You Are Not A Friend

The next morning, Candy had woken up swore and today is the day when her mother comes back, and then she was coming back with her mother.

"Today, grandma is coming back here but I need to make sure that they don't find out about dad being fired over my mistakes. I need to keep this down."

Candy was looking for something and that was her notebook and had gotten the notebook and she was writing down her emotion and therefore had something come up with her head going from one thought to the next.

"What am I going to do?"

Candy thought to herself and she was hoping that something would come up with something that will save her from this nightmare.

"I need to save myself from this."

She was crying but she was crying silencing and she was hoping that her dad is not hearing her and she had grabbed her shoes and her backpack and then went to school and today is Friday and now she heading to school today and hoping that something change.

At the bus stop and Sophia was there and there was something that was part of something that was new about Sophia and it was her shoes.

"Hey there, Candy."

"Hey there, Sophia."

Sophia was trying to see what is wrong with her and she was looking at her with such a happy face about her new shoe but not once did she ask about what happened yesterday at her house.

"I don't know what we doing at school."

"Hey, Sophia, can you help me with the work that I miss yesterday?"

"Yeah, I help you with your work and I need you to help me with some things too so please seat by me today and stay after class I want to hang out with you today because I couldn't hang out with you yesterday."

"Okay."

The bus came and they had gotten on the bus and they had sat together and Butler said hello to Candy and Paul was in the back of the bus and wave at her and they were looking at her and they were worried about the people that she is hanging out with at school.

They had driven to school and Butler asks Candy to stay behind and then she was the last one on the bus and Sophia was worry about what they going to ask Candy and so Sophia wait on her but one of the teachers told her to get to class, please.

Sophia look behind her and she was looking at the window and she couldn't get what they were saying and then she entered the classroom and there were about fifteen minutes that had pass until Candy came in class and Sophia was looking at her with such a smile.

Candy was seating down and Sophia wanted to ask her about what they were talking about but she didn't want to get into her busy and so she had kept to herself and so she had looked forward and wrote down in a notebook and slide it over to her and she read it and it said, "How are you doing?"

"I doing fine."

She wrote down back to her and she had made it to where she had put down something that she didn't want to ask her with her talk.

"What they talk to you about on the bus?"

Candy didn't feel like she didn't need to know the answer to that question but she wanted to give her some closer so she doesn't make her get mad at her and so she said, "You must trust me and not ask me anything that will make me feel sad. Will you make me sad?"

Sophia wrote down and said, "I don't want to."

Candy looks at her and she knew that she look into her eyes and she wanted to tell her to make sure that she can leave my questions for another time.

Sophia drops the conversation and she had looked forward and dropped it and so she wanted to know about what they said on the bus.

Back on the bus, Candy had stop and look at Butler in the eyes and so he asks, "How was your night?"

"It was fine but I having some problems at home."

"You is and what is that?"

"My father is hurting me badly and I don't know what to do about this but I don't want you to get involve in all this because it will make him mad at me and I don't want to get hit anymore."

"I'm sorry I am asking you about this stuff but we are worrying about you and we want to know about you and your safety."

"I know but you not helping you just asking my questions that will make me get hit more by him. I so dumb and stupid."

Butler hugs her and Butler said, "I'm sorry but I am worried about you but you are not dumb and you are your own person so please life will get better. You just got to keep moving on and everything will be alright."

Candy got out of the bus and then Butler said to Paul, "Everything is not going to alright. I can't believe I said that. I saying something to keep hope for her in life but that shit will mess anybody's life up and that is something that I can't fix on my own. I am just a bus driver. Nothing more Paul."

"What are you talking about?"

"I talking about what I going to do about all this and I need to do something that will bring that little girl hope for the future and I need to do something that will help her. And I here doing what?"

"You doing your job Butler."

"I know but I can't let this slide. You see her shaking after saying all that and that took courage to say Paul and we here hearing her call for help but the main question is. What are we going to do about all this shit?"

"You right what are we going to do about all this and that is nothing. Because its nothing that we can do about all this and that meaning we can only report it but that means that child services will have to look into it and that means that if they not there then they will try to reverse that shit on us and that meaning nothing when we go on to try to help her."

"I heard you but what does that make us for not helping her with this huh?"

"I understand that but we need to make sure that we can do what we can do and nothing else."
