Long Live The King

Is it over? Have the Quincies finally won the war? Is the world going to end thanks to the contribution of the Quincy king? Will the utopia be built and the shinigami be destroyed? If we're going to find out, let's cut back to the present. The son of the Soul King walks away from his fallen son of darkness. Before he can continue walking, he stops once he hears a noise. He turns his head and sees that Kuroi is still on the ground. He starts to walk once again until he hears an even larger noise. He turns around and sees that Kuroi has disappeared.

"Where did he go? He probably ran away once I took his powers," said Yhwach.

"Why would I run if I have the upper hand?" asked Kuroi.

Yhwach quickly turns back around and sees that no one is there. He spins around but sees nothing but rubble and smoke.

"You can't see me, huh? My plan must be working," said Kuroi.

"Where are you?" asked Yhwach.

"You called me your son of darkness. If I'm your son of darkness, I must live and thrive in the darkness. You can't catch a shadow," said Kuroi.

"None of your abilities have anything to do with the shadows or anything a ghost can do. How are you doing this?" said Yhwach.

"So, your Almighty can't see through it can it?" asked Kuroi.

"What are you talking about?" asked Yhwach.

"Find me and I'll answer your questions," said Kuroi.

"I can't see you, so I can't find you," said Yhwach.

"Can you see me now?" asked Kuroi.

Yhwach turns around and sees Kuroi standing behind him. He slashes him with his reishi broadsword, but the boy vanishes like he's a ghost.

"You missed," said Kuroi.

Yhwach quickly turns back around and sees the soul reaper standing behind him.

"Impossible. You must be faster than I thought. I won't miss this time," said Yhwach.

Yhwach slashes Kuroi once again, but it phases right through him like he wasn't even there.

"How are you doing this?" asked Yhwach.

The young soul reaper taps the king's shoulder.

"Open your eyes, father. Then, you can finally see me," said Kuroi.

Yhwach closes his eyes and opens them seconds later, but he still doesn't see his son of darkness.

"You lied. I still can't see you," said Yhwach.

"But, you can. Just pay attention to where I'm at," said Kuroi.

"What does that mean?" asked Yhwach.

"I'm right in front of you!" exclaimed Kuroi.

Kuroi appears inches away from Yhwach's face, faster than a speeding bullet. With a Jigoku Piasa already charged up and released, Yhwach is unable to dodge it. The attack releases a large explosion and severely injures the Quincy King. Yhwach is sent flying nearly a mile away. He crashes into another part of the palace and is unable to move.

"So, it looks like our plan worked. I knew it would," said Kuroi.

"I broke your Bankai. I ripped off your horn. I took away your Quincy and Hollow powers. How do you still stand and be able to hurt me?" said Yhwach.

"It's pretty simple. Do you know the power of Kyoka Suigetsu?" said Kuroi.

"Kyoka Suigetsu is Aizen's Zanpakuto. It gives him the ability to manipulate a person's five senses. It's perfect hypnosis. I tried to get him to join my side, but he refused to join my army," said Yhwach.

"Did he put you under it?" asked Kuroi.

"No, he was too weak to," said Yhwach.

"So, you believe that you're not under it. Great. He doesn't know that you are here, Aizen," said Kuroi.

Aizen appears behind Kuroi.

"Your hypothesis was right, Kuroi Hono. He couldn't break the spell of my Kyoka Suigetsu," said Aizen.

"How is he here? He was stuck in Muken," said Yhwach.

"He was always here. You just couldn't see him," said Kuroi.

"So, you let him out of Muken to fight the battle for you. How pathetic," said Yhwach.

"You don't get it, do you? This is war. There is no fighting fair. You're probably wondering why or how we beat you, aren't you? I'm in a good mood, so I'll explain. For the first three days of the nine days before you attacked, I trained to regain my Bankai, but for the six days after that, I've been planning. I left the palace and went to the Seireitei. I discussed a plan with my father and we set it into action. First, we went to Muken. We freed Aizen only for this battle. We had him place everyone under Kyoka Suigetsu so the plan would work. If I wasn't under Kyoka Suigetsu, then you would have become suspicious about what was going on. I was under Kyoka Suigetsu until the battle started. I allow my greatest enemy to control me to beat you. That's how far I would go to take you down. When the fight started, I launched a weak Jigoku Piasa. One weak enough for Aizen to block, so it wouldn't kill the Soul King. When I said that I moved the Soul King, I lied. He was always there. Aizen made sure that you couldn't see him. I was going to continue to fight you until someone stumbled into the room. Uryu was bloodied and nearly beaten by Jugram Haschwalth. That's when I decided to change the plan. I asked Aizen to switch places between me and Haschwath and you couldn't tell. It seemed like you were fighting me, but you were fighting one of your loyal servants. You didn't break my Bankai. You didn't rip off my horn. You didn't take my powers. You destroyed your very last Sternritter. You lose," said Kuroi.

"I don't care about how complicated your plan was. I will still beat you," said Yhwach.

"How can you still do that if you can't even stand?" asked Kuroi.

Yhwach slowly gets up onto both of his feet. He picks up his reishi broadsword and prepares to fight. He swings at Aizen and Kuroi, but they easily dodge all of the attacks. Kuroi and Aizen flash steps away from the king. Yhwach quickly follows them by using Hirenkyaku. The two shinigami reach a different part of the palace with the king right on their tails. They both turn around and position their hands in front of them.

"Hado Number 31: Shakkaho!" exclaimed the shinigami.

Red spheres of energy appear in front of their hands and are launched at the Quincy King. The combined kido attack hits him and creates a big explosion, but it doesn't stop him. The Quincy king shall not be stopped by mere Kido spells. The Quincy King charges at the shinigami, but they dodge the attack and go on the offensive. They give the Quincy King a few slashes all around his body as he is unable to stop them.

"Enough!" exclaimed Yhwach.

Yhwach flexes the remaining of his spiritual pressure and the shinigami fly into the walls surrounding them.

"You two have gotten on my final nerves. None of you are strong enough to take me down. You are not strong enough to kill me. I will complete my plan and there will be nothing that any of you will be able to do about it. Now, I will deal with my son first. It is a father's responsibility to make sure that their children are well behaved," said Yhwach.

Yhwach slowly walks towards Kuroi and grabs his face. He then plunges his reishi broadsword into the chest of the soul reaper.

"Now that I know that this is the real you, I can finally deal with you," said Yhwach.

"Do you believe that I am Kuroi Hono? You are a blind old man," said Aizen.

Aizen reverts to his normal appearance and Yhwach is shocked. He takes his broadsword out of Aizen's chest. Before he can even turn around, his time has come. Kuroi appears behind him and prepares a broad swing of his large blade.

"Goodbye, father," said Kuroi.

"You bastard!" exclaimed Yhwach.

The exclamation of the two words means nothing as the Quincy King is cut in half like a tree log. The two halves of his body fall to the ground. The king of the Quincies has fallen once again.

"Is he finally gone?" asked Kuroi.

"Yes. Yhwach is a dead man," said Aizen.

"We won the war. Will there be peace?" said Kuroi.

"Yhwach and the Sternritter are all dead and I'm no longer a threat, so there should be peace for a little while," said Aizen.

"You could have killed the Soul King and became god, but you didn't. Why is that?" said Kuroi.

"I wanted to, but I couldn't miscalculate again. If I were to do that, you would just stop me again. I hate losing," said Aizen.

"I can tell. You threw a hissy fit once I defeated you two years ago," said Kuroi.

"Whatever, Kuroi Hono. Just take me back to Muken. There's no way you would let me be free," said Aizen.

"You're correct, but I'll let you be free for a few hours. I'll come to get you if you do anything suspicious," said Kuroi.

"I wouldn't expect anything different, Captain Kuroi Hono," said Aizen.

Kuroi walks out of the desecrated portion of the palace and looks for his allies. He walks through the palace, looking at all of the destruction brought by the war. He continues to walk until he hears someone.

"Kuroi!" exclaimed Orihime.

Kuroi turns around and sees Orihime running towards him. She practically jumps into Kuroi's arms in excitement.

"Oh sorry. I didn't mean to do that," said Orihime.

"You don't have to apologize. You did nothing wrong," said Kuroi.

"You defeated Yhwach, right?" asked Orihime.

"Yeah," said Kuroi.

You saved us and the world," said Orihime.

"No, we saved the world. Everyone was an important cog in this machine. Even you," said Kuroi.

"I don't deserve any compliments. I didn't do much," said Orihime.

"You're our healer. If it wasn't for you, we would have died years ago. You're more useful than what you give yourself credit for," said Kuroi.

"Really?" asked Orihime.

"Of course. Why would I lie to you? You're one of the strongest people I know," said Kuroi.

"I didn't think that you thought so highly of me," said Orihime.

"I guess that we should talk more. Let's walk together. We can find everyone else quicker that way," said Kuroi.

"Sure," said Orihime.

Kuroi sticks out his hand and Orihime grabs it. They walk together, hand in hand, in a search for their friends and allies.

"The war is finally over. Yeah, it wasn't as long as some of the wars fought between groups of humans, but it was tragic and it opened my eyes. I love my job and I may have found the girl of my dreams. I don't know, but I can't wait to see what life has in store for me," thought Kuroi.
