Simon got out of the carriage he had been in for the past 2 days. He stretched his arms while looking at the view in front of him.

Waves of water were crashing on the shore, the salty yet fresh air coming from the sea could make any person feel relaxed. Plus it was around the time of sunset.

The orange sun in the distance and the golden water made a very beautiful scene.

Simon turned his head as it stopped in the direction of a certain cliff.

At the same time, Hong gasped behind him.

"Look at that cliff."

It was the same cliff Simon was looking at. It was also the most famous place in the Ubar territory.

'Cliff of the Wind'

This was the best view you could find here. Although the sunset was beautiful, it was nowhere near this iconic cliff. There were many small islands besides the cliff. Arranged in such a manner that they looked like neatly placed there.

Along with this beauty, You could also see very violently raging whirlpools.

These whirlpools were the ones that made this place very dangerous.

'But that's going to change soon.'

Simon smiled as he turned around to see the kittens looking at the cliff with both awe and fear. He then turned towards Cale, who had not even moved from the carriage and was slumped in his seat as if nothing mattered to him.

The black dragon, who was invisible, was also staying in the carriage with Cale. But, he was still looking outside from the window.

Except for Cale, nobody here wanted to miss out on seeing this place.

"Young Master Cale. Are you feeling sick?"

Hans was the first to ask Cale anything. They were currently in front of a small village. In this entire area, there were 3 villages.

One of the reasons this place could be called beautiful was the place itself. The shores were formed in a crescent form. If you looked from above, This place would seem like a moon on land.

This village was in the center while the other two villages were in one of both ends of the moon. This place had a picturesque view of both ends of the Crescent shape.

Thus, This place had the potentiality to become a very good tourist attraction, but the whirlpools' existence made it very dangerous.

"No, Don't worry too much."

Cale shook his head along with his response. He also slowly walked out of the carriage and stretched himself.

Simon again turned his head around to see a young lady approaching them. Cale reached his hands out to her.

"It's been a while, Young Lady Amiru."

Yes, It was none other than Amiru.

"Long time no see, Young Master Cale."

She also turned towards Simon and said.

"Hello, Simon-nim. My name is Amiru Ubarr. I believe that this would be our first time meeting."

"As you already know, My name is Simon. And, this is indeed our first time meeting."

Simon replied with the same energy that Amiru had. Simon had a very bright smile on his face as he also shared a few words with Amiru before stepping back a bit.

The place they were in was a small seaside village. Except for the view, There were not many special things about this village. But that would change soon.

Of course, Cale would be the reason for that. Besides this soon-to-happen event, Cale could see a Knight of Amiru approaching them.

The Knight quickly came near and reported to Amiru.

"My Lady, The unconscious person you saved has just woken up."

"Oh, I see."

'Saved? Unconcious?'

Cale was a bit surprised. He knew at this point that the BoAH was no longer his main card. The novel he had read and the world he was in were the same.

It was almost identical if you exclude all the things that went wrong. Cale could depend on his knowledge from the book but he also needed to be cautious.

Still, Cale felt that something was wrong.

'Oh, It's Toonka.'

While Cale was contemplating things, Simon knew who it would be. He was even a bit excited. Not because of Toonka but because he would be meeting the Whales soon.

Simon, as a reader of the novel really wanted to see how beautiful these so-called Whales were. Plus, Toonka was also part of his excitement.

The novel said that Toonka was called the Mage Slayer. He was the strongest man in the western continent. Even stronger than Lock, the future Wolf King.

'But, I doubt that the current Lock would lose to this guy.'

Simon couldn't believe it if Lock lost to Toonka. In the original BoAH, Lock was still that weak timid boy.

Not exactly weak, Lock was powerful there but not as powerful as he was now.

The only thing that made Simon interested in this fellow called Toonka was Toonka's personality. It is said that Toonka is a fighting Maniac.

Simon wanted to see how crazy this guy actually was.

"When we were inspecting the shores, we found a boat that seemed to have faced an unfortunate event. Along with that, We found an unconscious person."

Amiru explained the situation to Cale, who had been staring into the air with a perplexed facial expression.

'Basically a shipwrecked guy... This seems oddly familiar.'

Cale had a bad feeling. He had also guessed who this person might be. The novel had changed a lot but still, many things were similar.

"We rescued him and he has been unconscious since then."

Cale's guess was the one and only Barbarian, Toonka. Not exactly a barbarian but somebody that is the closest to a barbarian. Toonka was the type of guy that didn't give a shit about the weak.

All he wanted was to fight strong people. Even in the wars, He charged straight in. Not caring about strategies at all. All he needed was to fight and win. Even if his soldiers were injured, Toonka never bothered.

"I see. I hope he is fine."

'Since He might be that Toonka. If he recovered early and went away, It would be the best'

Cale wanted to hope that Toonka would remain unconscious until he left. But it would be impossible considering Toonka's character. Cale just wanted Toonka to wake up and leave.

Or it would be even better if that guy kept sleeping for a few more days. In short, Cale didn't want to meet with this guy.

"As expected of you Young Master-nim. You are really worried about everybody."

'Hmm?'

Amiru seemed to have misunderstood but Cale didn't bother to correct her. He was busy thinking about the details of Toonka from the novel.

Nobody noticed that Simon had a small smile on his face as he watched Cale's "concern" for this "unknown" shipwrecked person.

"Through his attire and physique, he seemed to be someone from the Whipper Kingdom."

'Yea it's definitely Toonka.'

Cale internally sighed before asking Amiru. His guess was basically confirmed at this point.

"Young Lady Amiru, where will we be staying?"

"Oh, You have yet to completely recover, right?"

"Indeed. Simon also has some difficulties if he moves around too much"

"...Oh no, We have to hurry then."

Cale didn't respond but only gave a slight nod. Amiru led the group to their residence. A house that didn't fit in the other residences of the village.

This place seemed to be the nicest in the entire village. It stood out like a sore thumb. The luxury here and the simplicity there would make you question if you were in the same place.

In simple words, the other houses couldn't even compare to this one.

Cale immediately sent everybody out of his room except the cats, the black dragon, and Simon. Cale comfortably sat down on a chair.

He looked up at the ceiling before calling out.

"Hey"

"What is it?"

The black dragon appeared in front of Cale.

"Stay beside me for a while."

"You can't order me. I do whatever I want."

Although The response seemed negative, The black dragon did what Cale said.

"Hmmm, what do you plan to do here?"

Simon had also plopped down on a chair. Cale turned his head towards him and spoke.

"Blowing some stuff up."

"Do you need my help for anything?"

"No. It will be easy. You can do what you want."

Simon stood up after hearing that.

"If that's it, Bye."

Cale watched as Simon left the room. He didn't say anything and just stared at the ceiling, enjoying the silence.

...

The next morning.

"Young Master Cale."

Cale looked in the direction of the voices and saw the wolf children. These were the 10 surviving wolves except Lock.

Cale was going to take care of these guys and Lock would do the job Cale would be giving him shortly.

When Cale first saw them, these kids were all bruised and scared.

Now they seem completely different. It was because of none other than Beacrox. Beacrox, as Ron's son, was a torture expert but he was still a cook for the Count's family.

So, he would have to follow Cale's orders. And, Cale ordered him to take care of the children. Basically, he made Beacrox the babysitter.

At first, Cale wanted to have Simon take care of them since Simon seemed close with Lock but Simon rejected the idea.

'No, not happening. I can't take care of them, First of all, I don't know how to do it. Second, there isn't anything I can teach them. Third, They would be of no help to me since I do nothing. It would only be a waste of their time .'

Simon then went on to suggest Beacrox be the babysitter for the Wolves. Simon even told him a long explanation on why Beacrox was better suited for this job.

Cale didn't like the idea at first but seeing the children now, Simon was right. Beacrox was a clean freak so Cale assigned the children as his assistants.

Beacrox made sure they would be clean. The kids all had their hair brushed, wore proper and clean clothes, and had a smile showing they were happy to be able to help them.

It was hard to believe these kids had come from a remote village.

Among the children, Maes, who was the second eldest after Lock, spoke up.

"Young Master Cale, Uncle Beacrox has prepared this special seafood for you." (Author: the kids actually call Beacrox 'uncle' officially, Pftttt)

"Please eat well."

"Give Beacrox...my thanks."

Cale excused the kids before speaking again.

"You guys also eat."

The kittens and the Black dragon went and sat on the table. Cale also took a seat before he leisurely ate.

...

Maes looked at the door behind him, He told his younger siblings to go to the Kitchen. Maes took another plate and went towards Simon's room.

'Simon hyung seems cold but he is very nice. Get along well with him.'

This was what Lock had told him before leaving. Maes had seen that Lock was very comfortable around Simon. Even calling him Hyung(which means big brother btw, if u don't know).

Still, Maes was a bit nervous around Simon. Not just him but even some of the knights that didn't know Simon were ...afraid of Simon.

Simon just seemed scary. He was awfully quiet. Never started a conversation with anyone. Even if Simon had a happy smile most of the time, He still seemed unapproachable.

Nobody knew why but, They just couldn't approach Simon. Maes was also like this. He had decided to come here alone because he knew that his other sibling were even more scared of Simon.

Maes gathered up his thoughts and looked at the door in front of him. He had already arrived in front of Simon's room. Maes knew he shouldn't be this scared and also knew this was extremely rude. But, he couldn't help it.

He finally gulped and pushed the door open.
