reported that Redika managed to escape alive.

The other subordinates of Redika all met the fate called death. After that, Rosalyn took away both Choi Han and Lock.

Cale had also gotten the letter that said Ron had finally left them.

Although most of the people had left, Cale still had the dragon with him. So, His safety wasn't a problem. He continued some talking to the Crown Prince.

After a few minutes, the Crown Prince finally asked.

"Ok, What do you guys want as a reward?"

Alberu, who expected to hear Title, merit for the territory, fame, or something similar was very surprised to hear Money.

Cale needed money because the final Ancient power he aimed for required money to get.

As for Simon, When Alberu asked, He replied like it was the most obvious thing.

"Because... Food costs money."

Alberu was dumbfounded again. He knew food costs money. Everything costs money.

"Yes, Yes Food costs money."

Alberu quickly left the room murmuring the same thing. He couldn't handle being near this guy. He needed some fresh air. He thought that he was too stressed.

Simon wasn't actually messing with Alberu here. He was speaking the truth. Food costs money. Plus, He was the type to travel a lot. All of this will cost him money.

Simon wasn't going to leech off Cale. Although Cale was rich, Simon wouldn't depend on others for his living. He was gonna earn money himself and spend it himself.

Simon, Alberu, and Cale had just made a deal. Simon and Cale who were currently seen as heroes had to praise the Crown.

Say good words about how understanding and wise The Royals were.

This was to basically let the crown strengthen its power in the time of chaos. In return, Alberu would protect Cale and Simon from the unnecessary investigation.

He would also reward them handsomely. As both chose money, Alberu was going to give them the Golden Plaque but after hearing Simon's reason.

Cale got the Golden Plaque while Simon got a magic bag filled with money. A lot of money. A very huge sum of money.

Both of them were satisfied so it was a happy ending. Simon also left the room and went to the next room which was as luxurious as the one Cale was staying in.

The next day a certain merchant had shown up but Simon decided not to be bothered. As for Alberu, He was ecstatic after finally finding a lead on Simon.

The days went by normally as after a week, Simon and Cale had slightly recovered from their "injuries".

...

A huge crowd had again gathered in front of the Plaza of Glory. King Zed was currently going to hold a memorial for the deceased.

Along with that, The people who took action during the terror incident would also be given medals.

Simon and Cale were both wearing very luxurious clothes. They had politely declined the medal of honor since they had already gotten what they wanted.

Of course, to those oblivious to the deal between Alberu and these two, this act seemed like being humble.

Powerful yet humble.

This was the image in the hearts of the people. Simon also knew it but kept silent. He had brainstormed and thought about using Zero in the plaza.

The time he wasted thinking was gone. So this fame was compensation for him. He could use his fame to do many things so he never even tried to stop any rumors.

Instead, Simon had been predicting what his nickname will be like. He knew that since Cale will be known as Young Master Silver shield he would also be named something.

Simon didn't mind what people called him. He just wanted it to make sense. If the name doesn't make any sense or is too arrogant sounding he was fine with anything.

Simon would despise that name. Simon was wondering what it would be. The god seemed to have heard his wishes as Simon's curiosity was satisfied from the crowd.

"Look, It's Young Master Silver Light and the White Saint."

After hearing this, The expression of Simon and Cale froze together.

'...'

'Shit'

Cale didn't want a cheesy name like that and Simon was...

Simon was shocked. He was really shocked. Sure, He didn't mind what he was called but come on.

White Saint?

What type of name is that? Saint? Isn't that the child of a God? Like hell, Simon would like it.

The God that sent him here was already hated by Simon. He also knew what Gods were like here. What the hell?

Why was he a Saint? That doesn't make any sense. Sure he looked holy but did people go crazy?

Isn't that the same as making him the enemy of all the temples? To them, Wasn't Simon just proclaiming he was a Saint?

Plus Saints already exist. And Simon was well aware of who he will meet very soon.

Both Cale and Simon looked at Hilsman for an explanation. Hilsman said with a smile.

"Young master, I guess they call you, 'young master Silver Light' now. Ahem, cool people like you are bound to get awesome nicknames"

Cale frowned hard. What cool? He didn't want anything like that but refrained from saying much because he had heard what Simon's nickname was.

Hilsman coughed and opened his mouth.

"Ahem, Simon-nim. The people found out that you were using your powers to heal the dying beggars in the slums. So..."

Simon and Cale were both speechless.

'What was he doing?!'

Cale felt like he needed an explanation. If Simon ran around and doing stuff like that it would be a problem.

'WHAT!?'

Simon had a speechless face but he was screaming in his mind. He knew what those beggars were. But, Who found out about it?

Plus, It had only been a single day. And those beggars were in the state of being either extremely drunk or near death. He only healed them to test his powers.

'I should've covered my hair.'

That was the only thing he forgot to cover. Simon thought that if he healed drunk and dying beggars he wouldn't be remembered.

Even if they remembered him, The news should have been overshadowed by the Terror incident. But that had clearly failed.

The terror incident was terrible but it went a little too well.

Actually, it wouldn't have happened if Arm had attacked a bit harder.

But that clearly didn't happen.

Seven days ago the small rumor of a holy-looking being healing the beggars had been circulating. For a bit of context as to why it began.

Robbery was very rare in the capital but there were some thugs everywhere. A drunk wealthy man had an accident with some thugs and ended up injured in the back alley of a tea shop.

Simon found him and healed him but the wealthy man had seen his white hair. The wealthy man remembered a blurry figure of the man but couldn't quite place who it was.

But, He was sure he would recognize this mystery person if he saw him again. Later the man came back and inquired about this person to repay him.

He asked around and heard that a white-haired person was indeed seen near. He also found some other drunk people who remembered being healed by a white-haired man.

One of them said that the man also had blue eyes. The wealthy man was sure that the mysterious man helped him and didn't ask for anything.

He also considered this mystery man his savior since he would have missed going to the Plaza of Glory. The wealthy person arrived at the Plaza in time and was among the huge crowd.

He of course saw Simon there. His memory clicked and he remembered that it was Simon who helped him. Simon never used his healing power in front of anyone but he messed up this time.

Rather his luck was very odd.

That was how it began and after this and that. The news became famous and by the next 7 days, it was known by all the people.

Even Alberu heard this news and was dumbfounded. He tried suppressing it but this wasn't just a rumor but many people had already seen Simon.

In the end, Alberu was about to tell Simon but stopped intentionally. He needed to get back at Simon. It may seem petty because it was petty but, Alberu really wanted to repay the irritation Simon had given him.

Simon wasn't aware of anything but saw the wealthy man, who was smiling in the crowd. Simon remembered this guy since he was the most injured.

After seeing this guy here, Simon understood it all. His lips twitched as he wanted to laugh at himself.

'This must be Karma.'

Simon regretted going outside that day. He should have kept his curiosity to himself and not risked by using his powers.

Simon turned around and took a big sigh. Cale saw this and was sure that Simon had indeed healed people. He also decided to talk with him.

TO BE CONTINUED

ik this is far-fetched but I wasted too much time thinking of a plausible explanation to give that name.

its all forced but leave it. its a cheesy nickname and that's all it matters.
