Chapter 35- Impossible!

So, this chapter was late. Why? I have a reason.

So, a few days earlier I had an idea for a novel but I brushed it off. but that idea kept bugging me. I was so disturbed by it that I couldn't properly focus on things.

so, I just wrote it without any consideration for errors. after stopping, the word count had reached 5000... I wasted too much time on it

also, I am not gonna write another novel. it was just a thought that became too annoying.

The memorial for the dead and the reward ceremony passed without any problems. King Zed also gave a speech to raise the morale of the people and to cheer up the depressed mood.

It was the next day, Cale had left the capital. He was currently traveling to the Ubar Territory. The coasts to be exact. Cale's goal was to get the sound of the wind.

The third Ancient power that Cale wanted was called the Sound of the wind. He would also be getting another Ancient Power, which had limited uses.

But currently, Cale looked at the guy in front of him. White hair, blue eyes that seemed to be bored for some reason, It was Simon. This guy was staring outside of the carriage.

Cale had not asked much to Simon. He never bothered to ask much. Cale knew Simon wasn't the type to be ordered around by anybody.

Still, Cale needed to have his confusions cleared if Simon would be tagging along with him. Cale didn't waste time and asked bluntly.

"Healing people? With that, your title of being called a Saint really suits you. Will you mind telling me the reasons."

Simon looked towards Cale. He had expected this question. Simon knew that Cale was going to ask him sooner or later.

In fact, Simon was surprised that Cale didn't ask sooner.

"Well, I hate that nickname. It's worse than your, Young Master Silver Shield-nim."

Cale clicked his tongue but asked back with a bright smile.

"No. How could this lowly noble compare to a Saint-nim like you?"

Cale wasn't the type to be played around this easily. His bright smile was enough to convey his message.

This time Simon clicked his tongue. In the corner of the carriage, The kittens and the Black dragon were looking at this interaction quitely.

Hong didn't know what to do so he stayed silent like his sister. The black dragon was busy wondering the meaning of Cale's smile.

This was the most peculiar smile he had seen in his 4 great years of life. He had read many books and gained knowledge about many things.

Still, this smile amazed him. What could it mean?

As the dragon was pondering, Simon decided to get to the point. He was excited to see the i̶n̶f̶a̶m̶o̶u̶s̶ famous smile but having it directed towards him wasn't the best experience.

"I didn't know I would be recognized. Plus, I wasn't randomly going around healing people...ok, maybe I was but it's not that great."

Cale didn't believe a single thing. He had a stoic expression as he kept silent.

Simon obviously saw this and finally sighed.

"Ok, Ok I give up."

"So, Do you remember that I called myself a puppeteer?"

Cale nodded his head but was still silent.

"Well, That was not a complete lie but let's say it was a half-truth."

Simon took out the doll version of one of his puppets. He made the doll grow in size but made it stop at a certain height.

Cale's eyes shook at this. He hadn't seen this. He wondered why he never questioned where Simon kept his puppets.

"The thing is that I can control the size of these puppets and I can also do this."

Right after Simon finished speaking, The puppet disappeared. This time not just Cale but even the dragon was extremely surprised.

The black dragon even shouted.

"Impossible!"

Cale and Simon looked at the Black dragon who had appeared in the carriage. They knew he was here but it was a surprise for them that he shouted like that.

"I have already cast a soundproof barrier."

The black dragon wasn't stupid and cast a noise cancellation barrier before speaking.

"It is impossible. I don't sense any magic in that."

After the puppet grew in size, The black dragon cast the barrier but when it disappeared he couldn't help but shout.

He was a dragon. Although, still 4, He was a dragon. A great and mighty Dragon. The King of Mana.

No magic could be performed without him knowing. Still, he had seen something happen which was not because of magic.

He had already questioned how Simon had dealt with the suicide bomber but now it became even more confusing.

Cale was also similar. This was nothing similar to what he expected. This easily defied his knowledge about this world.

"It is possible. So, You see I am a bit special. I myself don't know how this works but it just... works like this."

Simon himself felt what he said didn't make sense but this was too confusing for him too.

"Basically, I can add special attributes to things. But, there is a backlash for everything."

Cale didn't speak a single word. The dragon also quietly stared at Simon.

"This power might seem powerful but it's not. I mean it is but the backlash is too much. Every time I use it, I need to be careful so I don't mess it up.

I need to feel a very intense headache every time I use it. The intensity depends on what I did. It's similar to your Ancient Powers. The reason I was unconscious that day was that I fainted after using my powers."

Cale now understood why Simon was unconscious that day.

"As I said, the intensity depends on what I tried to add. So, I can give attributes to anything, that includes... living beings too."

The kittens gasped.

"Of course, the backlash is off the charts and I can only use it once."

Cale didn't move much and was comprehending the knowledge.

"But,... I can heal wounds as many times as I want... along with a hell level headache"

"..."

The carriage fell into silence.

Finally, Cale clicked his tongue again.

'Ah, This is troublesome.'

Cale wondered if he had pissed some gods in the previous life of his previous life. What the hell was wrong with this world? No, his life.

Couldn't it get a little bit less troublesome?

Cale didn't think it was a bad thing that Simon had these powers. He had god-knows how many questions. But, it would be all fine.

The thing Cale complained about was, why? Why had he gotten caught up in this stuff?

Couldn't he have gotten normal transmigration? He really wanted to punch the reason for his sufferings.

Simon then started explaining how he got the title of 'White Saint'. He didn't speak for too much time and just gave a brief explanation.

All of them were silent and Cale decided to stop complaining about his bad luck after hearing Simon's story... for now.

Simon didn't know this but Cale's mood lightened up after knowing that something as powerful as Zero was possible to make.

Cale didn't like the idea of letting Simon kill his brain by mass-producing other Zeroes but it felt reassuring to know that there would be a Highest Grade-Knight level fighter near you.

And the fact that you could make more was better. Cale wasn't in the biggest rush. If it took time, it would be fine.

Cale finally sighed. The information was too much to take in. Still, he processed it all and concluded. Cale was also a bit happy that Simon's puppet could grow stronger.

Now, there was also a healer that could help them in a very emergency situation.

Simon also sighed. This was more stressful than he thought. Simon didn't care much about the dragon and the kittens knowing since they wouldn't leak his powers.

Still, it felt a bit odd to let others know of his powers. Simon didn't give out a single thing to indicate he was a transmigrator.

Still, one of his major secrets was still a secret but between 5 people. Thinking about it, It also had plus points to it.

Now, Simon could rely on these guys to help him in a situation where he needs to or has used his powers.

'It feels nice to know you have people that have your back.'

This was the last thought of Simon before the carriage stopped for a break. It seemed to be lunchtime.
