Foreign Artifact

First, his father was called out, followed by his older brother and sister, and finally Levi's turn.

Levi slowly walked forward before he knelt on the cold ground, feeling very uncomfortable and shaky.

"Quick, pray quickly!" A cold voice could be felt on his back, and he had no choice but to bend down quickly.

"Mighty gods of our land, you are merciful in all your doings, the one who adores us more than ourselves. I confess to you…"

Levi knelt a bit muddle-headed as he prayed, with how many times he had already performed this ceremony of repentance in the past couple of years. Even if he stammered over his words, there were generally no mistakes, over them.

"It can't be right?!"

"That thing?"

"We've found it!"

While Levi was still praying he slowly opened his eyes from the weird prickling sensation he was feeling, he realized the vibe in the atmosphere seemed to have suddenly changed for some reasons, most especially with the words everyone was shouting out loud.

The gazes and glare his eyes met, and the way everyone was reacting on him was in contrast compared to the previous moment, they seemed to infer some kind of coldness, hate, contempt, and most especially their eyes were like those of vicious wolves, causing every hair on his body to stand on end Irom his nervousness.

"What's going on?" Levi asked as he raised his head up bit by bit, and stare at what was before him in a daze.

The moment he raised his head, for the first few seconds Levi felt all the words he had in his mouth dry out. The crimson fire which was unusually calm seemed to have suddenly gone from cold to extreme hotness, the horrifying heat he felt at this point made him break out in cold sweat.

"He is the foreign Source!"

Levi felt a pair of strong arms suddenly lift him up, after whoever had finished saying those words. His neck was being tightly grasped, barely giving him any space to inhale or exhale any sort of air, with his blurry vision he felt his entire body was yanked into the air.

The EYES OF THE GODS in front of him now, who always had a warm smile on his face now looked incomparably frigid. Within his blurry line of sight, he could slightly see his papa wailing before Levi felt himself being slammed to the ground heavily.

Now even the villagers isolated his family members, keeping away from them like they had some kind of plague.

"No! Please Once more, please try it once more! My son definitely would not act against the gods!"

The cries of his papa kept lingering on Levi's ears, but the grasp on his neck was becoming increasingly tight, to the point that he was feeling suffocated.

At this moment, he felt the palm release its hold on him, and the long-awaited fresh air poured into his nostril. Tears and mucus flowed out of his face, as Levi knelt.

"Say it, child! How did you go against the teachings of the gods of our land?"

The EYES OF THE GODS said as his brow slightly creased, at the sight of this child kneeling before him.

He was slightly confounded the more he stared, the more he realized the child strength was definitely weak and was not comparable to a powerful possessor of any foreign artifact.

Such a child could barely be considered a threat, which wouldn't have been able to catch the gods' attention or command them to act, though he thought it was strange he didn't have any thoughts of opposing.

"SoahcflevE--XinlloC--ZniarB!"

The EYES OF THE GODS, slowly spread his fingers wide then he started to move both arms in a circular motion, first up over Levi's head.

Then he opened his arms as much as he could, before joining his hands, with his palm against Levi's head corners.

A sphere of golden light flew from his hands, disappearing into Levi's forehead.

Following this, Levi's eyes became white as he found his mouth beginning to move involuntarily, answering all the questions of EYES OF THE GODS.

Levi's life had been very normal to the point that he found it to be extremely boring. When he was finally asked about the exploration earlier in the day, that was when the EYES OF THE GODS expression became completely bleak.

"Quick, surround the kitchen at the back of this house!"

A small wisp of energy slowly danced around Levi, before enveloping him, and the next moment Levi felt like his body was suddenly floating high up in the air before falling into a gigantic iron hoop, making him feel pained in his whole body.

With the escort of the steel knights, Levi and his family members arrived in front of their house.

Immediately afterwards, a group of steel knights rushed forward aggressively, as they kept on rummaging through everything before discovering a rusty iron sword.

"EYES OF THE GODS!"

The leading steel knight slowly knelt on the ground, as he offered up the sword with both hands.

Even though he was very sensitive, he felt nothing from the old rusty sword, so he understood even a normal means of detection might be useless on it.

"No sinister energy? Even appraising wouldn't work on this artifact easily."

Though he had no idea what the characteristic of this item was, or was supposed to do. He had already been taught a set of powerful magical spells to use and what he had to do in mind, so instead, he began chanting the magic craft incantation spell in an intricate tone that sounded as if he was about to cry.

The EYES OF THE GODS suddenly opened his eyes, as they started to shine with white brilliance, while his expression inferred how difficult the spell was, even still the process was repeated.

"Mighty gods of our land, please forgive your servant for his greed…"

For some reason, there was no strange change to the rusty iron sword that the boy had found. It was docilely still, as all sorts of spells were used on it.

Meanwhile, a group of steel knights carefully escorted the EYES OF THE GODS, before arriving at the altar in the village.

"This child's soul has already been engulfed by the power of the foreign artifact…"
