Dark Elf - Chapter 16 - New Start

A month had passed since the end of the meeting.I decided to leave and to go to the unexplored land,a land that was a part of the three elven kingdoms.It was a land that most people feared because the monsters ruled the land and were all very powerful beings.

I left the capital on a Monday,I had bought supplies like rations,clothes.With all I had I could survive at least 3 weeks.I had also loaned a mount, it was a beast called osaros, those beasts were points that had the same purpose as a horse but looked more like an ostrich.

I rode for about 2 days on this weird looking mount before setting it free.I was about ten kilometers away from the area that elves call the unexplored land.That's when I met a group of dark elves running away in the direction I was going.They were frightened just as if they had seen the death itself with their own eyes.

As they were passing by me I asked:

-Hey, what's happening ?

-A-m.A monster ! He cried at me while he was running.

The other ones ran past me without even answering my questions.

I knew that the monsters in this area were dangerous but I didn't think that it would make adults run away before children would.In fact I knew a lot of things on this area that was so-called "unexplored", I knew a lot because Senso had taught me.For example, this zone wasn't really unexplored,it was even the place were the first elves were born and live. As a matter of fact,while traveling through this land it was said that you could see the remains of an ancient civilization.

That was the reason I wanted to come to this land, it was to understand better the ancient times and also to find treasures that were said to be artifacts worth a fortune. Because if you could gather the 16 ancient artifacts, it was said that you could earn a power that was in pair with the gods' powers.

But I didn't want those artifacts just to gain the powers that they would give me but more to analyze and decrypt them to see what the first generations had left us.To see if our descendants had left us some knowledge or some ideas that were unknown.
